READ THIS POST, IT'S VERY IMPORTANT
When I first got my Galaxy S III this is what I dreamed of eventually running on my phone — A ROM that has all the capabilities of ParanoidAndroid, all the features of AOKP, and one that utilizes CyanogenMod as a solid base. ParanoidKANGdroid is based off CyanogenMod source code with all the features from ParanoidAndroid and AOKP merged into the frameworks and settings. I really hope you all have a good experience with this ROM. I made my own kernel for ParanoidKANGdroid that has overclocking, undervolting, and quite a few performance tweaks. Also, under settings you will see a tab for "Update Center" which will launch goo manager which is where you can receive OTA updates for this ROM. Before I conclude I would like to thank everyone that helped make this ROM possible.
Also, here is a link to my Github which has the source for the ROM and my kernel:

If you have an issue and you want to call my attention, here's what you do:
1. Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, go back to your stock Kernel, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
2. Search this thread, Cyanogenmod's, ParanoidAndroid's, and AOKP's as well for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
3. If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...
... stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
... explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
... collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.

do we need to wipe if we are coming from 2.01? what is the difference between 2.01 and 2.02?

This has an updated kernel and is compiled from source rather than ported. I would recommend fully wiping coming from 2.01 to this, however it may not be needed. Just use your best judgement.

Great ROM, noticed the touch screen is a little laggy
Is it possible to to enable the soft keys? I looked in nav settings and there is not a enable bar option. Besides that the rom is nice. Great job.

Love the look and feel, the seamless integration of a great number of key features/mods/add-ons. Running beautifully with no complaints thus far. Still working through trying & testing everything but I havent had a single force close. About to test GPS & MMS functionality, confirmed SMS is fine. Only question I really have is this: I see an option for custom app icons for the extra slots on the lockscreen, but I dont see how to set the icons. Is there just a finite number of icons premade for the common gapps that would be added in those slots?
EDIT: Confirm MMS receive is working, GPS responds smooth & snappy, custom carrier text works fine for me.
Everything is working very well and GPS locked almost immediately... the goodies that came with this phone are literally the ****

Ah, ok. I mistook the "Enable Custom App Icons" Option under Lockscreen Settings to mean the icons presented on the lockscreen. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
i also want the on screen nav buttons, also if you run this rom at over 1300mhz it will send you into bootloops.. ill switch to this as soon as i can get some nav buttons! until then ill stick to elitemod.. good work tho! im a gummyfan!

384 will definitely give you more battery life. Tbh i cant really say how much. Ive never done much testing in that area but im sure those in the air kernel cattegory will know. Personally i use 512 as its alot smoother to me. But each phone is different, some dont play well with 512. I say test em each for a day and write back. Id love to know

Can anyone tell me if it's worth the time to put into trying to supercharge this rom cause it's a pain in the ass on these JB roms I still haven't got one to 100% or will it not do much, my speed test are only around 20mbps up and 12 down and I would love to at lease double the upload but I'm still a noob and learning more each day any help is always appreciated but so far I'm liking this build and I think I will stick with it.

Go for it. This rom will be around forever. And if you make a good mod id love to bake it in, or you couldn even submit it to devs.

I'll try 512 first for a day, then I'm sure to notice a difference after switching to 384. Thanks

So, excuse my ignornance, but I'm unsure of what the difference of these Linaro builds really is, if someone could educate me or point me in the direction of some information?
Well overall. Much faster and snappier real world use. It was alot faster in ICS but lots of linaro changes got merged with jellybean. But linaro stills adds alot of "snappiness" to jb. Google for more and in detail info. But overall, just expect a faster and smoother user experience.

About to be the first to test this out! Damn, this looks sick.
EDIT: I've fallen in love....smooth, stable (for now), and looks just plain awesome.
EDIT #2: Couple of graphical glitches here and there, no biggie.
None of the latest kernels work with this, just a heads up in case you don't want a black screen. Awesome ROM dev.
Agreed, this looks pretty sick. Just wondering, is there any github source for this new ParanoidKangDroid project? Or where did you compile this from?
Sweet.. was waiting for this. Awesome work man, downloading now.
cant wait to try this! great job
this looks sick. is there any possibility of this moving to over to tmo as well? would be awesome. anyways im going to try it on my tmo phone. hopefully all goes well. also i have been dreaming of a mixture like this for a while. when running pa i missed some option from aokp and vice versa
an early present.. i'm excited!
Is this built from the same one for the epic 4g touch ?

It was a mix of source code from CM10, AOKP, and PA - mostly CM10 though. Then I patched the frameworks and settings with the merged ones from szl.kiev. Finally I tweaked some layouts and made all the ParanoidKANGdroid graphics in Photoshop.

no go on KT kernel 10.16
Any chance a no data wipe would work coming from PA 2.22?

Recommendations
If you want this ROM to fly make sure to install the UBER kernel, change the NOVA Launcher animations to "FASTER THAN LIGHT", and go to settings>developer and change animations from 1 to .5 or completely disable them.
If you are really daring disable Fsync for an additional boost! Download Trickster MOD from the Play Store for full control of your Kernel. I also like to change the dpi to 182 so I can have seven icons on the tray making it look more like SLIM.
If you want to learn how to develop ROMs like these go checkout out my manual called DEVELOP NOW!!!
If you are not satisfied with this ROM don't fret! I have more crazy ROMs to try found in my Various Folders on goo.im.
For better sized Liquid Wallpapers download this wallpaper app I made!

This ROM looks so tantalizing, and comes with Linaro so BONUS!
Anyway, I'll try this out as soon as I get back home and make a Nandroid of AOSPA on my Hercules.
how can ne1 not want 2 LOL
I think I need a fresh install, my gapps aren't inverted even with Dark Liquid turned on. Also Trickster mod is always brought up in the main kernel thread from this Dev, but should that be used here, or the Performance menu instead?
Just when I have my phone setup and working perfectly, and I tell myself that I am done flashing anything for a while..........
Sounds awesome.
Man oh living I'm all over this one. Dark and glass or transparent are my favorites. Thanks so much and I'm really trying to grasp the development concept, just old and slow

READ THIS PLEASE:
Everyone, sorry to disappoint but this kernel is now dead. Due to a serious serious issue with the git client, me trying to delete 1 repo caused the deletion of my kernels repo instead. There will be no builds anymore, I would have to start from scratch and I do not remember every line of code I have changed for the past 4 months.
My sincerest apologies to you guys, I am still shocked myself right now, I can't believe it did that.
I will keep downloads up for now but I doubt the kernel will work bug free into the future without keeping up with driver updates and such. If there are any GPL concerns from any mods here on xda, please let me know and I will take the links down. I had source up until it got deleted. Thanks for the help, experience, and the times guys. You made this kernel a wonderful learning experience for me. Look out for my app in the next few months guys, its my new project if git doesn't screw me on that too.

[COLOR="Red"]This is probably my last build for this phone, when the Nexus 5 comes out I will probably get it and sell my gs3, so if the

present themselves I will obviously update it.
4.2.2 is being worked on, but my tester has to get back to me on the latest build (I run 4.3 personally) and then I will upload!

do me a favor and try running the torch app and tell me what happens
I'm surprised that there isn't more activity in this thread. Sounds like a great kernel to me. I'm gonna download the 4.2 version. I want to see how it plays with Illusion Rom 2.1. Thanks for the kernel.

what are the full settings you use for the kernel to make it better than stock, has anyone experimented with this, i keep getting random reboots and dont know what the edge of doom would be for the kernel, dont know if someone would like to share their settings for the kernel

Recommended settings are in op. Reboots may be caused by voltaged on overclocks. Still working on this

this may be a dumb question but where is the op? I am wanting to find out what all the setting really do so I can better understand what to choose for my d2tmo. I didnt see the link in your description of the kernel so I am guessing it is somewhere els. I have not installed this kernel yet and I am currently useing MROM 10.1-20130801-d2tmo.
just want to know what exactly all these really do

Modify voltages on the 2 overclocks until you get it stable. Either increase or decrease by 25mV until it goes away. THEN REPORT YOUR NUMBERS BACK TO ME. Its hard to fix this because it runs perfectly for certain people (like me) but for others problems
