Stock 4.2 keyboard with number row! - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

I have tweaked the stock keyboard and added a number row. I did remove secondary long press for keys. I'm sure some people wont like that but I never use that and it makes the keyboard look cluttered. I'm not really planing to add features but the below instructions will help you add more tweaks.
Instructions: (Non-Samsung based ROMS)
- You obviously need root access.
- Download LatinIME.7z
- Extract file. You should now have one apk (LatinIME.apk)
- Make backup of system/app/LatinIME.apk.
- Copy the apk to system/app folder.
- Reboot

Everything works like the stock 4.2 keyboard with a added number row.

Thanks a LOT man this is awesome, you've made my day! I have a tiny request though can you make the number line disappear when I shift it to landscape mode?

I remember this happening to me on a different rom - what fixed it was tracking down and including libjni_latinimegoogle.so in /system/lib (it wasn't already there for whatever reason). Dunno if it helps, but here's hoping it does

How can I get this keyboard without root?
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app

Hey, for me the landscape mode's bottom row doesn't work half the time. I now realize the bottom half of the space bar and enter key don't work, it doesn't detect the touch. Portrait mode works perfectly though. I have a Galaxy Note 2. If you could, please, could you post up another apk where just the portrait mode keyboard has the number row? Thanks for anything

I would pay to get this on the Swype.

OK, I copied this to system/app, rebooted and now I have no keyboard at all.:crying: I am on Jedi Sons of Android 4.2.2. Any help would be appreciated.

Man, this is exactly what I was looking for! I never used the secondary keys either. Works 100% on AOKP MR5

Any chance you'll make this available on the Google Play market?

Nice and clean. Good Job

Will one handed operation work with this keyboard?

That is a Samsung feature which I think is cool but I believe I need source code to make that happen. So no it doesn't support that.

I don't have plans as of now. I don't think I can release this with out my own app signature which requires source code.

Look at Launcher.config.xml for the 16bit.
Enable landscape mode:

Already tried that but doesnt work.
whats the difference between the old TouchWiz mod ??
The font looks a bit too bold for the screen. & the icons are a bit too flashy. They don't carry the subdued beauty of the background. Just my thoughts.
sweet! nice to see someone is continuing this project, but i really think you should consider making a launcher as close to stock as possible with just the added tweaks. Speed, customizable default screen etc.
Keep up the good work!
I have managed to get additional locale to the gtglauncher without decompiling gtglauncher, but then again it is not perfect, and does exhibit a strange behaviour.
Whenever I reboot the phone, it will always force close once. After that, the launcher works perfectly, no force close or whatsoever. Landscape, portrait works just like as before.
pm me if you want to know the method.
Edit: The 1st time I tried is the 16bit disabled launcher, and it force closed. When I try the 16bit version, there is NO force close anymore.
Thanks a ton for all ur hard work. A 5 icon Dock and Landscape Rotation would seal the deal. Let the donation pour in to webstar to support him.
Just a suggestion, it will look much nicer if you remove the backdrops. Currently looks too cramped and cluttered.

Why is everything tiny? Has the LCD density been modified? Is there a way beside adjusting font size to get the size more stock so I don't have to get my reading glasses lol. This is a very nice rom and I would like to keep it. One more question; voice input? I don't see the mic icon on my keyboard. Am I missing the bus?

Version history
Planned for next version
* Based on XXBLG1
* Layout improvements (make top space = bottom space = between-rows space)
* React to bluetooth headsets (might be delayed until v0.3)
v0.1 (10 Jul 2012)
* Initial release
* Based on XXALF6
Looking forward to some feedback. Did it work? Or did your phone burn up?
Can I confirm with you that the important changes are in the app_list_view.xml, ids.xml, public.xml and CANotiView.smali files? (InteractionManager.smali, too, possibly but I haven't looked at it in great detail) I'm asking because I run stock so I like to odex my /system/app APKs and also because Samsung seemed to have made other changes in LFB (I'm guessing your ContextAwareService.apk is from Omega 7)
Thanks

Samsung added it in the XXLFB firmware.
EDIT: If you're using a custom ROM, it may be using the XXALF6 version of SystemUI. (When I've ran APKTool on these SystemUIs, I've always found oddities.)

Doesn't seem possible I'm afraid. The reason for this is that what we get in the notification pulldown when we connect the headset is a kind of notification that uses RemoteViews to render itself. A RemoteViews object is limited to including the following (according to the Android docs here):
FrameLayout
LinearLayout
RelativeLayout
AnalogClock
Button
Chronometer
ImageButton
ImageView
ProgressBar
TextView
ViewFlipper
ListView
GridView
StackView
AdapterViewFlipper
What we would have needed is a HorizontalScrollView, and we don't get that. I think this limitation is in place because dy default swiping a notification to the right clears it so we would have inconsistent behavior.
I GUESS it would be possible to hack the framework somehow, but I don't think I have the time or the energy for that.
Thank you for allowing this to be ported to the epic touch 4g
Hi!
Can some one tell me why the apps I choose to be shown does not stay always in the same position? They some time move left and right and so they don't keep same position in notification menu...

[REQUEST] S-Memo/S-Note App for Galaxy SII (GT-I9100)

The title says it all.
I have tried numerous S-memo and S-note apks on my S2 using ICS and JB. I tried different DPI versions. I never got it working. The closest I could get was:
- The S-Note app would open but force-close when I'd create a new note.
- The 240dpi S-Memo app would never fit the SGS2 screen(God knows why?).
- Everything install, opens but wrong size and no input.
I'm NOT asking to port S-Pen features! I just want the Doodle(Finger-drawn) input and Text input... It's really nice and the only thing that need on my GS2.
I've heard several rumors about a fully functional S-Memo port... but even after searching for more than a month, I'm not able to find a functional one... I have tried at lease 14-15 different apks. (Including some that I pulled off system dumps myself)
So, its pretty straightforward---> Is there a working S-Memo/S-Note apk for the S2(with fixed PNGs) ?
[It doesn't matter if it works only on GB/ICS/JB.. I'll re-flash my phone for this beautiful app!)
Thanks! I hope for a reply!

[APP 02/06]LG G3 NEW KEYBOARD ported to sg3

The LG G3 brought plenty of useful features to make your life easy including a new keyboard application. LG G3’s smart keyboard is much interesting with some useful functions. This smart keyboard slowly shifts the way you use to type as it likes to track your typing behavior. It tries to learn your meanings and make your typing very easy. You have option to change the size of keyboard depending on your needs like you should adjust it according to your fingers. Furthermore you can stretch out the keys and change the symbols on the side of space bar. When you get frustrated skipping via menus looking for a comma or some special bracket, you should be comfortable with this keyboard a lot as you can customize individual keys.
If you are using the LG G2, it is possible LG will bring the same features of G3 to your phone via OTA. But it may take longer. you can now flash the LG smart keyboard on your LG G2 using a custom recovery.
