Swype is fully free whereas swiftkey hv a paid version also..
Swype is much better than swiftkey in my opinion...
Fired From My FireDevice.
I've been using Swiftkey 3 and it works fine. Its predictions are great, saves you from having to type a lot!
I used Swifkey 3 for 9 months on my Note 1. But after using the stock Samsung keyboard, I have decided to use it exclusively. It has both Swipe & prediction functionalities.
Touchpal keyboard for me.
I`am using SlideIT for years now, very happy with it :good:
thx
The stock Samsung keyboard has Swype and Swiftkey included.
Go keyboard.
stock samsung keyboard.
however i find it annoying how it doesnt auto select prediction with space bar..
I love Smart Keyboard Pro

You can select that option in the input options in the main settings menu
Guys..who ever has not tried Super keyboard Pro.. Please check and decide ...its awsome...way better than swift, Touchpal and SlideIT
I use SwiftKey mainly because of the great multi language support. I do wish it was more customisable.

I like the Samsung keyboard better. I found with Swiftkey I was auto selecting unintentionally more than not.

How can we make it do so? I'm considering a switch mainly for the excellent handwriting recognition with stock samsung keyboard.
If there is a way where we can switch keyboard automatically with s pen for handwriting then I'll keep using SwiftKey.
Please someone enlighten us, been wanting this to work since my first Note

i find samsung keyboard best if only it auto selected predictions.
the row on top with they numbers is very useful and its predictions are very good..dont know why it doesnt auto select
Is there a way to get it to auto correct like Swiftkey? I tried all the settings but couldn't find anything like that.

Thanks for the tip, but I was looking to keep the S Pen typing feature. Like handwriting to text, I don't use it that much, but when I do it comes in handy

I cannot find a swype keyboard in app store. Anyone have a link to an apk for getting swype back?
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
You can always go to the swype website, register, download the installer, and install it on your own. An apk would be easier, but this has always worked for me.
Gotta say tho, I love the new JB 4.2 keyboard (with swipe gestures).

The one in the goody bag is the 4.2 keyboard. The one we want is the one that was on the phone out of box. He had the keyboard in v2 before he got the port with multi Window.
Sent from my Kenmore refrigerator. Or my Note 2. Both are kinda the same size.

Pull the apk from the stock Rom or use beta Swype, which is better.

Do you possibly have another link? The link you posted doesn't work for me. It says Web page isn't available.

Link works just fine. I just tried it myself. Might be a browser issue. Try a different browser maybe.

Works just fine on my S3.
Played with it for a week just for the heck / fun of it. Don't really like it much for the main reason that it doesn't auto correct. Thumb Keyboard 4 is my preferred, followed by the 4.2 Keyboard..

Everyone has their own opinions and all but I love having the line with the numbers. call me lazy if it makes you happy but I love not having to hold a key down or hitting a shift key to access my numbers as I used them a lot. before I flash I check for which keyboard it has now. If there is another keyboard that has the number row let me know. Thanks

Was hoping this would have auto correct. To bad like the S3 keyboard it doesn't. Oh well, I'll stick to the stock 4.2.2 keyboard.

Is it possible to have emojis on our stock keyboard? Can any one give it a try?
There are emoticons on the stock keyboard. They can be found by pressingthe 'SYM' buttonin the lower left of the keyboard (if notthere which it should be by default then check settings) after pressingthe SYM buttonpress the page icon to the 2/2 page and they should be along the bottom row.
If this what i am talking is wrong(as i havent practically did this)..then 3rd party keyboards are only way!
Hope i helped
