I love cyanogen mod but certain features only work when they want too like mms. Everything else works pretty good, so I was hoping theres a DEV out there that can make it happen for us boost mobile users out there. I was wanting something like they made for cricket. I'm sort of a noob so let me know if I can edit anything through ESPT or how to edit it too change my mms proxy
You might want to look in the Evo General subforum. There is a thread there regarding Boost MMS

in ##3282# (ON A SENSE ROM), have you already set (under Advanced) MMS Server URL to http://mm.myboostmobile.com ?
you will need your MSL to edit settings (free app in market for that).

latest leak from our friends to the north .. HTC Panache_videotron edition .. don't ask me... (thank you 911 Sniper and JoelZ9614)
like the last one, all i've done is taken the raw RUU and turned it into something you can flash and have fun with right away ...
rooted, busybox, deodexed, zipaligned .. and uploaded
already been talking to Drew and I think he's gonna work in anything that may be newer in this one but it looks pretty darn similar to the other to me ..
the previous leak showed a rom version: 2.09.1800.1
this one is: 2.10.1530.1
the previous leak was built on: 4-27-11
this one: 4-28-11
they're both built on 2.3.3
enjoy

Heh, gotta love any kind of new panache...
Do any of these panache leaks actually need the new radio or is the stock one fine? Normally I upgrade to latest radio for better signal.
In regards to apn.. did u add apns-conf.xml to system/etc?

Stock radio is fine but I'd recommend flashing the latest. It's been running solid for a lot of folks including myself. No issues with battery as well.
does this rom have any fixes for mms and landscape texting?

I love how everyone is asking questions like has this or that been added. Hows the xxx. Cmon peeps, he states in the op he didn't do anything but cook the leak. So the answer to everyones questions. NO!! No apn, no mms fix, no swype. As far as I can tell so far this is exactly the same with exception of the icons mentioned.

if u r referring to the question i asked about apns-conf.xml, i only asked as more of a help to get apns in ur rom without having to manually add it after flashing.. i saw that in ur *Royal Panache* thread u didnt have apn either...i havent flashed or downloaded it, was just trying to give a hand...
@ck thanks, it's good enough you don't need to add anything. Pure Sense UI is the best.

Exactly the reason i didn't want to release this leak on its own... I got it since last night and I thought about having too many leaked ROMs with just a name change would lead to mass confusion and Q&A nightmare. We should merge all the Panache Leaked ROM under 1 unified thread, this would help users with the same questions for all these Panache clones.

Ive been looking around and researching on how to get wifi calling on AOSP roms. I have made what I believe to be a big discovery. T-mobile now uses IMS for newer android phones, which is UMA/sip etc. I decompiled the ims-service.apk from the stock DLJA rom. I found an XML that contains the settings to use the service! You can get the IMS installer from here http://code.google.com/p/the-ims-open-source-project-for-android/
I put the settings into the app and tried connecting but it came up with ER05, invalid SIM card. I googled that and it I get leads to saying that the sim isn't authenticated for WIFI calling. I know that it is, because it works fine on stock roms. I've also attached a logcat of me attempting to connect. I've attempted to change some of the info of the strings to reflect my personal phone number but that did not change anything.

This isn't a suitable thread for "developer discussion." It also doesn't even mention which phone it's for, but based on "DLJA", I'm guessing it's for the SGS3, so it should be moved to the tmobile sgs3 sections.
Take care

Sounds like what he discovered was the xml file with the config in it, but it seems like there must be more to it than that, since it didn't work.

So I took part in a survey this morning sent from T-Mobile. They had some very interesting questions pertaining to Wi-Fi Calling and AOSP ROMS, specifically if I was running on a rooted device, and if I was able to get Wi-Fi calling enabled on whatever ROM I was using. They had other questions about Wi-Fi Calling and how much I would use it, etc...Apparently they're recognizing the community and are starting to ask the right questions. I like this line of thinking!

I've written code in C before; isn't there a debugger that could be used so you can step through the code execution step-by-step and see where the problem is?

Let us not assume they are asking these questions to try and help us.. Everything T-Mobile has ever demonstrated toward the hacking community was finding ways to prevent or patch and progress made.. like they're going to assist us with tethering or wifi calling on custom ROMs.. not going to happen.. They are probably asking so they can investigate how it is working on an AOSP ROM and patch the exploit..

Does anyone know of any other ROMS that allow one to select the phone network operator? On stock, and the other ROMs I've look at, it is greyed out...
thanks,
jf
You won't find it on any of the AT&T based ROMs.
When you say "AT&T based" are you referring to touchjiz or ANY rom on the AT&T S3. Just to clarify for anyone who may be reading this.
Any ROM that runs on the AT&T GS3, is OK with me!
And I have found one so far, so its obviously not 'won't find any.'
thanks.

JellyBam is not based on the AT&T stock ROM. It is based on AOKP and CyanogenMod.
I have not tested enough ROMs to be a 100% sure, but I think AT&T disables this option in its stock ROM. If so, you probably won't find any AT&T-based ROM with this capability.
But you might want to look at Canadian-based ROMs (those that as Rogers-based, Telus-based or Bell-based). The mobile network operator setting isn't grayed out on my Rogers stock ROM (but I have a Canadian phone, this may or may not have something to do with that). Examples of ROMs you may want to try that are Touchwiz-based but not based on stock AT&T:
- Dandroid
- i747z
- I747MVLDLK4_DJJOHNNYBLAZE_MODV1
- Bertiespeed

If you flashed the Stock T-Mobile ROM, and have a T-Mo SIM, you should have the setting - there isn't an "app".
Go to Settings > Connections > More networks > Wi-Fi Calling Settings.
You should be able to turn it on or off and then set your preferences.
Remember it has to be a Stock ROM, none of the non-Stock ROMs support Wi-Fi calling.

Sorry for my spreading of misinformation. I thought I had read that it was only Stock. Is it that the ROM must be TouchWiz based? Is that the issue - so no AOSP, CM nor GPE?
As to the APK, I thought he was asking about an APP he had to run.
Again, sorry, and thanks for the correction.

I remember on my old HD2 there was a thread where Wi-Fi calling was added to CM7 and I think also on CM9. Maybe a developer can get some ideas to get it to work on aosp?

I think what it is is that T-Mobile had the feature baked into whatever custom interface the phone manufacturer was using. With the HTC phone, it was probably baked into Sense. In the case of Samsung phones, they were baked into TouchWiz. Recently, the ability was added to iOS 8, adding recent iPhones to the capable list.
I may be wrong, but I think it was a way to discourage tinkering because they were trying to encourage people to take up expensive flagship phones. If WiFi Calling could be plastered to just any old GSM phone, the more expensive phones lose their appeal.
