I notice this too after fw update. Called sprint and they told me to try ##72786# the phone did a soft reset (no data lost). But it did not help. they said a software update is coming.

I was finding older posts on MMS problems wanted to find help for the ending 2012 year.
I was using Reloaded ROM for a while and pictures where being sent and received, no problems.
The Backstory
One contact would send a MMS no text just the picture and my phone would received it but would not download.
I tested with friends in state and out of state to make sure it was not on my end. Their pictures arrived and downloaded as normal so I blew it off as just this one contact's service.
Past weekend, MMS were received but not downloaded to the point that I would send one to myself it would say sent, but never received period.
Road to recovery.
Starting fresh.
Unrooted, currently on
Android 2.2
Baseband
2.15.00.11.19
::The Goal::
Pictures sent by myself to myself; and by others to me are sent, received, and downloaded successfully. :good:
Rootcheck app says I'm not rooted. :crying:
No firmware to be updated.
Profile updated
PRL update.
HTC update "4.24.651.1" I'll download it
Sprints been having a lot of issues with SMS /MMS lately. I believe part of the issue has to do with the Hurricane on the East Coast knocking out a bunch of towers. Then Sprint having to reroute a lot of services. You could call Sprint and have them Reset your Data. Just make sure your on Sense Rom, with working ESPT when you call them.
This won't help you get the messages back, but Google Voice works really well if you have it installed. Even if you don't use it for messages, it will store all of them on your account and recover them when you sign in on a new rom

Yeah it would work on stock and not the rom

I can, but the icon is still there
Call in to your voice mail on the dialer and delete the voice message. Press 7 while listening to the voice message. Once done then set up your preferred voice mail app. I use Google voice

I had this issue on the Galaxy S3 when I first got it with a phantom voicemail icon that never went away despite not having any voicemails. I solved it by getting someone to leave me another voicemail and then deleting it. Might work for you as well.
After disabling it as suggested before, reboot your phone.

Same thing happened on the s3. Call yourself from a different phone and leave a message then delete it from your phone.

Can't leave myself voicemail because I don't have voicemail activated.
Did try the reboot after disabling voicemail, still there.

You need to activate it and do the above, that's the only way.

Well if it's the visual voicemail notification that you're trying to make go away, then long press it in notification, and go to app info, and uncheck notifications. If it's the regular voicemail icon, I would say do the same, but looks like on stock that's tied to the phone.apk and stock doesn't seem to let you disable the notification. I'm not 100% sure on this but I think you can uncheck notifications on CM. Otherwise, yeah just setup voicemail leave a message, and then delete it.
I've tried the above method with no results? Anyone have any other ideas thanks ahead .
[edit] I've put this in the wrong spot I have an e4gt I would think the fix would be the same but I can't figure out how to delete my post sorry folks
clear phone data
on galaxy s7 edge with android 6.0 if you hold the notification until you get to "App Notification" then click on the "i" icon, once in the application info select storage. finally clear data
Root the phone and remove the app from your system......
For some reason my friends get an error msg when I try and send mms msgs.
"One or more of the message components have been deleted by MMS Adaptation. Either the message was too large or the components were unsuitable for your handset."
Can anyone help me out please

Has Anybody been having issues with texts lately? It seems like my messages are not getting through. Maybe happens once every 10 messages.
Idk if it's my network or the rom but I think it might be the network.
Running darthstalker version 1

I had similar problems with att settings on my phone and it was the APN settings that were off a little. Had http:/ instead of http:// for the mmsc and it wasn't downloading or sending. Not sure if you touched your APN settings but if you did double check them.
Has anyone had problems sending or receiving picture text messages? I can't receive them or send them... can someone help me.

I have problems sending and mostly receiving picture text messages using Handcent. I sent them an email. I think is how they set the APN.
Picture text messages work fine on stock message app.
Are you using stock message app? Check your APN settings for your carrier.
Note 3
no problems here with stock or gosms apps.
still running stock build, I'm on tmobile's network.
In my apt i don't get service, so the messages have the circle and are waiting to send. When i gain service it still won't send. A simple restart usually fixes for me and messages go through. Try clearing the data on messages app. Turn off phone take your sim out and put it back in and see what luck you get.

For me, 3rd party MMS apps only seem to send /receive messages after a reboot. Not sure what the problem is.

Gosms is not working for me.
Only SMS issue I have is when you open up a text from the lockscreen, you type in words and it doesn't show at all. Gotta exit out then go back into the text and it'll work.
I just started having MMS issues yesterday. I have tried uninstalling the update to Hangouts, clearing cache in the Messaging app and Hangouts, force stopping both, and clearing caches, reboots, toggling data, I can't seem to get an MMS to send or receive. Anyone else having this issue as of yesterday the 18th? It's driving me crazy!
From what I have seen this is a T-mobile problem as it has started happening with MANY phones.
I had this issue the other day. I ended up uninstalling the SMS app I was using which was Hancent and the issue went away.
I am currently using SMS Popup along with Chomp SMS and it appears to be working okay.
I can't get visual voicemail to work it just fc whenever I try to listen to my voicemail. I'm not rooted and i have the tmobile note3 all stock. I've tried reinstalling the app deleting app memory and cache and still no luck.... I've noticed that in call settings the voicemail settings section is grayed out and I can't access it, can anyone help me fix this issue or is anyone having the same problem as me?

I would say it could be a TMO problem, you may not have your voicemail enabled? Can you access VM through the traditional automated system? Also, if you want an alernative, check out YouMail in the app store. Every phone I get, I install that. It's free and you get greetings with no irritating T-Mobile automated messages.
Thanks for the reply youmail is a great alternative I'll stick with that and leave the tmobile vv alone.
