I am looking for a baseband that works best for Rogers in Canada. It doesn't look like there is a North American (UG) baseband available:
1. Would anyone know which other country's baseband would work the best?
2. N7100 is a international phone, so would a different country's baseband make a difference to the performance of the phone on a particular network? (I am just confused)

I bought the galaxy w in germany. I live in Argentina and i can't use 3G in my phone. I know it is a baseband problem. I couldn't find in any available firmware that uses the frequencies that i need.
In argentina we need these two:
Band V (W-CDMA 850)
Band II (W-CDMA 1900)
1) Is there any easy way to configure a baseband file so that it could use both at the same time?
2) Is it possible to use baseband files from different samsung phones? For example i have the baseband file from a Galaxy Ace. Could i use odin with this??? would you recommend it???
I would really appreciate any help. I have flashed over 15 time now....so i thought it was time to ask.....

So i have a Canadian Wave S8500 running 1.0, I have flashed a Europe O2 firmware for 2.0 and WOW is a major change the only problem is the modem, my SIM no longer works. I tried flashing the modem from Bell Stock firmware but it failed.
Anyway to flash the modem?
ASlso Anyone can recommend a FW that works with North America?

Thanks for that, i never knew you could SIM unlock for free now, it actually worked with my Rogers SIM eventhough its a Bell phone. My problem now however is that it only works on Rogers, it does not work on Bell. The SIM is detected but cant make calls and this is likely because of a UK modem that does not support Bell frequencies. I need a North American Modem for Bell/Rogers and Telus.
Bell/Rogers are the providers? On what freq they are working? Because wave 1 is working on this
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 900 / 2100
HSDPA 850 / 1900 - North America
I try to help but i think you need help from someoane who understand modem functions....

I'm currently in china and I need a chinese (China Mobile) baseband for my gnex (GSM). It should be region code ZC or ZS and for 4.1.2 JB. If someone could extract or point me to a link, it would be greatly appreciated. The CWM one, thanks!

Just wondering if any new china/hong kong gsm nexus users have any input on the basebands they use? and a questions about basebands itself, would any baseband technically work just that different baseband will yield different signal strengths?
Hello I have this note 2 N7100 international model. Is it possible can i put Note 2 stock rom for any Canadian network like rogers, bell or telus canada ? i could be some asian network but i am not sure about the network .
I bought my A70 from a guy on a local ad on the web and I'm from Canada on the Telus network and the phone is A70MN Panama TPA region. I only have 1 bar of signal and it doesn't matter where I am it still the same. Is there another region or CSC I can flash to get better reception on the Telus network? Any help would be great

Telus service provider isnt anywhere available on the SM-A705MN variant, you should buy a version for your country (Canada) , you can still try this :

I tried and I always get an error in Odin. Everytime I try to flash a different region on my A70MN I get an error
