Hello,
I'm looking for a app to wake my screen using the menu or back soft keys. I tried quite a few apps in market that use the sensor but most fail to do what I want exactly. Even a swipe would be cool too.
Let me know.
Thanks

Just a simple question. Is the lock screen supposed to wake up when you get a text message? I've had it for a little over a day and it wasn't doing it yesterday. The lock screen started waking up today when I got messages for no reason. I'm not sure if this is a settings thing. I looked through the settings but I don't see anything to turn it off. Any help is much appreciated
If you're using the stock app then yes. I use handcent and there's a setting to keep screen off when you receive messages.

Not sure if this happened with a recent auto update, but Google Navigation on my Galaxy Nexus no longer shows the 3D "Garmin" view when driving. Just a birds eye map like Google Maps Directions.
Anyone else having this issue or know a fix?
Thanks!

Just checked mine. Before I had GPS lock, it was as you described, but after GPS locked, it was the normal 3d view.
Yes it's as if I have no lock, but GPS is on. Any way I can see if I have a lock or not?

Press the "compass" in the upper left. Pressing the compass switches the map from "3D mode" to "true north" mode.
Fixed! Thanks Deez!

My gps wont even say the street names anymore. just turn right turn left. SMH
So is there a solution for this annoying black screen after a phone call? I mean, I end talking and remove the phone from my ear and instead of waking it remains black. So, in order to be able to quit the call or whatever, I must wake it with the power button. Then, I end the call and it goes to the lockscreen (instead of where I was before). Anyone knows a solution for this? I have it with several ROMs...
Same problem....not sure if theres a fix. Hope so

I use auto brightness and have never experienced this. Maybe a bad flash?

Hi
As I said it happens on all roms, not after one flash. Maybe it's a 'feature'

Can you guys shed some light on my issue. When I hit open phone goes directly to recently open menu..(close all apps, clear ram..that window).
I'm rooted 4.1.2
L900VPALJC
JZ054K.L900VPAMA7
3.0.31-903705
Thanks!
Yeah I'm getting it too. Seems like the home button is a lot more sensitive. I have found lightly tapping it now prevents it from going to the recent apps page. Consequently my International Note 1 N7000 also got the 4.1.2 update and it did not affect the home button sensitivity.

Hmm.. Interesting. I'm curious if anyone else is experiencing similar issue and confirm if it's not software and if it's hardware maybe if we can tweak the sensitivity. I love my home button and not side power button.
Mine is normal just to let you know

Same issue. Wakes to recent apps.
Rooted, MA7_OC
It's an issue with MA7. It only happens when using the home button to wake up the device right after the screen timed out. Only way I found to avoid it is to wait about 3 seconds before hitting the home button to allow the lock screen to kick in when it times out. Or use the power button instead.

I turned on my slide to unlock screen now it blocks the recent app trigger.
Sometimes when I long press my home button, the task manager and recent apps etc doesn't pop up. I then restart my phone and then it works fine. This happens every few days it seems like. Also, when I'm watching YouTube videos or sometimes Netflix, and I turn my phone, it doesn't go into landscape mode sometimes. It does this quite a bit. I'm stock and running nova launcher prime. How can I fix this?

First try the stock launcher and see if you can replicate the issue.

So you think this could be a nova launcher problem?
