I was looking at this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2113131&highlight=paranoidandroid but saw that the mic wasn't working I use the mic a lot for texting speech to text and what not...
So I thought I'd ask and see if there was any other paranoidandroid.

I just wondered if there's anyone else experiencing the same problems i do with MIUI 1.5.6, which actually is a great rom.
The issue:
When i use the default theme of the MIUI 1.5.6 rom i'm fine, everything works perfectly. But when i apply a theme/any theme i cant use my phone as a phone. When i use a different theme, my desire rings but nobody can hear me talking and i can't hear nobody talking. I think, for a device called a phone, this ain't the way it should be. Sms and apps using data/wifi are working fine though.
Is this a problem in the rom, or is it something i did wrong??
ps.
I don't write a lot in English, so forgive me any typo's or stuff....
Edit; Sh*t, wrong forum. I should've placed in the q&a section. Sorry......

Are you using a theme?
Go to settings=>call settings=>enable Call recording
This did the trick for me.
hi
can u tell me if this works on your device?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.porcelli.Monitorpro
i am trying to configure it to work...but i get unreadable files..
(i'm on Elite's ICS V11)
$12 lol... Are you giving donations too? J/k I would hazard a guess that it doesn't work.
From my understanding call recording needs to be supported by the ROM system framework for it to work. It's not something you can just tack on with an app. at least not in a way that would provide satisfactory/understandable audio.
Most application implementations rely on hooking the microphone. problem is with that you don't hear what the person your talking too is saying... Or it is very faint noise (almost unhearable)
Seems like there is a lot of recent positive review though so maybe it does work?
I looked for a way to enable to enable call recording on my phone back on gingerbread. Didn't find anything substantial. A lot of time has passed since then though.
I'm running cm9. Would be nice to see a free implementation built into our ROMs.
I for one would like to see some more constructive comments about this topic. Screen shots from the app look like gingerbread... Although it says rooted ICS supported.
Hey guys,
I'm looking for a Rom:
Must Haves:
ICS/FH13
Favors stability over good looks
The Google version of voice recognition where it types as you speak
Swype keyboard
Optional
Better battery life than stock
USB Mass Storage
That's all that's really important to me. I'm not looking for bleeding edge, I just want something that has swype and Google's verison of voice recognition with the red circle.
Does this ring a bell to anyone? Thank you!

I realize that part of my question is a dumb question... Turns out Google Voice Typing _is_ included on latest ICS Stock rom. The crap part is, swype doesn't integrate with it, so hitting the microphone button takes you to the old school voice recognition prompt
I'm still up for suggestions... Thank you!
Hi guys,
Is there any developer around that can help in modifying the Secphone.apk of the canadian S3 SGH-I747m ?
I saw many people wondering the same here in this forum .
If the (secphone.apk) is needed , I will upload mine.
thanks in advance
I use record mic and call, and old one, still on the market, started using a few days ago, but u need to have speaker phone on for it to record, the other people.
thanks man , actually I was talking about the method that gives you the call recording icon when in call without any software and it is already tweaked by many for the international version (I9300) but there is none for the Canadian/US version :/
search for "skvalex" on play market. it used to be $4.99 but now its $9.99. great reviews and it works. as long as ur kernel supports two way call recording. there's a rom (i forget the exact name) that includes builtin support.

Sorry about that. So any word guys? I use the video chat function often on my phone
By the way I am on liquid smooth with kt747 kernel
I don't have anything that helps but I do have the same problem on AOKP LTS2. Other video calling applications work fine but not the new Hangouts.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Might just be aosp functioning weird in general with the app since its kinda new... either revert to the old version or an stock based ROM. Unless someone wants to confirm it acting up on stock as well??

I am running CM10.1 RC2 on my T-mobile S3 and once I updated to the new hangouts it also doesn't work for me. I hope this gets resolved soon!
count me in with the same problem. Hangouts audio out does not work during video chat. All other apps work fine. CM 10.1 RC2
I am on CM 10.1 RC2 on my Galaxy S III and have same problem... can see the video but microphone does not seem to function.. the other end can see me but can not hear me.
Same problem here as well. I'm on Liquid 2.3.2 and 5/9 kt747 kernel. The other person can see me, but not hear me. I can see and hear them just fine. It's just an outgoing audio problem on our end... what's the deal?

Bump. This problem still affects all d2tmo devices not on Touchwiz. How has no one figured this out yet? I've been brainstorming all day with the audio_policy.conf file (which fixes the issue on the anything not d2tmo.) This is very strange. Let's put our heads together.
Does anyone know of a nonTW ROM that works with Hangouts?
