I'm using liquidsmooth rom and there's a bug when setting up the lockscreen security settings. I'm not locked out of the phone, but I want to disable the PIN security and just have it as swipe. When I click lockscreen settings I get the error "Unfortunately Settings has stopped working" then settings closed.
I installed holo locker, but it still wants to use a pin number. is there a file I can manually edit to disable the PIN lockscreen and set it back to swipe?

I would just reflash the ROM. Don't bother wiping anything, should fix it.

i have installed Stock with CWM kernel, baseband 70 + doomlord's Acronium ICS rom (full wipe, some apps backup restore) and everything works fine, but i have no default lockscreen. My phone is Xperia Arc S.
When i wake up device by home or power buton, it jumps directly to homescreen without "slide to unlock" screen. I can set lock by pasword, gesture, face and others, but i dont want to lock it, only prevent unwanted operations through default "slide to unlock" screen.
Are there some advices where's the problem?

As I write, there are options "picture, gesture, PIN or password", no simple "slide-to-unlock" which I want. I dont want to protect phone by password, I want simple screenlock only.
Try to reflash the rom without to restore backup.
Hi,i have a problem,i want to use the GO Lockscreen,but every time i lock the phone,first the sense lockscreen apears and after i drag the circle the GO Lockscreen pops out,happends sometimes with MILocker,does anybody has an ideea how to remove the Sense Lockscreen or make the GO Lockscreen primary as you select when you install GO EX Launcher.I mean,when i installed the go launcher the phone asked what do i want to complete actions and i selected go launcher and always use this,but for the lockscreen i didn't find any option.Can anybody help me?Thank you.

you need to download a custom lock app form the market called no lock which disables custom screen lock.

I noticed after the 4.1.2 ota update I can no longer hide my lockscreen pattern unlock on lockscreen even when I uncheck make pattern visible in security settings on stock jellybean 4.1.2 ,anyone else tried this an have same problem, I can hide the pattern with 4.1.2 custom rom like cm10 an paranoid android just not on stock.

Whenever I try to change font style, the message

After i updated my os to lollipop i am also having the same concern about changing font style then suddenly, popped up saying "unfortunately settings has stopped". What will i do so i can fixed this problem.. thank u

If you are using custom ROM, try flashing specific GApps
(For 5.1.1 flash 5.1.1 GApps)
OR
Try wiping dalvic cache/cache/factory reset
If you are on stock ROM, maybe it's a bug. Hope Samsung will fix it soon

I just wanted to add a fix that worked for me so I didn't have to do a factory reset. If you have twrp custom recovery under wipe or advanced there is an option to repair a partition. Select system and swipe the bar to repair and the "unfortunately..." message stopped when accessing a mode of settings that accessed a shortcut via activities in nova launcher that allows for turning off cell radio. It also stopped the "optimizing app" message I got every time I rebooted.
I can't seem to disable the lock screen or try another type of security. Does anybody know what's going on?

Have you ever try to replace the recovery??
Because I have same problem and now I cannot disable my lockscreen security either and I can't do factory reset because current recovery is not stock version but I cannot reach the recovery mode.
Do u have anything in security.trusted agent?
Only Smart Lock (Google) and turning that off doesn't change anything.
Are you on the latest Nova launcher?
VPN
If you have a VPN configured then you cant choose a lockscreen without security. Try deleting all your VPN's
