i meant mine old market, automatically updated to this earlier today

I didn't realize that, I figured they were rolling this out slowly. At the time I posted this I was using the new FC05 leak and my market hadn't updated.

But this is for people who...
don't know how to open Market or something I think. Seriously, that's all that's required. Though, I can see the use in having an apk around (UI modification and whatnot)

Clear market cache in settings/applications
It burns when I Tapatalk....

I tried clearing the market data, but that didn't do anything... How do you clear the Google services framework? (please excuse me if this is a dumb question)

Play Store sounds stupid, I prefer Android Market. Not all change is good.

At first it didn't work for me either, I cleared the data twice and then went through Google music and hit the button to go to the market and it let me update

The new icon? I like it.
But, most importantly, with the new market there is a small buy very nice section of apps for $.49.
Like Dead Space. Or Osmos. SwiftKeyX.

yahoo email app - 1.4.0 rollback to previous version?

Hi folks,
This auto updated on me last night, and i see the new version has an add at the bottom of the screen.. but annoying! Is there any way to rollback to a previous version of the app by installing an older apk? I tried one and when i started it said i needed to do a 'mandatory update' to use the app again

If they're mandate an update, unfortunately there is no way around it.
However I'm still on 1.3. Has not asked me to update.. I'm on a non stock dpi so it hasn't updated for me. I'll upload the APK if you want.

Hey Guys,
I had the same problem and I started to search for an older apk then I realized "why not try amazon app store" I deleted the one tied to Google play and downloaded the version from Amazon app store. Amazon app store is always slow on updates so I got very lucky.
I found yall's post from the googe search. I am currently using a SII on t-mobile.

Could always just link your Yahoo! account to the stock EMail app with IMAP.

I use the app sometimes when I need to grab/check my spam folder for something that doesn't sync correctly with EM.
I'll upload the app when I go on break for work.

Smart update on JB??

I'm now using JB but the update still download the entire apk instead of only the changes.. Or am I missing something?

Dunno if they've started that yet. And I don't think that's JB specific iirc. Thought I remember it being 2.3 and above. Its all handled on Google's end.

Sounds like it is enabled on all apps by default on anything 2.3 and up:
For Android devices with the Google Play, we launched the following at Google I/O today:
Smart app updates: For Android 2.3, Gingerbread devices and up, when there is a new version of an app in Google Play, only the parts of the app that changed are downloaded to users’ devices. On average, a smart app update is a third the size of a full apk update. This means your users save bandwidth and battery and the best part? You don’t have to do a thing. This is automatically enabled for all apps downloaded from Google Play.

No. No release date. My best guess is that it will coincide with the actual release of JB later this month.

EDIT (01/16/2013): Mediafire updated the app to ver 1.0.1. now compatible with Nexus 7! Have fun with your free 50GB (with an upload limit of 200MB/file) :silly: oh well, at least video streaming seems to work with the app...

edit: on website it's available but when i try to search for it through my device i can't even see it

50GB is only for a limited time though. Can't see in the small print how long it lasts for.

That is weird...it's supposed to work now...oh well, i just updated the files in the OP so you can download and install the latest version if you haven't yet...

I had installed it on my samsung vibrant yesterday, and just transferred the apk over to my tablet, worked without issues.

I am new to android so bear with me. I started to download this app but it wants permission to access all my data and also to be able to erase all my data on sd card. What does this mean and is it dangerous? Thanks

i downloaded and installed it, but kept getting fc's everytime i download an app or try to tupdate, then it kicks me out and i cant go back into the play store

It is very obvious that we are about to see a big change in Android. Nearly every Google app has gone to a simple, clean and modern look. Jellybean may be the last version that we see the black and greys.

i just did a clean wipe and install on my rom and gapps and the google play store automatically updated as if it were already installed. I dont think a apk is any use unless your on stock/non rooted device. =) just flash the latest GAPPS or PA-GAPPS and the new play store should be good to go. =)
