I'm building myself a K3-based ROM and have pulled a working 4.2 LatinIMEGoogle.apk from another known working K3-based ROM but for whatever reason, on first boot, I get keyboard FCs. I have removed the Samsung keyboard as well. Am I missing something other than just the single apk?

Yes, you are going to need the lib file that is associated with the keyboard for it to work properly. If you run a search for a cwm flashable 4.2 keyboard it should contain a /system/lib folder and a /system/app folder. Copy the contents of both into your new ROM in the same corresponding folders.

Bingo. That's exactly what I needed. I knew it was a missing lib but wasn't 100%. Thank you.
For future reference, the lib file needed is libjni_latinimegoogle.so.

Hi,
This is a really dirty fix but it works! Extracted and replaced /res/xml/music_widget_info.xml with the file attached. I've replaced the line android:resizeMode="vertical" with android:resizeMode="horizontal|vertical" and zipped the file back up again.
A little more to it then that since apktool can't compile the app but it's working
Just put the apk into /system/app/ or extract your own and replace the xml file.
Enjoy!

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/18412241/MusicPlayer.apk
Doesn't work..
I cant resize the music player horizontal.
Thank's
Just tested it from Dropbox myself and it does work. Downloaded the APK and overwrote the original one in /system/app/
This version came from Omega 7.1 so is deodexed. If your ROM isn't deodexed you'll need to delete the MusicPlayer.odex file in /system/app/.
I haven't got that xml folder?

tried to install the apk on my galaxy tab 2 7.0 (gt-p3110)
but unfortunately it didnt work. the installer simply says: app not installed.
do you think its possible to get this running on my device?
the tablet is not rooted and im not planning to do so (at the moment).
im looking forward to your responses. thanks in advance.
As the title says this MOD will remove your emergency call button in the pattern lockscreen.
I´ve modified the Pattern Lockscreen this way the button diasppears. So no more unwanted emergency calls while you have your phone in your pocket.
Just remember. Noone else will be able to call with your phone in case of emergency unless he/she knows how to unlock your phone.
Since there are various custom ROMs with a modified framework and since the framework in Arcos CM9 may differ in each release, I decided to write a little HOWTO.
First you need is my modified pattern lockscreen xml file you can download here:
Rapidshare or Dropbox
Extract it and copy the framework-res.apk from your phone or your flashable ROM to your PC.
Open the framework-res.apk with 7zip and navigate to the res\layout folder there.
Copy and paste my keyguard_screen_unlock_portrait.xml into this folder to replace the current xml file there.
Close 7zip and move the modified framework-res.apk to your sdcard.
Move it to the system folder in your phone and set the permissions to rw-r-r.
Use Root Explorer for the following step!
After the permissions were set correctly, move it to the framework folder and reboot your phone.
That´s all.
Below is a flashable Zip for Arcos beta3.
Rapidshare
Dropbox Mirror
yow honey!
you rock!
-salute!

Well. The modification is inside the vanilla framework and this mod is flashing the modified vanilla framework, so can´t tell. But as long as the framework isn´t modified there, it will. Unfortunally a lot of custom ROMs are using modified frameworks. These would need to be modified as well.

To get photosphere working on your rooted S3 :
unzip the attached files, copy the apk's to system/app and set permissions to rw-r-r / 644,copy the .so files to system/lib and set permissions to rw-r-r / 644.Reboot and enjoy photosphere on your S3.Working well on leaked 4.2.2.Files are taken from stock Nexus 4 JDQ39 ROM.
For inspiration and sharing photosphere's :

Will not overwrite the Samsung camera and Samsung Gallery, will add Camera and Gallery to be used for Photosphere.
Enjoy !
Tried Installing it on Omega v45, but when I shift to Photosphere and Align the first picture, the app crashes without a FC message. Any pointers? I had chosen to install the stock camera/gallery app from Aroma with Omega.
" I had chosen to install the stock camera/gallery app from Aroma with Omega " ???
Flashed the zips in recovery ? Maybe now you have the APK's installed without the needed .so files, they are in the Photosphere N4 JDQ39.zip,unzip and copy all three files to system/lib and set permissions.Without these lib files it will not work.

The Omega installer, as an addon, gave me the option to install the stock camera/gallery along with the samsung camera/gallery. Didn't have to flash separately.
The .so files were already there, so i replaced them with the ones in the zip and made sure permissions were 644. The gallery/PrebuiltGMSCore.apk were installed all permissions were changed.
If you installed both apk's from the first post with the lib files and it does not work on Omega, I should change the title in : "Photosphere on any rooted S3 except on Omega."

And i'm on Omega 45.1 too. I had one quit out of the Photosphere in normal mode the first time, and after that, I was able to make a photosphere of my room
So, for it's working great.
PS.: For those who are to lazy for putting it by hand into the folders, there is a flashable zip-file here .
The flash-able zip you are directing to installs older
versions of the apk's.Glad to hear it's working on Omega.

I know this thread is more or less dead but if could anyone confirm if this works for a 4.4.2 based rom? SlimROM 4.4.2 build 4 more specifically. Thanks!
Hi, so i forgot to take a backup before installing some rom..
can someone just provide me with the stock jb keyboard apk and the lockscreen apk?
and instruct me on how to install them..
would simply pushing them to /system/app work?
what did you flash?

Here is the link to the required apk files from .96- http://db.tt/6BiUQl9O
After pushing the apks to /system/app, you also need to set permissions like this -
XX-
X--
X--
As Ben has said it above, simply pushing the apk may not work. If you are on a stock/stock based rom then the apks will work but if you are on a AOSP rom then there are very slim chances if the apks working.

I need OnePlusOne3 stock Music player app, can someone upload it?
i second this. Anyone mind maybe pulling a backup of that app with Titanium or something?
Here you go
https://www.dropbox.com/s/947ug15klcqg00d/Music.zip?dl=0
This is not a flashable zip.
You need to extract and move the files to the system/app and change permissions accordingly..

doesn't work, either moving into /system/app directory, or installing as a normal APK.
using official CM13.0 04 June build on A2003.

It's the direct backup of the app from stock rom.
So, it's supposed to work only on the stock rom.
You should look for the ported one in the themes and apps thread. It might work with CM rom.

Try this " https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2aYS_xI_g-gRTRwdW43ZklKTFU/view?usp=drives "
Has no one actually considered decompiling the apk? It's likely juts got a command somewhere saying it can't install or work on anything that isn't an op3, remove that and recompile
It's most likely crashing due to the missing libs files. If anyone can help me find the appropriate lib files, I might be able to get it to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
