Having issues connecting to Exchange 2010 with my GS3 running CM10.1 Nightly.
I have another GS3 stock, works perfectly. I've been checking settings and everything looks good, but it says "Couldn't open connection to server" on the device running CM10.1 Nightly.
Is my only option to revert back to stock? Or am I missing something?

You could just try deleting that account and set it back up again. I've had that issue before and that usually fixes it for me.

That doesn't fix it. Doesn't seem like anything can make it work. Reverted back to stock firmware today, works perfectly.

I'm not sure, but I have the feeling it's no more. At least, it does not work.
Suggestions?
4.2 works fine for me!
It has issues with motorola phone tools if you have that installed, but even with that everythign was syncing just fine.
For me, it doesn't even show the option to synchronize the contacts.

Huh... sorry buddy I'm not sure what to say.
You could try reinstalling 4.2 if that doesn't work reinstall 4.1.
I kept using 4.1 because of the issues with Motorola Phone Tools.
Where can I find version 4.1?
I can find only 4.2 now...

Hey everyone,
I have been running CM 6.1.1 and experiencing a problem installing random applications. Many will install but various ones will not. I cannot figure out why. Any one experiencing this issue?

Do you have apps2sd enabled or apps2fat enabled? Apps2fat causes issues with some apps.
Any apps that cost money I can't download. It says server error. On my old rom it worked perfectly fine...someone please fix this

Try clearing user data/cache? I'm not sure. :/
Personally I would completely wipe and flash the rom again along with gApps. That does sound weird.
If it started happening on your old rom where it used to work it must have something to do with your payment method. Try using a different credit card or something?

Try changing it on a computer? That's what I had to do.
Turns out for some reason, my EXP date was off by a month.
I've been using the nightlies for about a week now and everything has been going smooth. I wanted to activate Google Wallet on here so I followed the guide on how to install it on the SGS3, and when I unzipped the file, Wallet was there. When activating, it said I needed to turn on NFC, but it was nowhere to be found. I downloaded the nfc.apk but it wouldn't install for whatever reason. I've been lurking but I can't find anything to get it back. Any help?
I'm running CM10 M1 and NFC is working fine out of the box. Go to system settings -> Wireless & Networks -> More... and you will find the check box to turn NFC on.

Wipe everything, reflash with stock kernel. Sounds like a bad flash

It isn't CM10, I flashed that a while ago and had it up until I unzipped Wallet. Is there any way to get NFC back without restoring?
Same issue...only with CM10...
...it seems so anyway. Flashed ROMOW and NFC is working fine.
CM10, as of the last nightly build (21-09-2012) shows as either unticked or when ticked, greyed out and unresponsive...can no longer change the setting.

Yeah, I don't know why this isn't more popular on the forums. I ended up having to restore and I'm afraid of trying again, because I want NFC to work.

Just came across this issue too in a cm10 nightly and found this post. I also get it on slimbean 2.5... The option is there but it greys out when I try to tick it.

I am having a similar problem, but the NFC options aren't there at all. CM10 M2 release D2VZW.
Ditto.

Ditto, I have M2 on my S3 Verizon and have no option under Wireless at all! I'm surprised this gets so little attention or mention!
Yep, I got the same thing going on with CM10 M2 D2Tmo when trying to flash Wallet. NFC options do not exist anymore. I'm going to restore from my backup and try running just the modded APK file listed in the Wallet thread and see what happens. I'm predicting that what will happen is I will give up and go to lunch
Figured it out.
So, apparently we've been doing it wrong, as we've been flashing nfc libs that we don't need. I think.
If you edit your build.prop file with these settings, do not use the htc_jewel.

Reboot to recovery, wipe your cache and your dalvik cache, flash this file and reboot.
Google Wallet will say unsupported device at the top, but it's basically just yelling at you for rooting your device because it will compromise the security of google wallet.
So, either you care or you don't care.
I was able to add my bank debit card that I use in google play without a fight.
Hope it helps,
Good Luck!

Oh yeah, it would be a good idea to edit your build.prop back to what it was before that way you reduce the risk of bricking your device or something else equally unexciting to deal with.
My WiFi icon is grey and does not connect what-so-ever, even after reboot, wipe, different rom, disconnect. Data still works flawlessly though. Any suggestions? Running SlimBean 3.1 right now, CM10 when this started happening
http://forums.androidcentral.com/verizon-galaxy-nexus/191164-grey-signal-bars-wifi.html found this on google. Need to try this later.
Read that it was router-specific. Will try wifi at school tomorrow and if it works then its a problem with my home WiFi.
Edit**-
so I woke up this morning and it appeared to fix itself -_- its blue again.

Did you use the Slim gapps?
Do you have a Google account associated with the phone?
If so, try clearing data for Google Services Framework. I did that the last time I encountered this issue and it fixed it for me.

Yes I do, but this problem arose while I was on CM10 using the 20121011 one from goo.im.

So I take it you switched from CM10 to Slim... When going from one ROM to Slim like that, you have to fully wipe, including a format /system and use the full Slim gapps package, not the upgrade package....

That suggests to me that it's more of a problem with your network connection than with your device; I usually see that happen with wifi when whoever's providing it either requires a login through a web browser or just blocks the relevant services. What sort of connection are you trying to use?

I did a squeaky clean install and flashed 3 Things from the AddOns Full package page (Gapps, VoiceAddon Google Now, and Extras). Also flashed KT747 kernel during original install and wiped cache/dalvik and fixed permissions after.

Thank you sir! This fixed it for me.
I had gone as far as a factory reset, yet nothing seems to solve this issue on my Nexus 7. I don't know what else to do. I can access the internet, but not Google services....
Did you try clearing the data for Google Services Framework?
Sent from my R2-D2 unit on the far side of the moon
Solved my problem
First .. Open a file explorer on your phone
Then ...go to root directory (first) ..then Search for a folder named 'system' and open it
Then inside system there is a folder named 'etc' ..open it
Find 'hosts' file and make a copy of it and rename the copy and delete the original file ...
Hope this helped
This Happened to me too
I was getting the same issue with my tablet. Grey icon for wifi and SSL error on my Chrome browser. No internet whatsoever, started happening when i tried clearing cache files on system.
I was searching and googling for answers abt this issue with my wifi, then I finally tried fixing it myself. This was happening to my Lenovo ideatab A3000-h, then I looked on every settings I could see, to check if there are any changes on anything. I was almost about to give up, then I saw the time was incorrect. I checked the system date and time and I saw it was set to 8am 01/01/09. I then set the CORRECT DATE AND TIME (automatic setup via mobile network), then poof, everything went running again. I see my blue wifi icon now..
The other guys are correct, grey icon means that there was an error on google sync, and in my case, since the time was all messed up, the syncing part was getting confused. Grey Icon for wifi doesnt always mean 'no internet'. just means, syncing is not successful
unfortunately, gallery stopped working when using "capture picture" via messaging
When using the stock messaging app, if I use the "capture picture" option, it allows me to take a picture, but when I hit the check mark to select the picture, it closes with the unfortunately, gallery has stopped working message. This only happens on the messaging app. Works fine with hangouts and other apps. Its also the stock camera.
I am on 4.3, but I have restored my 4.2 and same thing. It worked last weekend and maybe monday, but yesterday and today, its done working.
Ive cleared cache's and data and same thing.
Any ideas on what may be causing this and what can fix it?
Im on the unofficial CM10.2 and it just worked for me. So I have no idea. Maybe its the gallery app thats included in the gapps package you use.

gapps was built into shiny rom, nobody else had the issue either. Im throwing on FTL right now to see if that does anything. I'm at a total loss on what the issue is. I reverted to 4.2 and I know it was working there and now its not.
When restoring from recovery using cwm, what files or directories does not get changed?

I have no idea then if no one else using that ROM had no issues either. If you are the only one having that issue then it makes it even harder to figure out. And I'm not sure how recovering a backup works exactly. I always thought it pretty much wiped the whole system and flashed the backup.

Yup, only one. There are a handful of S3 users that have a similar issue as well but so far, i think I'm the only GN.
I was under the impression of a recovery backup/restore was a mirror image of what was backed up too, but there is something that isnt. The problem seeped into my perfect backup somehow.
