NBC App not working?? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

My wife installed the NBC app on her GN2. It isn't working. Of course she's furious at me.
Can anyone help me get it to work?
Appreciate the time and help.
Skid
Edit: Her GN2 is rooted, running stock MA7

Here's the answer. The Android app blows period. It doesn't work.
Here is how I watch nbc full episodes. I downloaded Adobe flash player from Adobe. Google archived android flash player download and install the latest 4.0 flash and install.
Go to nbc.com on stock browser. Press menu then desktop view. Select your show. Let the advertisement play then select size in the bottom right corner then full screen. Works like a charm.

I've owned both the iphone 5 and the note 2. I love the note way more.
But ios apps are smoother and supported by companies more than Android. Android still needs to catch up in that department.
But I could not live without predictive dialing that was not on my iphone. Plus I missed my widgets and the ability to customize.
If I could smash the 2 phones together then I would have the perfect phone. The power and customization of an android and the flow and smoothness of ios.

Sincerely appreciate the help.
I'll try to track down that archived flash .apk and get things going.

Free Dead Space and other games!

http://software2tech.com/2012/01/02...e-games-for-free-for-samsung-android-devices/
sorry if this is a repost
So apparently we need the Samsung Apps app that comes with the phone, i'm on Calkulin's E4GT Rom myself, so now i need to work on getting that app back, it is possible right?
There is no Samsung Apps app that comes on our phone. Im pretty sure that so far only international devices are supported.
yeah.. no samsung apps for e4gt..
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Search around the forum, the Samsung Apps apk is here somewhere. Dead Space appears for free on my E4GT with the app installed.
EDIT: Here is a link to the thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1405333
USA is supported. You just have to get the Samsung apps apk. Also if you use market enabler you can get exclusive games for other countries. And with chainfire 3D games that crash or just wont run, mess with the per app settings and most run great.
Sorry didn't try and post

This is interesting. The samsung app store doesn't seem to require an account. Not sure how the games are validating a licence.

Most of the games are trial only. The good ones anyway. I didn't try them all but ever one that I really wanted was a trial. And it doesn't tell you it is a trial until you install and run it.
Edit: Dead Space does look full and free now. Last week when I tried it was a trial. Just tried again and went through two levels and so far no signs of it being trial.

The gameloft stuff looks like it warns you if its a trial before you install

Dead space rocks the house. Makes shadow gun look like it was made by a buch a monkeys. It is the full game. I played the tablet version with chainfire 3D on my phone. The main problwm was you could not lower your weapon without a 180 turn. But this one everthing is working like butta. No finagling to get this version to work. Y'all R gonna luv it.

Yes it configures your bluetooth drivers to be compatible with the playstations3 hid bluetooth remotes. In a nutshell it pairs your playstation controller to your phone via a bluetooth mac adress that you match with your control via a windows app that the dev provides.

I only joined the Android party last April, but there's a number of great apps I find myself using all the time (in no particular order):
Pandora - I've been in love with this service for years, and the Android app is very solid
Rom Toolbox - Conveniently combines a bunch of features in one place. I only use the free version, and it's like a standard, very useful, Swiss Army knife. I imagine the paid version hulks it up to one of those inch-thick everything you might ever need in your pocket models. For me, the Terminal Emulator, Ad Blocker, Auto Start Manager, and Font Installer see regular use.
LastPass - While you have to pay to use the mobile client, it's really cheap and the convenience of having access to everything on the go is amazing. The app is comprised of two parts, really: a standalone browser for browsing to and automatically logging in to any site in your vault, and a system keyboard, which you can use to plug any of your logins into any app on your phone. If you're a Dolphin HD user, there's also a convenient browser plugin.
Waze - I typically use Google Nav when I don't know where I'm going, but Waze is amazing for user-generated traffic, hazard, police, and other information on your drive. I bring it up on my daily commutes so I can pick the optimal route to/from work, avoid speed traps along the way, and have an accurate, updated-along-the-way ETA for when the wife inevitably calls and asks when I'll be home.
Screen Filter - a sublime utility. qbking's video list didn't mention the widgets available with this app, which are my primary method of use. I have four different dimmer settings between 11 and 62% that cover just about every situation I regularly find myself in. A quick home screen slide and a tap and everything becomes much easier on the eyes in low light situations.
ZDbox - Like Rom Toolbox, this is an app that provides a handful of useful tools. It's my choice for app locking, batch uninstall, batch SD moves, and cache cleaning.
IMDb - I would die if I didn't have this baby handy for all the times I'm watching a show or movie and ask "where have I seen him before?!"
QuickPic - A stellar image browser with very convenient options to include/exclude specific directories on your file system.
Go Launcher EX - With themes, folders, widget resizing, gestures, etc., I love this launcher and its flexibility
AContact - I don't think I've ever heard anybody else talk about this alternative dialer/contacts; I stumbled onto it in the market one day and it's become my favorite for its clean, configurable interface
Woah can't forget GTA III

I'm loving AppBak. It makes a backup of your installed apps and when you restore it takes you to the Market for that app so everytime I do a fresh install of a Rom I can also install my apps fresh in a few minutes.

I have My Backup Pro not Titanium so I don't know but it only takes me about 10 minutes to re-download about 50 apps and there is only a small amount of data I restore. Then I end up with a complete fresh install which seems to be the starting point for solving several problems so I figure why not start there and try to avoid the problems in the first place.

You guys need to try the new Dolphin Browser Beta

Best browser yet. After installation you're taken to a html 5 game. It runs smooth. Now I see what HTML 5 is capable of. Also still does flash based off some sites I visited and flash runs great. Doesn't hinder scrolling and zooming. Everything is much better compared to the older dolphin HD.

That prob depends on what you need. I still want flash in my browser so to me Chrome doesnt do it for me.
One feature that I wish chrome and dolphin had for the s3 is the tilt zoom it looks like it has been removed from both. Both browsers have their + and -. I Use both
I think you can still enable tilt scroll if you go to settings/then/labs and check off tilt scrolling

Awesome, I'll be trying this out. I used to have Dolphin Browser when I had my Samsung Vibrant but it seemed a tad bit laggy sometimes. Nice to hear that it's faster
I use three Browsers, the stock jellybean one, chrome and xscope. You guys should try xscope, it's been in the game longer then dolphin. One huge pro is that it's not bloated with nonsense.

for some reason on my t-mo S3 I tend to prefer the default browser IDK why although on my tablet I prefer it. IDK maybe i am just used to the default browser. As the only problem i have with the default browser is the tab options (using ICS) i frequently forget i have like 5+ tabs open sometimes. one thing Chrome and Dolphin excel at although no flash in chrome is a no go for me as my cable provider cox uses flash on its tv viewing page and has not app yet very very sad.

What book app do you use?

Hello everyone. I've been thinking about reading some ebooks on my commute to school and was wondering what some of the apps you use. I would really like to be able to import books in and have the page turning animation that Play Books has. Any app suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

+1 Aldiko
I primarily use the Kindle app since I own a Kindle and like the sync feature. Before I got a Kindle I was a fan of FBreader. Aldikio has a better interface, but FBreader does a better job with displaying the text properly (I ran into a number of issues with Aldikio when there were multiple font sizes within a section) and allows you to customize it to a greater degree.

I have a collection of university publications and textbooks that is 400+ in addition to a slew of novels. Started as a way to get my grandfather to use the tab I got for him more often. He loves it now and I've been building his library steadily, he calls me very excited when I add the ebooks to his computer remotely and Calibre scans the folder and notifies him of the new additions. He's even learned on his own how to share his library with his friends and colleagues so if my gramps can do it it should be a descent option for the average user:thumbup:

This ability is built in to Touchwiz, and can be found in the settings. It's called Blocking Mode, schedules, allowed contacts ... just as you describe, free.
Tasker, Dropsync, Nova Launcher, Hovernote, Floating Browser, (in-app pro version purchase based on IMEI is annoying, but it works, and can be restored after uninstallation) and the best photo editor I've found is PicSay Pro.

Those are my top 3 for sure. PowerAmp definitely isn't necessary, but I like it more than the sammy player. Sometimes I may use beautiful widgets, but on the Note2 I use One More Clock as my clock/weather options and it's free. If any good kernels get developed, I'll buy the kernel developers app as well. I used to use Lightflow religiously on my Nexus, but seems like there is still a conflict with touchwiz software on that front for now.

Hmm let's see
Titanium backup (everyone with root no their phones should own this)
SuperSU Pro (wonderful for the root logs if you have stuff asking for root and you don't know what they are)
Mobile Odin Pro (I bought this to be supportive, I don't really use it...one of those "you don't know you need it til you need it" kind of things)
HD Widgets (best clock/weather widgets period)
Beautiful Widgets (second best clock/weather widgets period)
FPSE (PlayStation Emulator...very highly recommended for our phones. 60fps on every game I play)
Feedr (best RSS app/widget out there)
Podkicker Pro (best podcast app/widget out there...free version looks awful, paid version is much better)
Swiftkey 3 (and, when it comes out, Swiftkey Flow)
Realcalc (if you're in college and need a scientific calculator)
XDA Premium ( )
SetCPU (it took me 2 years to buy it since it's available on XDA free...but frankly I like knowing I contributed to that dev's awesome work)
