Hello,i would like to know,if somebody managed to make it work, the radio application called spirit fm,on the latest cm9 made by Arco.Because,i have tried allmost all the settings on the spirit app,and i can not hear nothing, sometimes a faded sound.if someone, could explain to me,how to make it work,i would be thankful to him.
Try this settings on your Spirit FM: Audio->Method = "qdsp5v2 Altern"
Reboot and then go to Spirit FM app and enable Debug->Mute kill mediaserver
Post feedback if it worked.
It's working.

I don't think that the chip will be damage with this settings because that is the right settings for our phone as the developer of the program stated with this settings. I try it and it works. I you have still any doubt, try to send an email to the developer. It will answer more about your questions.
Cheers

Just use World because Philippines is not listed there, or you can try "Taiwan" because this is the nearest country.

Hello,
Got a Motorola Droid Razr Maxx BR xt910, rooted.
Firmware: GAS_LA_SPYDERICSMAXRETBRLA_P002 version 4.0.4.
I need to record calls simply and with good quality. Already tested dozens of applications, but the most we got was record on handsfree the microphone, which is not acceptable for quality and because it is not always feasible chat by handsfree.
Does anyone have a solution? Do you know if this is hardware limitation? Or only limitation is the software version of Motorola?
I appreciate the attention and help.
Best Regards,
Marcio.
I believe you need to post here for your XT910 things ?
Because this is a XT905 and XT907 area which are different phones.
You share the same insides with a NON Maxx

any idea of an app that would do this? I used to use RECOROID on my droid incredible back in the day, dunno if thats still around or compatible with my M
RECOROID is still around but i think it didn't pass the regulations.
Remember it is illegal to record ppl with out knowing. Or something like that.
That might be the reason it is not found easily in the app store if at all.
So your best bet is look into a modified RECOROID apk version that has that option back unlock for ICS or JB.
Or other custom apk that don't come through the app store ?
Germanese,
In many states like Arizona, it is legal, and admissible in many courts to record a phone conversation. If you are party to the conversation, totally legal.

That's true, but remember i said something like that.
It may be and not here and there. Hence probably the reason of it not being in the app store.
Because it is legal in some states and not in others. So they removed it in total.
But I am pretty sure modding the APK of the old program mentioned would give him the desired effect.
Wouldn't it be the responsibility of the user and not the app dev of whether or not the use of the device was used legally? To me that seems like holding Samuel Adams responsible for a drunk driver... But I'm no expert on the law.

The topic of recording phone calls was recently covered on a Lifehacker podcast. Here are the links to some of the apps they recommended. You have to scroll down, but there are 4 or 5 different apps listed for those interested. You can also take a listen to their podcast for the discussion.

omg.....finally an app that actually worked to record both sides for once (Sanity). After trying about 10 other apps, one actually works without any other tweaks.
Just remember though, free version only records 2-3min. Donate version removes the limits and turns on other options. Even though the app hasn't been updated in almost 2 years, so far its been worth it just to find a recording app that works and includes a good amount of other options.

Just downloaded Sanity. Works great!

Try this - it`s worked great with Alsamixer & BusyBox (Razr HD as device in settings)
After heavy usage Sanity works the best of the apps I've used thus far. Has the most input options and highest recording quality. Definitely was worth the couple bucks for the pro version.

Sanity and Call Recorder by Skvalex dond`t wok on CM10.1...
But Call Recorder by Skvalex works nice on CM 10.2-11 and on stock ROMS
I have installed CameraMX, and Camera ICS on my Shpongle. I am wondering why these 3rd party apps work directly, but not the stock app?
I would appreciate some in depth answers, if possible.
Thanks,
Wait for the update ice ll provide one soon.

Thanks! I know there will be an update, I am not asking for ETAs or anything. Just a reason as to why apps from the market work.
Are the apps bundled with all possible drivers for all phone models or something?
Thanks.

i think he's referring to the stock AOSP camera
Video recording works with stock camera
Since 3rd party camera app Vignette can switch over to camcorder by using the stock one I was able to record video with the standard camera app. So I added a shortcut to my home screen with Camcorder Shortcut by Bryan Owens (no permissions needed!) and the stock camera app will record 720p video. \o/
So, I have tried 6 different apps from the marketplace, and I can't seem to find an app that records anything more than static. I need this for an ongoing custody battle.
Its legal in my state. So, I thought I would throw that out there before I started getting flamed.
Anyone have any suggestions? I did a searched and found a thread from last year, but unfortunately it didn't work with my build.

...and, what rom are you using? which device do you have? v 510gpe? Verizon? The 500? Are you rooted? Are you trying to use something other than the default video player? Any other pertinent information that we need to be aware of? Like, does the camera work? was it working last night?, or not for weeks?
Nobody can help you without knowing these answers. This pretty much goes the same for any question you might have about your device, other than of course the camera related questions.

To rule out hardware, download another video recording app from the playstore to see if it works.
Camera works yes?
I would also make sure nothing was disabled in settings that would interfere.
Also, go to settings- applications- all, and find the camera/ video recorder and clear the data. Maybe do this first

For future reference you need to give as much detail as possible. Its easier for people to help you. While trying to record a video try and get a logcat. If you don't know how, google search for it and it will explain how. If you still can't figure it out pm me and I will guide you further.
Post the logcat here if you succeed in getting it. Thanks
