So I love the ROM, and if I restart phone ram is low.... After I use a few programs (face book, XDA, internet sect...) My ram consumption gets very high... Then even after I kill all APPS and programs my team is still up in the 8-900 and only leaves me 3-300 left.... Have to restart phone to get ram to drop back down to 400.... any tricks on getting that low without restarting phone? Any help is appreciated.

1.) Searching would've answered this for you. Or even just checking the AOKP website. It states that the rambar doesn't read correctly.
2.) Android is a Linux derivative. It kills things on its own just fine. You shouldn't need to. This device has 2gb of ram which is usually always enough to work with.
3.) There is a dedicated sticky just above this thread you started for Q & A about this ROM. Why start a new thread?

You don't search. This thread you started proves that. It also proves that you don't even bother to read an OP of a rom that you flash considering the simple fact that the FAQ (which is the Q&A also) is very blatantly and obviously posted in it. We make those types of threads to avoid pointless thread starts like these. Good job dude. :good:
OK I am closing this up now. But before I do let me make one point clear. This is not a support forum. If you are trouble shooting issues with a custom OS on a $500 device you should use more powerful tools. Like a computer. Apps are limited and always will be. What you are doing should not be taken lightly. You could end up with a brick that warrenty doesn't cover.

So I was having a lot of issues with my phone, so I did a complete wipe and reflashed jugs 3.7 and quas' ICS theme, but now my transparent lock screen is gone?? I remember reading something on how to get it but forgot, I know one of the steps was to fix permissions, but that didnt work so i know i have to do something else first, anyone know??

I believe you have to change it to a different lockscreen wwallpaper that wasn't included and then fix permission because the ones included in the rom have the correct permissions. Hope that helps

Too bad then since searching before posting is actually in the guidelines of using xda. And had you searched instead expecting free 24 hour tech support for every one of your stupidest questions you would have found out there is a thread over in themes and apps about this.

The "search" function in the XDA app is useless. It searches the entire forum not just the SGS2 T989 forums. And it looks like he used the app not the website, hence no results.
I agree app search blows so why even ***** about something is u don't know if he or she did a search or not if u don't wanna help just pass it by and forget it, some people :/

There's a thread with all the apks that are safe to delete. If you had errors you obvs deleted something you shouldn't have.

No devs don't put out those type of roms because it would be a waste of time.. And it's something a general android user should be able to do themselves.
So just root your phone, download either system tuner or titanium back up from the app store, I would recommend system tuner because it backs up the app you uninstall right away so if you experience problems just restore it right away.
Also search for a safe list of bloat to remove its on here. That should take care of your request.

I just wish people would answer the question of the OP and move on instead of going on and on about the OP being a troll or whatever. It doesn't matter if the OP is a troll or not.
Every night before I go to sleep I catch up on a bunch of threads here on XDA. And I find it sad that every time someone posts a stupid question or something everyone attacks them about how much of a troll they are. XDA is here for a purpose: to help and develop. Not flame other people for asking stupid questions. If someone should post a new thread with a question you feel is worthless, don't reply, just leave it or give an answer to the OP's question and move on without flaming. And that's where Mods come in. They will clean up as necessary. If a post is worthless, the Mods will clean it up. Don't reply to the thread saying Mods do this, do that. Obviously they know what they're doing so let them do their job.
If XDA worked like that, we would have a wonderful community full of people helping people without the unnecessary flaming which always carries on and on especially on development threads which can get very frustrating especially when sifting through threads for information.

That is RULE NUMBER ONE. So tell me, why is it that so many people want to demand that this rule not be enforced, and then to make matters worse, they want to demand that we spoon feed people refusing to follow this rule?
And why is it that people feel the need to go even farther, to the point of making a completely useless thread to "test" the members of this forum and ensure that they are not referring people back to rule number one?
In addition to the forum rules being posted at the top of every subforum, there are also MULTIPLE WAYS TO SEARCH THIS FORUM! There is a permanent search box at the top of the site, and there are subforum specific search boxes on every subforum! Ladies and gentlemen, this is not a hard concept to grasp! All you have to do is type a few keywords into the search box and push search, browse through a page or two of responses, and save yourself and everyone else the trouble and/or embarrassment!
But instead, people like the OP want to demand that we ignore the rules and let people do as they please, cluttering the forums and causing the same questions to be answered over and over again while other peoples issues may be slipping through the cracks, or while people who refuse to educate themselves are trolling devs in their development threads to the point that said devs want to leave the forums.
OP, you tell us not to be arrogant, but the fact that you think you can police this forum and demand things be done your way is the very essence of arrogance.

I need a custom ROM for my phone, but it has a few requirements.
*Needs to look and feel like stock Samsung S4. The theme, and GUI layout are what i mostly need out of this. I don't like AOSP.
*It needs to run kitkat (android 4.4)
*needs to be stable
*must not have anything from T Mobile, such as their tethering system or their apps, (but still obviously needs to work with T-Mobile networks)
that's it really. I know i could look on my own, but there are so many ROM's out there, and I'm hoping someone can simply recommend me some to try.

Get one of the CM11 builds from the development subforum, and grab a TouchWiz CM theme from the Play Store. If you also want the TouchWiz launcher, there's some zip floating around that you can flash in recovery to give you that as well, search around.

thank you for not scolding me. I know being the new guy I'm sure to get my fair share of kicks to the butt.I'm here to learn, and hopefully I won't make a bad impression on the crowd. I'm actually rather new to the android thing. I've only just started using a smart phone within the past year (been using regular cell phones for quite some time now, so the jump is massive for me). I'm prepared to be dubbed noob, but in time I hope that will change.
I am a bit lost though. I understand it is indeed subjective, but why is this type of question frowned upon? I want to make sure I don't make the same mistake twice.
Also, thank you for the suggestions. I will surely look into them.
And to anyone reading, please bare with me. I know some answers to my questions must be painfully obvious. But I suppose I have to start somewhere. Baby steps, as they say.
