Hello All,
I'm fairly new to the rooted game and custom roms and what not...I am currently under a stock rooted rom, 4.53.651.1 - Odexed & De-Odexed. I was looking into flashing the Swagged Out Stock and had a few questions...I tried to look for some of the answers but couldn't find anything definitive. First of all, is the rom based on the latest ota update from sprint (4.53)? Do I need to apply the same wireless-n fix that I had to apply on the current rom I have? And does anyone know for certain if this rom supports DTA2SD? I believe that's it for now. Thanks in advance and any help is appreciated.

Yes it is current ota, wireless n fix is included in the kernel that's with the rom. And don't know about. Dta2sd

Does include Dark Tremor's Apps2SD. Remember to backup your data and do a nandroid before tryin' out my ROM!

Thanks man...looks like a great rom. So is DTA2SD baked in or do I have to flash it after flashing the rom? Also can I apply any of those 4g and 3g hacks that give u better signal strength and give u a boost..the ones that u have to do from the epst menu by dialing ##DATA#? Thanks again

by far my favorite rom, stable and great on battery life...thanx for all your hard work and stoked to see coming on nightlies now...
So we've heard about it, CM7 and ICS is going to be ported. I've talked to the author, fonehackezhs, he will do the CM7 first and then ICS, coz as we all know, ICS is hard to port coz of limitations of hardwares.
We always hear CyanogenMod. What is it?
Its a custom FIRMWARE/ROM which gives a device a set of benefits that surpasses a stock ROM provided by the carriers.

guys, last night i think i need to port cm7 to galaxy y. I'm ready to port cm7 rom. In p350 i can port most roms in 30 min to 1 hour. But i need your help. I'm thinking to port gio or spica cm7 rom to galaxy y. I'm not expart in galaxy y. Now you tell me anyother phone that i can use to port. Ok. Whitout any working custom kernel cm7 work. Anyway i need working boot.img i have creed v2.0 this has boot.img i will use this boot.img. Tonight or midnight i will start porting. Ok

thanks, i'm porting galaxy gio cm7 rom.
I am using the stock ROM 2.3.6 on my galaxy gio and I have no problems with it. So if I have to update my phone I would not be leaving my STABLE stock GB to a less STABLE GB. But Updating to an ICS or JB would be good. Most of the Roms Of ICS or JB I have seen are beta(in development) and Buggy with lot of things not working. Is there any Stable,Smooth and Fast ICS or JB Rom on the forum that is not Buggy and works everything on it.

I have galaxy gio but recently my phone is shutting down itself and restarts. Is there anyway to stop it? My android version is 2.3.4 MUGKG3.

Mine has been doing the same thing after about half-an-hour of use. Maybe its overheating? :S

Could u be please more specific which ROM are u referring to. It would be helpful If u provide a link to that ROM. Are all the features working eg camera,proximity????

no, it's android buggy or samsung hardware. I will try installing RC1 and will see.
Check CM9 RC2 by Maclaw, bad thing is that it is last upload from Maclaw... definitly better Cm then The Whisps CM...

There is a Jelly bean cyanogenmod 10 rom made by erikcas < you can find it here >.
There used to be a better one by Maclaw but TheWhisp shut it down
Actually the thing is there are many ROMS in the development section for ics or JB bot I couldn't find even one of them that is Fully Functional or a Fully finished ROM. If someone knows a Fully finished ICS rom plzz tell me...........

Agree, especially with apex launcher instead of trebuchet (wrong icon sizes in drawer bug).
Just installed JB by erikcas, looks good so far, just can't find where to add Google Account

Hi. when i install the latest cm11 20141013 and pa-gapps 4.4.4 camera is running, but when i install the hurtsky's kernel 3.2 or christopher 1.7 the camera has unfortunately stopped.I used clockworkmod 6.0.5.1 . Please help me

Probably both kernels are not compatible with the last release.

I tried to install 20141029 version, but there are some problems with music, which sometimes discontinue itselves. I tried it in Apollo and Poweramp app - both same. Than I trid install 20141013 version and there is same problem. Now I returned to 20140910, where are no problems with playback. All instalations was clear. Got anyone same problem? Does exist any solution? Thank you.

I tried to (I got the cpu step) rom and I like. But what is the difference between RELEASE 3 and (got the cpu step) and I wonder fix some performance stabilization in Release 3

first you have to use cwm 6.0.5.3 for gio,than do a factory reset first with 6.0.5.3 and than flash rom.

I have recently installed this ROM (Release 4.5 + Video Recording patch). Everything works.
I would like to know however, where I could get a functionnal G-Apps ? I only really need the Google Play Store + whatever else makes the Play Store work.

Thanks for answering.
I flashed a completely fresh install of the ROM with the indicated G-Apps (+CM-Account) and now get "Google Play Services has stopped" errors constantly.
Am I doing something wrong ? I don't understand.

I might continue development for this phone. I might stop after I get a working camera for cm11 (autofocus).

It depends which kernel version you want to use.
msm is 3.0.31 and msm7x27 is 2.6.37
