When I turn on my bluetooth to play music in my ford fusion, once connected irt automatically opens amazon mp3 to play my music. This had just recently happened. Before it would pull up googe music which is what I prefer to play music on. Anyone know how I can get it to open google music automatically when bluetooth connects instead of amazon? Any help will be appreciated

What if your defaults for Amazon already says "No defaults set" but it still plays to Amazon first?

I recently bought an album off of the market place. When I went to play the newly bought music it informed me that I needed to upgrade my music player. I selected to upgrade and it took me to the app called google music. Clicked to download and install. Program downloads then acts like it's installing but installs an app called "music" and the google music install process just hangs.
I tried removing my sd card, wifi on/off, restarted and still no luck. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I'm now stuck with a new album that i'm not able to listen to on my phone.

I was hoping someone could help me with the default media player when syncing via Bluetooth with a Ford Sync radio.
Im using CM9, and when I choose Bluetooth input on my radio, my Gnex automatically starts playing music with Apollo. Is there a way to remove that as a default option, or change the default to a different media player, like Pocket Casts or something else?
Any help would be appreciated!
** the launch by default option in setting/apps is greyed out and not changeable

Have you tried going into setting->apps->Apollo
And pressing clear defaults?
I have, no dice though... the "clear defaults" button is inactive.

you could try going into your system files and deleting the apollo.apk
Never liked that player anyways
So I deleted the Apollo apk, fixed that problem. Now when I sync via Bluetooth to my radio, Google music automatically starts playing. I have gone into app settings and tried to clear the defaults, but its still greyed out and not a changeable option...
Any other ideas?

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but did you manage to fix it?

Not seen this mentioned, probably because the US ones have it as stock.
As Play music isn't available over here, Google have frozen the app out on UK N7s. If you've got Titanium backup installed, just defrost "Sound Search For Google Play 1.0.1" and it will now appear in your widget list.
Obviously it can only be used for song identification, if you click the widget after it has identified a song it will just open a Chrome page letting you know that Play Music isn't available in your country.
It works extremely well, just as you'd expect from a Google search product

Just a note, the OS refreezes it when you restart the device which buggers up the widget. You just need to defrost it again and put the widget back on the homescreen

I've discovered it yesterday, along with Google Wallet, Books, Magazines and Video... All of these were frozen in my device.
Great stuff.
If your in the UK. Use a free us proxy server to sign into play music once. And you will have play music from then on

I used Spotflux to get onto Play Music on my PC (Lets you download Play Music uploader and use your 20,000 song allowance) but it still won't enable you to buy music from this widget.
Any app out in the play store that is similar to google music that allows you to stream music you have on your computer to your phone?

Samsung has a default allshare/music hub app, I haven't messed with it much but I believe it offers a similar deal.
I'll check it out.I've been having issues with Google music lately.

Hi, I'm using a Tmobile Galaxy S3 running stock rooted 4.1.2 and I have uninstalled the default music app from samsung because I don't like it.
I'd like to set Google's Play Music app as my default. I do have Amazon's MP3 Player because there are vouchers for free mp3s' every now and then.
The problem is that when I enter my car, bluetooth starts automatically the Amazon MP3 Player instead of the Play Music app. Same case when I plug in my headphones and press play it launches Amazon MP3 app. As of now I froze the app using Titanium Backup, but that is a workaround only.
How can I make the Play Music my Default music app?
Undefault the amazon app by going through settings and apps manager and unselecting default app.

At first I thought this will work but the app is not set to default.
Than that is weird lol. I don't use the app so I can't tell you on what to do. Never seen this brought up either, at least not in our section. It isn't an S3 only issue so you may want to try Googling it.
