a few weeks my buddy manually updated his NOTE 2 to LK8 (leaked version). Now the MA7 is available but he is unable to upgrade to it using OTA update. Is there a way to manually update it? is so can someone link me to the page. His phone is unrooted and doesnt want to root it. Any help would be great thanks xD

Also, if you are using a custom recovery it will not even be able to flash the update. Just wait until someone has it built as a flashable rooted update. It will show up in the development section of this forum.

A bit lost in the forums. Just upgraded from an AT&T Galaxy S3 to a AT&T Galaxy Note II. I am looking for an unmodified stock ROM/firmware for the AT&T Note II. There has been a very recent update to ATTI317UCAMC3 and I am looking to download the untouched stock firmware for a manual update via Odin. Could someone please provide me with a link from where I can download the full version which is over 800MB.

the most recent update was a modem update and was around 60-80mb. So I would recommend downloading the 4.1.2 firmware for 2013 January from http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=SGH-I317&pcode=0#firmware then doing an OTA update (on a wifi connection). hope this helps a bit!

Thank you for the link. I in fact saw that link earlier before posting on this forum. If you notice the firmware has been modified and is not the base stock. It has been rooted as well. Plus deodexed.. etc.

This is the only firmware I can find that is "pure" stock. .g
Edit: The site is official Samsung firmware for the SGH-I317, but does require registration.

Correct...the UCAMC3 base has not been uploaded to the Samfimware servers yet. the update is painless, and you will be on 100% official firmware...g
No offense to the folks running good versions of the UK 4.2.2 firmware, but since the U.S. version is out does anyone have that available to install on a a rooted but stock N5110 wifi note 8?

My US GT-N5110 Note 8.0 was updated to 4.2.2 through the setup menu last week. I found a couple issues with it. I would rather to stay with 4.1.2.
not sure why you can't just upgrade to the US 4.2.2 via Kies and then just root it? I can see if you were asking for a deoxed zipalign stock version, but since you didn't mention anything of that... just unroot and turn your 4.1.2 back to stock, and load up Kies and upgrade to 4.2.2 then root it.

First I was talking about a version to get that was downloadable on my own not via ota or kies.
I rooted but i am not running custom rom or recovery... Kept everything else stock.
And I can't unroot and update via ota because I get message about my device being modified still after I use voodoo rootkeeper. Anyway I am at a loss on how to update now anyway and I really don't want to use a custom rom. .

I have 2 Note 8.0s (GT-N5110). One is running CM10.2 and the other WAS running that CivZ ROM; now it's running stock 4.2.2 with root. I go back and forth between original ROM with these 2 units. Just using Kies going back to stock. and they are US version of 4.2.2

it is at http://www.sammobile.com/, go search your device number...make sure you download the right version. If you have N5110 US WiFi, you should be downloading "N5110UEFMI1_N5110XARFMI1_XAR.zip", unzip it, when you unzip, you should end up N5110UEFMI1_N5110XARFMI1_HOME.tar.md5, and then use odin to flash it...remember, this is stock firmware, so if you device rooted, you will loose...

yes, but you won't be getting any OTA updates if you're rooted. it'll just pop up a message saying that your device has been modified and software updates are not be available. you'll have to update manualy

My brother sent me an unlocked AT&T s3 from USA. I live in Australia and have been using the phone here since last year. Recently i found out that the phone is till running 4.1.1 software but when i checked for an update it says that there is no update available.
Can anyone please tell me that how can I upgrade the software here in Australia?
