Universal Battery Mod's
Hi All
NOTE:
Twrp recovery is not supported, you can try flashing the mods with it, as some people found that it worked for them, but normaly it will give a error msg when flashing the second zip (the battery icon zip, not the base zip).
It should not break anything, but it might make the battery icons only show 7 different percentage levels instead of 100, but that is easily fixed by flashing the base zip again.
I have Created some Universal Battery Mod's for the Nexus 7.
They have the Potential To Work on all Nexus 7, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S, and Galaxy S3 roms, but a "Base" CWM Zip must be made for each rom and flashed before you Can Flash the Battery mods themselves.
The Benefit of theses Universal Battery Mod's is as Follows:
When a update to a rom rolls out, instead of having to update each battery mod separately, now all i have to do is update the one "Base" Cwm Zip, and then all the battery mods will work.
so it saves me hours of remaking each battery mod for each time a rom update is released, which also means i will be able to update the mods to work on the new rom Quicker.
It is Easy to add support for Different rom.
And it is a much quicker method of making the battery mod's
If anyone would like support for a Different Rom added, or a different battery made, send me a pm with the Rom name, or battery icons they wanted, and i will see if i can add support for it.
i can also explain here how to add support for different roms if anyone is interested.
Instruction's For Applying Mod's
Download the Base CWM Zip For the Rom you are Using.
Download the Universal Battery Mod you want to Use.
Copy them both to your Device.
Reboot in to recovery.
Select "Install Zip"'.
Select "Install zip from Internal memory".
Find and Install the CWM Base Zip you Downloaded Previously.
When that has finished Installing, Do the Same for the Universal Battery Mod you Downloaded previously.
Reboot your Device.
And The Battery mod you downloaded should now be applied.
See The Bottom of This post for the CWM Base Zip's.
See the Second Post for the Universal Battery Mod Zip's.
Please let me know if you have any Errors/Problems with the mods, as i havent had time to Properly Test them Yet.
If you like my mods, Please Hit thanks.
Cheers
Corey

Hi there
I have used it on the stock ROM and it works fine. The only problem is that it is only the green colour.
Can you do one that is blue until it gets to 15% then goes red?

Hi,
The color starts as green, but as you loose battery it will change color.
And yes I could do one the colors you said, I will make it tomorrow.
If anyone has any battery mod which they would like made for the n7, or any battery icons they want on the n7, just send them to me. As it only takes a few minutes to make a mod with them.

Will you be making a smooth version of the blue/red battery?

Hi,
Yes I will be making a smooth version of it.
I should have it ready by tonight.
And if anyone has any ideas of some more good battery mods, or a battery mod from a different device which would be good on the n7, let me know, as I am running out of things to make, and I am getting bored .

Finally a percentage battery for paranoid android.
I think you have uploaded the 5 color battery as the 2 color battery, both give the same battery though.
Cheers for the mod.

Just a thought you could do a battery mod that only shows the percentage value with a black background. No other indicators present.
Also you could start playing with the wifi indicator as well. Maybe you have some interesting ideas on that one.

by roms and other things around xda now these are my first themes
so may not be the best please try it and tell me what you think and

to install the theme:
1.download file
2.find TWRP folder on SD card and open
3.create a folder named "theme" in the TWRP folder
4.place downloaded file in the theme folder you just created
5.rename file to just "ui.zip"
6.boot into recovery and enjoy theme

A while back on my galaxy nexus someone had created a gradient fix which fixes the ugly gradient effect on the settings menus and other programs that use the same gradient.
Anyone that can do the same for this?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1588613
I'll take a look at it later today. Because recently Google changed the background to an XML file instead of an image like it used to be so it may prove to be useless.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
Edit: Yeah unforturnetly i cant port it, since 4.2 its now an xml that controls the background_holo, However i could remove the xml's and then just use the image... hmm... gives me an idea... can you give me your rom's framework-res.apk and be willing to test something for me?
Yea sure, where do i find that file with root manager?
I found one in system/framework/framework-res.apk hope this is what you need!

Sucks about the XML change. Why change it and still not fix the banding? Do their engineers not see it?

No.. they've already acknowledged the issue and promised a fix. Just didn't happen in time for the 4.2.1 update (they had to fix that December bug quickly)
I think UBER forgot about this
There has to be a way! Can the ROMS be modified to look at a png instead of a xml file?

Ahh, really? I missed that! Thanks
I always just assumed that's how they designed it, I mean the first time if it was an image, someone had to have designed and approved that image right? That's why I always just assumed that's what they wanted it to look like, Cuz they could have just used a plain image if they intended it to be a flat background.... Lol,
(Now this makes me think they DID intend it to look like that, but when sooooo many users said they didn't like it they decided "hmm, let's just call it a bug and we'll change it later" hahaha)

Thanks for your work... i have a question for you... you only can solve my doubt ... i installed over 10 Fake Sunbeam... i have an htc one with sense but there's no difference with others... everyone posting the sunbeam says the original... from the dump.... i think it's not true... when i select my phase beam original stock it has a little description as your one sunbeam that you posted... and my other question is... is possible that with more than 10 fakes no one see the difference with the original in terms of speed? you're the first one that noticed this... the fake sun beams are stuck ... slow... the original phase beam o sun beam like the one you posted is very smooth...
so my final question is... you solve all the problems downloading ( i don't know where ) the really original one from the dump? thanks...
Actually, it's quite possible theirs are all from the leak. I will tell you now that the one I did is 100% "fake".
In that, I took the original Phase Beam added in the assets from the Sun Beam (Red, from the leak) into it and recompiled. I then changed some of the text to match the Sun Beam one and recompiled. The effect is that the exact assets from the leak are used in the "old" version.
But, my version is better because the frame rate is better and it doesn't jerk around.
So the one I did has EXACTLY the same assets (the pictures that make up the lines and circles) from the leak, I just put them into the original Phase Beam.

I'm curious as to how difficult it would be to change the battery charge color? It is currently green and appears off with the rest of my theme. I thought it would be the fame color as the battery. My mistake of course. Thanks for this by the way, I love the iOS style with my theme

This is beyond retarded. If you want anything from iOS then go buy an iPhone. I don't understand why people waste their time with such things. Why buy an Android device if you want to make it look like a crappy OS?
