[Q] Where is ROM wallpaper stored on sdcard? - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Im looking for the wallpaper that came with the ROM Jellyverse.
I switched it with my own but want to change it back.
Its not under the "wallpaper" section. It only shows the stock wallpapers.
Is there a spot on the sdcard where the ROM wallpaper is stored?
I appreciate any help. Thanks!

The wallpaper that came with the ROM is in system/wallpaper. You can get it out of the ROM zip on your SD Card.

Save your own customized wallpapers to somewhere on your SD card. When you click Menu | Wallpaper, click Gallery. You should then be able to use any image files on your SD card as your wallpaper.

[Q] Extract wallpaper?

I have just been trying leedroid 3.06 r2 rom and i found a nice plain light grey wallpaper which i used with this rom.
I have now moved to RCMixHD and would like to use the same light grey wallpaper.
Simple?? I opened the leedroid rom zip system\customise\resource and looked for the wallpaper to extract but it's not there!
Could anybody please help a poor noob and provide me with this wallpaper or tell me where i might find it.
Could be a wallpaper apk.

I found a wallpaper.apk in the leedroid rom and replaced the one in my new rom with it, rebooted...still not to be found.
You also need the lib files and other dependencies - not as simple as taking the APK
Here's a thought - when you choose the wallpaper in LeeDroid is it from the Live Wallpaper gallery, HTC gallery or from your SD card?

Go to you SystemUi.apk (in system/app folder), copy it to your PC.
Open it with rar or with zip7.
You will get acess to the res/drawable-hdpi folder.
Unrar or unzip this folder to your desktop. In it are all the icons that you wanna change... change them as you like... Put the folder back on the apk using the same rar or zip7.
Now - finally - you will have to resign the apk again (search how, 1st time it´s hard to get it right).
Push it back to the phone, backup the original as systemui.bak, and write this one over it.
Install it, reboot.... enjoy
Thanks me 10x if I helped .

Edit:
I meant to ask if you tried UOT kitchen??
http://uot.dakra.lt/kitchen/
Its easy to use but if you get stuck just ask.
Even simpler, use the theme kitchen.
http://uot.dakra.lt/
You can even use it for odexed (stock) roms.
Thank you guys.
I will try the online tool.
I would like to press the thanks button but can't find the thanks button in the app and even in browser

There is actually an app called NinjaMorph that you can get from the play store, its what I used for my S2 to changed some icons and you can do it all on your phone, the app will unzip then zip the apk automatically, all you have to do is pick the PNG your replacing the old one with, make sure you got the new PNG in your phones SD card that's all.

Problems with icon changing?

Hey all I searched for my answer but couldn't come up with anything. I have downloaded some icon pack zip files and want to use them to change my icons for my apps. The only way I have found to do this is using root explorer unzipping the file and then long pressing the icon clicking it and using root explorer to search through to the folder and find the icon I want. This seems like a really long process to change every icon. Can you flash icon zips or how does it work?
Also another quick question. I just flashed Nexus Evolution 4.2.1 from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1907506 and then I tried to flash the dark horse theme that he links to in the second post. The ROM works fine without the theme but when I try and flash the theme, it sits at the boot screen forever and will not go any farther? Can you use any theme with any rom or how does that work?
Thanks
Nevermind about the icons, I was dumb and figured it out.
Anyone have any input on the themes

The icons are easier to change with a custom launcher like Nova or Apex.
You have to use themes built for the ROM. Some ROMs like CM & AOKP & others use the themechooser themes that you just select in settings.
Yeah the theme i tried was posted in the ROM that i downloaded so i figured it was fine.

How to extract Wallpapers out of a ROM
I did this a while ago while trying to help someone out. It was a really good exercise in learning some basics about apks and such.
First off, read through this thread. In my last post, post #7, I show where I found some wallpapers in the Freeza's stock Rom. I would assume that they would be in the same locations for a different Rom.
The procedure in pulling wallpapers out of a rom is outlined in this post.
Hope this helps!
Unfortunately, my current Rom (Liquidsmooth) didn't come with any "built-in" wallpapers, so I can't show you how to do it through there, but that methodology should work for you.

Isn't it interesting how apks work? I found it quite amazing how simple everything was inside. It makes the idea of modding an app (by changing the various images in the apk) less daunting... Although, I know some apks need to be signed, and that can (sometimes) be an issue. I obviously haven't looked too much into it, but I had a good time searching through the apks when I did that exercise.
There are also wallpapers in /system/framework/framework-res.apk, probably never the current one, but wallpapers that come built in as well. That's how I extracted one from the S4 dump and set it as my wallpaper on my shift (see attached screenie)
@topherk - it's actually really simple to preserve the signature (when modifying an app that's not yours) once you know how to do it. What you do is, let's say you modified the apk by inserting your own modified images. To preserve the signature, you get a copy of the original apk (let's say framework-res.apk) and then open it in an archive viewer like 7Zip, then you compile the apk with your modified images and also open it as an archive next to the original. Then you copy the "res" folder from the modified apk into the "res" folder of the original, and BAM. Modified apk with the manufacturers signature
