New battery stats with 4.2.2 and Autorun Manager. Nice! - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

So I am thinking I could probably get at least 4 hrs screen on time and more.

I got 3 hours 25 minutes of Screen ON Time using 4.2.2, I used to only get around 2 hours 30 minutes when I was on 4.1.1 and 4.2.1. Same usage..

Ok. This 4.2.2 si the best.
Inviato dal mio Galaxy Nexus 5.0.1

4.2.2 has definitely brought back the battery life! Just as good if not better than ICS was.
I need to try that trinity kernel, can't believe you guys are getting 5 hrs of screen on time, awesome!!
Oh, and my data network wasn't turned off, I was just on wifi at the time 0_-

Are you guys on stock batteries? This the best I've managed with my sedio 3800 mah extended battery. This is with wifi most of the day. Some day this week i will see what i can get out of it on 4g.

What size batteries are you running? Apparently, some roms don't recognize the extended batteries and report properly.

Here are my screen shots, keep in mind this is on 4g for 95% of the day. This is also on seidio's 3800 mah extended battery.

How is this possible? Do you all have extended batteries? I only have the stock battery for my toro and can barley get 1h 30m screen on time.

You really should stop posting all these "issues" you have. Look at the amount of time your screen is on. Look at how frequent your phone is awake. I'm sure you know what's really wrong.

The issue is not with your Rom or kernel. The bad reception and high amount of awake time will kill any battery.
Thanks for the replies! Just figured I should be getting more than 5h of just using whatsapp while the screen is on. Guess im wrong.

Any idea why this happens? Also phones keep restarting
Sent from my GT-I8150 using xda premium
I don't have a clear idea but I assume that the battery counter on your phone is wrong in comparison to the actual battery % so what I did was turn off my phone and remove the battery for a few seconds and then put it back in and turn on my phone, it usually shows that my battery is lower than what the counter said.
So you mean I have to re calibrate my battery?

I pull my battery out and leave it for a few seconds but first off I actually think its the ROM and not you, PaanoidAndroid for our phone drains quicker than CM9 so its expected also is this on standby or playing games and stuff?

Its probably the ROM your using that's causing the big battery drain.
Sent from my GT-I8150 using xda premium
I was using stock ROM until about 2 weeks ago. Then I installed CM9 and I noticed a huge difference in battery life. I tried ParanoidAndroid today and it's the same story here. I'd suppose that since it's based on CM9 it has the same flaws.
I read though, that some guys are using CWM patches to "improve" battery life. Worth looking into, if you're not considering going back to stock ROM.
Yeah... After a few days ago i'am using stock rom. And I got better battery life, rooted no cwm, voltage control & juice defender. I have about 12-16 hours.
Compare with custom rom before, I never get more than 10 hours battery life.
But stock rom have less animation than custom rom.

Grainy screen

I just got my galaxy nexus, and I really like it . I am having an issue though . The screen looks grainy on low light, and it hurts my eyes, even on full when it isn't that noticeable . I am not on warranty because I got it used. It is a 32 gig lte galaxy nexus by the way. What should I do ? Could I fix this?

One of the known issue of galaxy nexus. You can make it less noticeable by rooting, flashing custom kernel, then changing the color multiplier

I agree, yes you have to wait a little when you open up instagram but it'll won't drain your battery. So I recommend this solution
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
I use instagram on daily basis and do not have this problem. I do swipe away via task list regularly tho.

I installed Instagram for the first time this after noon and in 45min it had eaten 15% of my battery (nexus5). I too had to Greenify the biatch.
I'm frequently using Instagram but I don't have any battery drain issues. I always swipe it away though.

I've been trying to figure out wtf was going on with my n5 as well and its very recent. instagram chomps up to about 25% of my battery. needs to stop.!!!
Latest version of Instagram is using 100% CPU (25% if quad-core) be it foreground or background.
The only way to resolve this is to swipe the app away in recent after using.
Wow
What app is that?
