[REQ] Samsung Calendar app - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

Hey gang, After loading different roms I noticed that most of them don't have calendar apps and then I'm forced to install one from the market. I love the GS3 stock calendar app and wish to have this on my rooted GS3. I'm running MIUI rom and I miss the stock GS3 widget. Is there a way to port this as an app so I can use it on any rom?

Its a touch wiz app
If you want it you need a tw ROM

I know, I was just hoping that somebody can port it. I chose MIUI because just about every rom out there is JB and I love it but I want something different on occasion. thats why I pick MIUI for a break from those JB ui's. I go back to stock once in a while because I miss those sharp looking widgets and smooth looking ui

I'm sure you would feel differently if you tried Business Calendar. It's very good. I like it mainly because of the awesome widget control, which other calendar apps are lacking.

Business calendar can also update to google calendar as well and the new version can be configured to look just like the stock calendar.

[Q] ICS TouchWiz lockscreen

I'm running the HyDrOG3N ICS ROM and am very happy with everything other than the lockscreen. I generally hate Touchwiz but after installing the official update on my girlfriend's phone, I find the lockscreen to be much better. If you get a new SMS then it appears on the lockscreen and you can swipe it to immediately go straight to the new message. Similar functionality for missed calls.
Is there any way to get the TouchWiz lockscreen on my ROM?
Download Magiclocker. There's a theme by h_zee13 called Galaxy Note which is exactly what you're after. It is a paid app though.

It's pretty useless since you can just drag down the notification bar on the lockscreen nowadays

I hate touchwiz too!
I ended up going back to a stock Samsung ROM in the end. I have to admit, as much as I used to hate touchwiz, I find it a lot more functional than vanilla ICS.

this app is pretty useful
its called widgetlocker lockscreen. its a paid app though but it has a lot of lockscreens and you don't have to be rooted
i can't paste the link here as I don't have ten posts yet.. sorry bout that

I think people just hate touchwiz JUST to hate touchwiz. Honestly, there is nothing wrong with the TW calendar app. I actually prefer to use the TW calender widget
i was hoping stock calender would let me "tap" at, say, 9:30 and set that as my starting time for an event so that I didnt have to tap at 9, edit the starting time to 9:30, edit the ending time to 4:30, and THEN save. Its just a couple less clicks, but its about the efficiency of the matter. Also, the default brown-ish color scheme is horrid.

I actually LIKE TouchWiz, believe it or not (more than Vanilla since owning an S3), but I don't like the calendar. The Widgets are pretty cool, I'll admit, but the app itself feels cluttered and sluggish.

Samsung stock apps

Just flashed cm10 and loving it but missing a couple of apps that were on the stock Rom
Anyone have the apk for these apps or know where I can get them?
- rotating live wallpaper (where you can select your own photos)
- smart alarm with gradual wake-up
- battery percentage apk
I really miss those apps but otherwise love cm 10
Thanks!

I believe that most, if not all, Samsung Touchwiz apps have a different framework than that of AOSP so they're not compatible on AOKP/CM10 (other way around still works, you can use AOSP apps on any Sammy ROM). There are most likely similar apps to the ones you're currently searching on the Play Store.
They are Touchwiz specific apps made by Samsung.. not just missing from cm 10.. they wont work without TW.. there are some ROMs on here that blend aokp look/feel with TW, try one of those. On a side note, this is really a Q&A thread, Apps/themes section is for posting actual apps and themes.. not just asking about them. I know our forum is blended and not like that but it is supposwd to be.

Touchwiz Calendar on cm 10

I have searched hi and low and can not find any info. I am sure I am not alone in my quest. Is there a way to have the touchwiz calendar while running aosp rom's. Love how smooth cm10 runs but really love the stock calendar. Also in the dialer and messaging being able to swipe right for a call or left for text.
I have seen themes for the t-mobile s3 that works with cm10, but nothing for sprint.
Anyone?

For the calendar, you can try pulling the apk from touchwiz ROM and then installing it on cm10. But I think it is like the swiping feature, hey are both touchwiz only because they require the touchwiz framework.

I think in themes and apps theres a pack with touchwiz themed apps...but like Whiplashh said, you wont ever be able to get the exact same TW anything on a AOSP rom because it requires the TW framework, and thats spread out over a couple different places and files
My best suggestion for you is to flash a TW rom and theme it like AOSP
Thanks guys. That is what I thought. I can live with out the swiping in TW but I really like the UI of the Calendar as the google Cal works, but just not the same experience. I looked through the theme section but could not find a TW Calendar theme. If anyone comes across it, please let me know.
Thanks for the replies.
