[APPS] MIUI Gallery, MIUI Camera and Latest MIUI Music Player v1.4.22

1.MIUI Gallery and Camera
I just tested the MIUI Gallery and Camera in the cyanogenmod forum found here.Found out they work on our phone too.The camera has some cool options.
So I made a cwm flashable zip for our device. I hope it is useful.
Bugs-Camera force closes on choosing color effect.
HOW TO APPLY-
Download the cwm flashable zip.
Install the flashable zip directly via cwm manager or by cwm recovery mode choosing install from zip option.
2.MIUI Music Player
I also found the latest miui music player here courtsey droiduniverse.
Consegregate had posted an older modded version of the player here
The newer one has some more features and is more responsive and also works on all devices.So I decided to share it in case anyone finds it useful.Here is the link

hey i dowloaded the MIUI music player & found it great in all aspects as in it allows to create playlist by selecting multiple song & also has the option of sharing .... the only option i didnt find was the headset control option ... can someone help me on this , is it not there .... or m i missing something ???/

You mean equalizer...right. You can use the dsp manager app in this forum or can use market equalizer.

No i got the equalizer ... i mean when u use headphones button to pause to skip songs .... that functionality seems to be missing in this player ... its really a great player ... & would be dissappointed if it diesnt include the headset control functionality !!

Unfortunately it does not have that functionality. But you can play with shake to change music and its music widget...

Thanks I love the camera app. Didnt find music better than poweramp...

Damn ... if it had also incorporated that into the music player .. then it could have become the the best music player for ace as it comes really close to the galaxy S player .... alas ... but i think it doesnt incorporate due to the fact that is made for MIUI ROM ... in which it automatically becomes the system player to control the headset .. aneways .. is there any blog over which i can suggest this change to the developer ????

Getting that overlay bug. Album art bigger than the overlay image. Any solution to this?

Missing letters in Music Player

So I've been itching to ask this question, I can't even find a forum that even discusses or mentions this, but ever since I got my epic, back in april, I've always experienced my letters missing in my music player. I prefer the samsung music player over the google music cause it looks great, does what I want (for the most part at least), and the google music looks...well, dull, it's too bare, butta$$ naked, for me, and the shuffle option always turns itself off every time I manually choose another song. So here I am, months later, many many updates and ROMS later and still it does this. I'm not complaining, jw if there's anyone else has this issue or found a fix for it, especially since I listen to my epic from the time I go to work to the time I get back. At the very least someone explain this to me, cause I don't understand why...>.> LOL

maybe if you post screen-shots there would be a better understanding on my part but if you have had this same issue since you've had your epic and it happens on every rom with every-update, i have to ask are you using titanium back up to restore it? if so, that could be the root of your problem. if not i say that you might be looking for characters that the music player just takes out because its using your music files Unicode tag that's associated with the files themselves and what you see as a error might be a correction! idk but hopefully it helps, try a different music player and see if it does the same.

Well I've never used titanium backup on my epic. I've tried other apps, poweramp is nice but I don't wanna pay and the only other I absolute love without question is the miui music player, but every apk I come across doesn't have the equalizer built in like the one that's currently in beta. Anyways, I took a screenshot. Its just random letters. Its just kind of irritaiting when I try to scroll to the E section when its not there, lol. I mean, from the sounds of it, this could just be an issue of my own that no one else has experienced? I understand that can happen with some unfortunate people, thankfully this isn't a life or death kind of issue.

wow i either need glasses or tapatalks image upload feature took a crap on the quality! I cannot see any words or letters spelled out with that img, but if you arent using tb maybe the music player needs an update? power amp is definitely worth the five bucks! I bought mine like a year ago and I use it everyday all day! it even fixes my album covers and song titles!

[APP] Revamped Spotify

Any thoughts on it? I think it's awesome. Looks way better but I think they took out the function where you can skip ahead in the song

I wish it were. As far as worthwhile music apps this is the one you want though. I pay $10 a month and it's worth every penny there's also a $5 dollar one if I remember correctly.
It's free to use on pc though

Lockscreen
I love the new app but the lockscreen controls don't seem to work half the time. Anyone else notice this?

Assuming you downloaded the new version of Spotify and have a G Nex, when you are playing a song just let the screen time out. It will appear on the lockscreen much like Google Music does.
If that doesn't work try clearing the data for Spotify.
The problem is when I pause a song in the lockscreen and leave for a minute it won't play again.

Oic... Sounds like Android is closing the program because it thinks it's being unused. I'll try

Yeah, the lockscreen control is iffy. No scrobble to last.fm. And pause stops all together. You have to re-enter the app to start it all over.
I'd never tried spotify before so I got the 48 hours free. And then I'll sign up for the 30 days free; however, the Rdio app has a lot more extras and functionality. And it's also recently been updated to holo theme, as well.

When I came across the review of the new Spotify revamp over on Engadget today, I couldn't help but...

The old Spotify app used to FC, freeze, and fail to successfully sync music for offline use. The revamped app has solved all these issues for me. Not to mention the app is MUCH more responsive than the old version.
If you are a Spotify user this is a must have.

But in my case, all the starred items in that playlist do not appear. Anybody else experiencing this?

The Spotify Preview works so much better than the one listen in the Play Store. I do notice some pausing while streaming. Is this happening to anyone else? It may just be my cruddy data connection in the office. Dunno though.

Does the alfa tags work via blue tooth (does it show the name of the song in car stereo, when streaming through blue tooth)?

One problem I'm having that I'd like confirmed or not is that there seems to be no way now to listen through your entire music collection as one giant playlist. I used to do this quite a lot on the old spotify and set to shuffle to jump randomly between all playlists. Don't seem to be able to do that now. Am I missing something?

Thanks so much for posting that!!! Love the service but hated the app. It was super buggy with a horrible UI and limited features. This is so much better.

How do I Get Beats Audio to Work on Epic 4G Touch

Has anyone with an Epic 4G Touch got Beats audio to work on their phone I've done tried several times on several different Roms and it seems like its just not in the stars for me to try this out.....

Rujelus has it baked into Blu Kuban, it's not a separate app. If you use good earphones then you'll be able to tell the difference.
I think someone posted an actual beats audio down in themes & apps section though.

Ohhhhhhhh..... I was thinking it was some type of app you use to tweak the music yourself like some type of EQ... Maybe someone from your team can do that make a app for people who love music and give them the freedom to tune the sound the way they want... These EQ's the come with the phones are ok but not real studio quality i wanna be able to set every pitch bass pop and what ever else i here......lol

Someone might be working on it. Have you checked the play store for apps that might be better than the stock one?

You can also download the beatsaudio_updater as a separate addon/Mod.
I know it is available for many of Mijahs ROM's as a standalone. Have a look in the "MOD's & ADD ON" folders for the current releases of " the ROM with no name", "the goodness" and " ICS Blend MiNI" know they are baked in or available as seperate mods . I have flashed the beats update on several ROM's other than those by created by Mijah and with good results. It is flashable via custom recovery.
NOTE: you will not have a separate app available for beats. You"ll see them available under EQ settings for audioplayers . Hope that helps.

Also there is zip file available called awsome beats audio which can be flashed and also mijjh slim rom 2 has great working beats audio there really great.

Is it possible to theme the stock LG Music Player?

Subject says it all... After trying several different music players and dealing with lots of problems, I have found I really love the functionality of the stock LG player. The only thing is... it's PURPLE. :crying:

Have you tried the play music app? Originally I dismissed it and thought lg stock was the best music player same as you but after retrying play music I now think it's the best app.

I like the LG player but this purple thing is very ugly... I have the same question, is it possible to theme it? I tried Shuttle, good player but there is no 5x2 widget to put in my homescreen

Shortly after I posted this, I stumbled across the GoneMAD Music Player. I've since stopped using the LG player and Rocketplayer PRO that I had paid for. GoneMAD works flawlessly, has an awesome interface with tons of customization options, sounds great, and sends full song data to my car stereo over bluetooth without fail.
Highly recommend it!

I hate the look of it. Same with any playstore music player it looks very dingy compared to lg stock player or play music. But the customization on this thing is insane. I may end up using it just for that reason.

Surprised you don't like the look of it... I like the option to have the album art faded in the background.
Oh, also forgot to mention that I installed Viper4Android and it's improved the sound out of the phone by a lot.

I tinkered with that setting, didn't see any difference. Didn't see the difference between black and gradient background either.
Also I don't know anything about equalizing. Would it be worth figuring out how to use the app if I use $20 earphones lol.

yeah, i like the idea of having album art faded in the background and on the lockscreen, but dude tell me how to make one album art for all of the music, i don't like the stock album art, it's really ugly, and i have like 300+ songs and can't change every song's cover art!! it will take a whole year for me !! is there is any fast way to change the cover art ??

If you have root, it's a simple install. Check it out and see what you think, it's just a matter of playing with the different built-in EQs and other settings, like ViperBASS and ViperCLARITY. I don't use the ViperBASS because I'm playing my music through a stock stereo in my car, but the ViperCLARITY makes it sound awesome!

This is much much more , much more good looking ... Now i really hate that purple layout ! What were they thinking with that colour coding apps ... I don't like it at all.
