[MOD][APP]Xperia S swype keyboard for SIII[ICS]

Well this is my my first thread/mod/port in SIII section,I only got the device few hours ago so pardon me for small mistakes =)
After using S3 little I really didn't liked the keyboard(or pizzwizz for that matter lolz) & the swype word recognition that came with it.The best swype keyboard I used personally is the one that came with Xperia S ICS update.And since I know my way around Xperia fw's well I thought what the hell I will port it
Nice keyboard,made the zip for my personal use and thought to share it with the community =)
Sound when pressing keys options seems to be not working atm(no sound),later will fix it =)

This is the latest version of Xperia kb from Xperia S fw's.Maybe better I guess
soon will update the apk to Xperia T latest one

Has anyone tried installing this on the stock jb ROM without flashing?.. because if it better than the 4.2 key board I will be in for it as I hav always love sonys input on the ui of all the apps they have done... tbh would love to see a Sony ROM on the s3 =]

Well it worked with JB XXLS2 (RocketRom v1) for Galaxy Note but it stopped working with JB XXLS7. Would be very grateful if you could fix/update it.

I have been using this one for ages (in the Android Development and Hacking forum).

Tested on SG Note N7000 with RR v3 JB 4.1.2. XXLS7 works like a charm :laugh:

This doesn't work on Play Store, Google Now, YouTube, Google Maps and Google Search, right, the Swipe gesture?

Nice work, but it needs a bit of tuning... Some smilies don't work, when you try to hit them the kb selects another one. Had to replace the apk from other Xperia KB mod and fully working now with all smilies working.
Other than that it has a small glitch: when you try to enter a password, if you hit the caps button you have to hit again twice to return to normal...

I got very low signal in normal area but In my Room (3rd floor) I get medium signal and few Station works and I can Listen them without any problem. BTW, I found a way to get 100% signal in any Area or places.
Here is a tips to Work in any Area and places.
Just insert any melat or Wire (1"-2" inch is more than Enough) in headset hole and you will get 100% Signal in Any Area. :victory:

Good mod, but phone uses headset to get radio signal, then without headset the signal is lower.

I just copied this into /system/apps on my ION and it works. I get very poor reception, as expected for a receiver with no antenna.
But does work on Ion, however I just copied&pasted so I cannot say about the zip flashing.

A new Sony Xperia home launcher has leaked. It updates the stock home launcher from version 4.0.3.A.0.9 (at least on our Xperia S) to version 5.1.S.0.0. Changes include a new graphic for the dock at the bottom of the handset, as well as for the app drawer. It also moves the tray options to the left and includes a search bar to the right. We also now get the option to have a maximum of seven home screens, instead of five.
There is also a new way to install widgets, apps, wallpapers and themes. This comes up when you long press an empty space on the home screen. When you click to install a new theme, wallpaper etc you will see the options for these at the bottom of the handset. Another subtle change we noticed is a new screen transition when moving from one home screen to the next.

Since it is replacing a system app, i wouldn't know how to. Maybe someone can think of an easy workaround, let's wait and see!

It works on non rooted devices, I am using it just now on my XS, just install as normal .apk

Sony SmartWatch 2 - Weather app won't update automatically

Hi guys!
I'm facing a really annoying problem. After the last update from Sony Weather, the little app is stuck, and won't update anymore...
Is anyone else facing the problem? A possible sollution?

Yep it was discussed already in another thread and there is no solution unless Sony updates...

In fact there is a solution. Installing the ap smartweather for smartwatch, which is much better than the official one.
You can find it in Google play, although it's a paid app but it deserve the price.

Of course they should fix this bug, but I hope they make the ap even better, because I demanded a long time ago to have manual update by long tap on the watch and it never came true. However I have this wanted feature in the ap I suggested before. You can try it in the meanwhile, maybe you'll like it [emoji4]

I looked for the app in APTOIDE store, and downgraded it to the earlier version. Now it's working perfectly.

That would be nice... The previous version worked just fine.

Sony's silence is a shame... I sent them an email and put a 1-star comment on the app, no reply, not even an acknowledgement.
If they don't know how to fix it, they could at least have reverted back to previous version.
As a retaliation, I just rated all of Sony's SW2 related app 1 star on the Play Store, and I invite all angry customers like me to do the same.

Can someone guide me to a "clean" 1.0.15 version as all files I find ask for strange authorizations (SMS, Calling, etc.).
When I download the Aptoide version I get a 7+ MB file for an app that shouldn't weight more than some 320~ kb. I didn't install any of these as I don't trust them.
Your help would be appreciated... :highfive:

Tested on my Z1C working well , it give nice quality picture in 20mp and 15mp , picture looks sharper then usual , when zooming image ... will test in different environnement ...
For those how want to mute camera beep go to \res\raw\ and delete :

And perhaps others
Changing storage location cannot be change in app but probably can be fix with modding some xml in res/drawable or res/xml .. will try to decompile later

I wouldn't bother downloading and sideloading it onto my device...

Working on Sony Xperia M too

Why does this app needs so many permissions? Very strange and not safe at all.

Works fine on Xperia Z Ultra C6833 with KK 4.4.4! Have better quality and nice focus...thanks men!
