I use CWM touch on my S3 with no issues whatsoever. I believe the latest version is 6.0.2.3

I've been in this game since before the Nexus S came out... and I fail to see the appeal of TWRP over ClockworkMod. What am I missing that everyone seems to love it?

I used Rom Manager to flash mine...on an AT&T SGS3. No issues here. Make sure you select model d2att.

Yes i did. It is free to download from the cwm website (manual install)or a paid app on market which can be installed via rom manager.
Personally i did not like it very much. it is the same old recovery (cyan blue color), just with 1 point bigger font and extra (double) line spacing for those with fat fingers.
Also with the original recovery you had larger text space to read the logs, which is now gone thanks to the line spacing. and there is no scrolling back to go up and read the logs.
i am planning to stick to the old recovery (original green one). Its a very personal choice though
HTC Desire User.
Does anybody have a link for our phones? I can't find the touch recovery for our phone.

Not available for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 or the Droid 3 yet. I guess I don't need it for the Droid 3. I want to get the Droid 4 as soon as it comes out. Waiting.

Well koush said gs3 recoveries are up, he didn't specify carrier so I take that to mean them all. Rom manager will verify support when you click flash.
cant wait to download this. Thank you

Thats odd, the V4 from team epic supports external sd.
Is the official cwm fix the date nandroid issue? All my nandroids are dated in the 1970s lol
Now supports verizon

I'm with Bell and I only have not-related devices when I want to flash recovery from ROM Manager, no S3 of any sort. Anybody else with this problem?
For anyone out there that is using Telus's version of the phone. I have successfully rooted my unit with CF in and also successfully installed TWRP and made a nandroid. I also listed the stock baseband and model number on my phone. I have already read and seen about 3-5 people that have tried flashing custom roms on there Telus note 2 from the international forum. Do not do that, there is currently as of Nov 11 2012 no custom roms that can be flashed for your Note 2. There is one Kernel
SGH-1317M
4.1.1
BASEBAND I317MVLALJ2
Thanks for the info. I will be receiving mine on Monday.
Actually you can flash the rom of n7105, which is the international lte version. So you can now have the multi-windows feature.

Awesome... I've had my Telus model for a full 7 days and its a beauty... I rooted before Chainfire got his auto root deal going so look him up and that'll be the way to go... his Triange Away app is also updated to our device to get rid of that naggy flash counter... 8)
I uploaded a stock, rooted nand to developer ptmr3 so I'm thinking something sweet might come our way. .. multi-view would be sweet!
Cheers all...

AT&T Galaxy Note 2. I recommend following the video below.
http://galaxynote2root.com/galaxy-note-2-root/how-to-root-galaxy-note-2-easiest-method/
Pause the video when u too.
After you flash it, Boot up your phone, go to the Play Store and dl GooManager.
Install GooManager, open up GooManager.
Hit the Menu key and choose 'Install OpenRecoveryScript' and 'Yes', it'll install twrp.
Boot your phone into recovery and install your choice of rom from the 'AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 2' forum.
I recommend the JellyThunder Blackout RC3.0 Rom.

Search before posting. Someone just asked this yesterday and 3 days ago. But to answer the question, you cannot update with a custom recovery installed. You can find the update in the development section and flash it.

One of the big things when installing a kernel for the Samsung Galaxy S III is that the kernel being installed had to be built on the same day or earlier as the rom installed or the phone wouldn't boot. Is it the same for this device?
