Hello all.
Was just listening to some music on my desire when Astro Player crashed. Couldn't get it to restart so restarted my phone instead. Now its telling me my SD card is damaged and I may need to reformat.
Anything I can do or am I buggered?
It wasn't the original 4gb card, I was using an older 8gb card. I've been using it awhile though without any problems so I doubt that was it?
Do you need the data on it? If not then just reformat it... thereĀ“s nothing horrible about this ;-)
I do have some stuff on there I needed. And Isn't a lot of app data stored on the SD card? Just a bit of hassle really isn't it?
Try hooking up the SD card with a card reader directly in your PC, it might be able to open/read the files without a problem. If that's the case, copy everything (just select all>copy) off the card, format it and move the stuff back.
8GB damage & repair
I also have troubles with 8GB card.
Unsure whats wrong but time to time i still get SD Card is corrupted message.
Only U can do is new format or try to read by card reader on your PC.

My mobile, for hours didnt recognized my memory card, and i didnt know why that happenned.. I read that the only solution was to buy another SD..
But After reading a lot of forums, and tried a lot of things, I found another solution.
I put my memory card into a memory card reader and connected it to my pc. Even my pc didnt recognize my memory card.. it had an error. so I couldnt even do a back up.. So I clicked right click on My Computer, then manage> Disk management> right click on my card, And then format. I didnt wanted to loose my data so I downloaded "Recuva" and I choosed what things I wanted to recover (after the successful format FAT32, which also made my SD card visible)
And so my sd card was visible again and I recovered whatever I wanted.
Hope I helped... But please do this at your own risk!
Sorry for bad english
You can use data recovery software to scan memory card and then recover your files. First connect memory card to computer with a card reader, and then follow this guide: sd card data recovery
hope this helps.
my desire stop recognizing sd card wtf

p.s my clockwordmod recognize it
Try a different newly formatted SD Card?
If your partitions are corrupted, you might get that message.
i mounted and formated my sd card via clockworkmod and still nothing i've tryed 2 more sd cards and still my phone dont read them

Although this is strange you can mount the sd card and format it so the above link may not help.
Bump anybody?
Hopefully someone can help. my EVO rebooted this morning and when it came back, it can not find any of the programs that were moved to the SD card. they are all there as I can read ALL the files if I take the SD card and put it into my PC. I just copied the files off, reformatted the SD card and put everything back. HOWEVER, it still doesnt see the apps on the SD card. how can I fix this?
Thanks ...
