It's the tool from this post. If I'm not getting this error, it'll be "Windows Explorer not working" error, there by crashing the tool itself. May be I try another system.

Hi,
I'm having the exact same issue. I tried it with win8pro and xpPro(both x86) and got the same behaviour at every try:
After the update starts it took some havy load on CPU and HDD transfer for a few seconds while a cab file appears in the working directory. After that the CPU/HDD load reduces to 0 and the cab file disappears again. About half a minute later the "application not responding" error pops out.
I'm pretty frustrated right now. Can anyony help?

Make sure you followed step 4. Its very important. Set the uptestex and windowsenabler properties to "windows xp compatibility" and "run as administrator". Install lg drivers and msxml parser. I think reboot would be nice.
I didnt get any errors trying this guide on windows xp home, 7, and windows 8 pro (all 32bit). Try disabling your antivirus for a while.

I don't see why all this faffing about with proxy grabbers and URL guessing in necessary to get the correct firmware file for your LG phone, there is an easier way...
1. Go to the LG website and find your phone, download the USB drivers and mobile support tool.
2. Install the USB drivers, remove the battery from your phone and note the model number, serial number and IMEI number then replace the battery.
3. Turn on your phone and plug in your USB to the computer and phone and wait for the drivers to install.
4. Click your 'start menu' and select 'Computer', click the 'Tools' menu at the top left of the screen and select 'Folder Options' and then the 'View' tab, put the radio dot in the 'Show hidden files, folders or drives', also remove the check-mark from 'Hide extensions for known file types' and click 'Apply' then 'OK'.
5. Run the mobile support tool 'exe or setup' file, select the emergency firmware recovery thingy and enter your phones I.D from earlier
When the mobile support tool finds your firmware download, click to download it.
6. Immediatly navigate to 'C:\ProgramData\LGMOBILEAX\Phone\' where you will find your firmware file in the process of downloading (mine was called 'V10A_00.kdz').
7. Keep an eye on the mobile support tool to see when the download is going to complete, before it does right click on the white background of the 'C:\ProgramData\LGMOBILEAX\Phone\' folder and select 'Refresh' to update the firmware files downloaded file size - ideally do this several times during the download process to allow Windows to calculate the file size faster at the end and produce a useable '.KDZ' firmware file before the mobile support tool get's too far into the process of extracting it.
8. Once the mobile support tool changes from the downloading screen to the flashing part grab your firmware file and drag it to the desktop or any other location to copy it, you only have a small amount of time to do this before the mobile support tool extracts the files and deletes the '.KDZ' file so don't worry about scratching your arse just yet!
Just a note, I also copied the extracted '.CAB' file and 'DIAGCommand.xml' files for no real reason!
9. Once Windows has copied it and the 'File Copy' box closes YANK THE USB LEAD OUT OF YOUR PHONE!
If for any reason your computer takes longer than 10 seconds after the download finishes to copy the file then pull your USB lead if you don't want the phone updated and go buy yourself a decent computer!
If you wait any longer than 10 seconds after the download completes you may well brick your phone which I'd like to add I accept NO responsibility for, not even if you follow my method to the letter and still end up bricking your phone I promise you I won't lose a moments sleep over it!
What I can tell you is that the 10 seconds time frame I give is an over safe time frame. In reality your phone will not start to flash any data until it reboots so I suggest having the volume turned up to listen for the USB disconnect / reconnect sound. At the very latest remove the USB cable after the disconnect sound but if you hear the reconnect and the cable is still attached you have 2 choices, 1: Do nothing and have an updated mobile phone or 2: Pull out the USB cable and have no phone. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Hope this helps you. Please 'Thank Me' if it does.

First off im sorry for quoting op. Im try said method to get a kdz thats not released. As soon as im using old mobile support tool btw. But as soon as dl hits 100 tool attempts to extract it and imeaditly deletes its no 10 seconds. Literally like 1/2 second the goes to error. Long story short. I got a old lg vista frp locked and no available method to bypass i was gonna attempt to update it to a newer firmware to see if ne of the methods work there. The phone was released with kk and not really a antirollback protection. But theres a speci proced to downgrade and i figured if i could get back kk no frp
the method seems to work, so thank you for this solution, i tried a few times until I made it happen, the thing with this is that you can only get recent updates, and in my case I'm looking for an older version of the firmware. hope your post will be usefull to other. thank you.

ANDROID ON INTEL ARCHITECTURE
AboutProject summary
Android on Intel® Architecture (Android-IA) is an open source project based on the*Android Open Source Project*(AOSP). Intel is a contributor to the AOSP and provides code for enabling Android on Intel Architecture platforms. (read more: About A-IA )
this is a thread for installing, exploring, discussing dual boot Win 8-8.1 and Android for XE700T1C, and I have XE700T1C-A01AE which is one of many variants of XE700T1C, in the official site of A-IA only XE700T ( for installation see These instructions )is supported which is a whole different model, the XE700T1C comes with a keyboard dock that transfer it to laptop style, so the installation will be much easier because we don't need USB hub and USB keuboard.
I tried this on my own risk on both Windows 8 and 8.1 preview. so by doing so you accept any risk from this procedure ... be patient and read carefully before you start
Update: XE700T1C-A01US confirmed working ... Thanks to p0k3y...

Before you Start ...
It is highly recommended that you download and install the latest BIOS firmware from Samsung while you still have windows on the device. The installer requires windows to run, and recent versions provide significant improvements.
Full Back up your PC using the Samsung recovery ( if it is pre installed ) or any back up program. And you should create recovery USB drive
HOW TO MAKE RECOVERY USB DRIVE: ------>>> Microsoft Windows 8 Support
What you need ...
1- USB thumb drive 1 Gb at least.
2- Download the latest build for Samsung XE700T installer from A-IA site ( https://01.org/android-ia/downloads )
3- Download "Image Writer for Windows" from https://launchpad.net/win32-image-writer/
4- A space on your PC for Android (more details in the installation)
Preparing the USB thumb drive
1- Back up the content in the USB drive because it will be erased ...
2- Extract Samsung XE700T installer
3- Extract windows image writer tool and run Win32DiskImager.exe
4- Browse for the image you extracted from the Samsung XE700T installer
5- Select your USB drive letter and hit "Write"
6- Done
Installing .....
1- Restart your PC with the USB drive inserted and as soon as it start press "F2" or you can follow the other way which is:
A- swipe from right and enter settings from the charm bar and choose "change PC settings
B- go to general and scroll down to advance start up and press restart now
C- after restart choose "Troubleshoot"
D- then "Advance options"
E- then "UEFI firmware"
F- then "Settings"
2- After going into settings ... go to " Boot " and set " Secure boot to OFF "
3- Then from the first option select Boot device priority and put your USB in the first place.
4- Choose "Save"
5- After restart the installer begin you will get five options. select run interactive installer
6- It will ask you " do you want to reserve windows and dual boot " Type: Y
7- Then " Do you want to resize windows to make more space " Type: Y
8- You will be asked " Enter the size in Mib for Windows " and the installer calculate the minimum and maximum size and it recommends the maximum size ... if you choose that value you will get about 350 MiB internal memory for android and it is too small if you want to install large apps. so the trick is to subtract the amount you need from the maximum value for ex: if you have 116000 Mib maximum then if you type 110000 you will have a 6000 MiB for the internal memory for Android.
9- After that you will be asked " Install GummiBoot bootloader " Type: Y
10- Then set the boot menu timeout ...
11- After the installation is completed remove your USB drive and press any key to restart.
12- Done.

1- When the PC start you got options, use down key or volume down to navigate. up key or volume up key to select.
2- After the first boot of windows you may be asked to do disc check...
Things you may need in Android:
Google services framework and Google Play store. Download and extract (Zip in the attachment)
And this how to install it
After connecting to Wi-Fi, open the browser and download a file manager with root capability for ex: search for ES File manager, download, install, open the file manager and then root explorer then Mount R/W and set all the options to RW.
copy Google services and play store to: system/app ... then change their permission to rw- r-- r--
image
Exit the file manager and pull the quick setting toggles area from the upper right corner and select power off " this is how to turn off Android "
Turn on the PC again and enter android and open play store and enter your user name and password .... because adding account from setting will not work and force close it...
In play store there are many apps that set to be not compatible but it may work and if I remember for example angry birds space free is working fine after I transfer and install it. so you can try...
Another thing you must try ... Is the Xposed framework by @rovo89 thanks to him for x86 support...

How many times does it have to be said, it wont work.
AndroidIA is custom tailored for intel core series processors not atom. Clovertrail as in the xe500t is also hardware locked to windows 8 (no idea why).

Sharing files
I just wanted to know if android is installed will it be able to access files such as documents pdf pics etc from windows 8
if not how can we make this work
That would require NTFS drivers installed in Android; I know how to do it in "normal" Linux but have never attempted with Android.
I use the micro SD card slot as a shared storage... So everything there can be accessed from both operating systems...

How can i uninstall this and return back to just windows
This looks very cool and I want to try it on my XE700T. But don't want to screw it up and brick the thing. Has anyone else tried it successfully? Also, will this affect the ability to apply Samsung updates or Windows upgrades later?

Its a regular x86 machine, you can't just brick them. You can seriously bugger up windows, but get a fresh windows install USB (can buy them I think, or you can make one from an install DVD) and you can reinstall windows from scratch, but it will cost you. Or you could be logical and make a recovery USB for your system first which would then allow you to restore anyway, if you own a windows 8 system you should make a recovery USB anyway.
Having android wont effect your windows partition at all. Presuming you dont just go over-writing your windows partition, which would be a dumb idea, and is also why you dont try this guide unless you know what your doing.

Thanks. I just made a recovery USB. Am going to try out the recovery feature and make sure I know what to do before taking the plunge. So I take it you got this installed? Do you like it? Other than the bugs listed on OP, are there any other issues? Does it perform well? I hope so with the all-powerful Core i5...

@p0k3y ... if you have XE700T ... not the XE700T1C then follow these instructions from A-IA site:
Android on Intel ArchitectureSamsung XE700T
The Samsung XE700T Slate is a PC-compatible SandyBridge platform with touch-screen, USB host port, world facing camera, and Wi-Fi. The device also includes orientation and acceleration sensors, but they are non-functional in Android-IA due to the fact that they communicate using a proprietary protocol.
BIOS Update
It is highly recommended that you download and install the latest BIOS firmware from Samsung while you still have windows on the device. The installer requires windows to run, and recent versions provide significant improvements.
Setting the device to boot from USB thumb drive:
1.Grab an USB keyboard and plug it into a device USB port
2.Power on the device
3.After the power led is on, press the Home button and keep it pressed until the BIOS screen appears
4.Go to Boot menu using right/left arrow keys
5.Select Boot Device Priority using the Enter key
6.Go to USB KEY and press F6 until it becomes the top-most list item
7.Exit the Boot menu using the ESC key
8.Go to the Exit menu and select Save Changes and Reset using Enter
9.Power off the device and then power it on again
10.After the power led is on, press the Home button and keep it pressed until the BIOS screen appears (we need to enter the BIOS again to check the Legacy USB Support, sometimes it is disabled, after the first change in the BIOS)
11.Go to the Advanced menu using the right/left arrows
12.If the UEFI Boot Support is Disabled, change it to Enabled
13.Exit BIOS with Save Changes and Reset, as described above
14.Power off the device
15.Unplug the USB keyboard
Samsung XE700T Machine Check Error
Several users ran into a situation (when experimenting with a different kernel) that the machine would just get a "Machine Check Error" when trying to boot, either with or without the USB stick. This occurred after booting from the USB stick both with and without install-to-disk. Recovery procedure:
1.Power-on the machine while holding down the upper volume button on the left-hand side. This goes into the the Windows Boot Manager as in the "Gotcha" section above.
2.Let it go ahead and attempt to boot. This fails, however the failure mode is different because it is now trying to boot off of hard-disk, and gets a "Boot error" in the upper-left corner of the screen, instead of "machine check error".
3.Reset the system and power-on while holding the "windows" button at middle-bottom. This enters BIOS setup screen.
4.Re-enable "legacy USB", if needed.
5.Change boot-order to boot from the USB-stick first, hard-disk second.
6.Reboot from the USB stick.
7.Re-install a working OS to hard-disk.
Samsung XE700T touchscreen anomalies
Occasional users find that the touchscreen is not working with a Samsung device. This can be caused by some unknown compatibility issues with some USB hubs. If you run into this, a workaround is to unplug all USB device including the hub and just plug in the keyboard directly. Similar issues have been seen with oddball USB network adapters.
Samsung XE700T Restore Procedure
As mentioned in the Quick Start, it is important to back up any user data on the device before erasing it and over-writing it with Android. In addition, it is important to retain the original OS installation media, in case you want to restore the originally installed OS. These are referenced in the following restoration procedure.
To restore the Samsung XE700T to its factory default state you will need the following items:
•USB hub with at least three ports available
•USB keyboard
•USB mouse
•Samsung System Recovery Media (shipped with your slate PC)
•Samsung System Software Media (shipped with your slate PC)
•If restoring directly from a DVD ◦USB DVD-ROM Optical Drive (if restoring directly from DVD)
•If restoring from USB thumb drive ◦DVD-ROM Optical Drive on a separate PC (instructions provided for Windows and Ubuntu)
◦USB thumb drive -- 8GB or larger
System Recovery Media Prep -- USB thumb drive (Ubuntu Linux)
1.Install gettext (sudo apt-get install gettext).
2.Install gparted (sudo apt-get install gparted), it's a GUI tool that we'll use to format the thumb drive.
3.Download the latest stable version of ms-sys from http://ms-sys.sourceforge.net/#Download
4.Unpack the ms-sys***.tar.gz, cd to it in the terminal, then execute the following commands:
5.make
6.sudo make install
7.Launch gparted, select your thumb drive in the upper right corner.
8.Delete all partitions on the thumb drive, if any are present.
9.Go to Device -> Create Partition Table , in the dialog that appears click "Advanced" and select ms-dos partition table.
10.Go to Partition -> New and select NTFS, select all available drive space.
11.After the formatting is over, go to Partition -> Manage flags and check the "boot" flag.
12.Copy all files and folders from the Samsung recovery DVD to the thumb drive.
13.Open your terminal and create Win 7 MBR by executing the following command(replace /dev/sdX with your thumb drive's path):
14.ms-sys -7 /dev/sdX
System Recovery Media Prep -- USB thumb drive (Windows)
Note: These steps are not necessary if you plan to use a USB optical drive and the System Recovery Media DVD for the restore.
1.If necessary, download and install a program that will rip DVD discs to an ISO file. We use LC ISOCreator, which can be found at http://lc-iso-creator.en.softonic.com/.
2.If necessary, download and install a program that will burn ISO images to the thumb drive. We use the tool at http://www.isotousb.com/.
3.Format your thumb drive with a FAT32 file system.
4.Rip the Samsung Recovery Media DVD into an ISO file with ISOCreator.
5.Burn the Samsung Recovery Media ISO onto the thumb drive with isotousb.
Restore Steps
1.Power down the XE700T.
2.Connect the USB hub to the USB port on the XE700T.
3.Connect the keyboard, mouse, and recovery media (using either an optical drive or a USB thumb drive) to the USB hub.
4.Insert the System Recovery Media DVD into the optical drive if using the optical drive.
5.Hold down the center button (Windows key) and power on the device. Continue holding the Windows button until the BIOS setup screen appears.
6.Hold down the rotate button (right edge of tablet below the power button) until the Advanced section of the BIOS UI is highlighted.
7.Select 'Legacy USB Support' and make sure it is set to 'Enabled.'
8.Hold down the rotate button and use the volume up or volume down buttons until the Boot section of the BIOS UI is highlighted.
9.Select 'Boot Device Priority', making changes so that the recovery media (DVD drive or thumb drive) is the primary boot device.
10.Make sure that the UEFI Boot option in the BIOS is also set to 'Enabled.'
11.Press the Windows key once, and then hold down the rotate button and use the volume up or volume down buttons, until the Exit section of the BIOS UI is highlighted and then select 'Save Changes and Reset.' The XE700T should now boot off of the recovery media and the Windows installer should start.
12.Select your language and go through the setup process, until it asks you for the type of install. Select 'Custom' and then delete all existing partitions.
13.Select the available disk space after deleting all of the partitions as the install location for Windows.
14.At this point, the Windows installation should proceed.
15.(Optional) Install the Samsung System Software packages from DVD-ROM or USB key by connecting your media and running SecSWMgrGuide.exe from the media and following the prompts.
Samsung XE700T Gotcha!
Take care, when powering-up the unit, that you don't accidentally press the Volume-Up button (for example, if grip the tablet with your left hand) at the same time as you press the Power button, or the unit will go into "Samsung Recovery Mode" (that is, to the Windows Boot Manager, which is looking for the Windows installation disc). After that, the unit will never boot Android, instead displaying the words "Boot error" in the upper-left corner of the screen. (You will need to install Android again.)
This problem will probably not be observed in images downloaded and built since 5/24/2012, when a patch fixing this issue was integrated.

as I mentioned in the OP the XE700T is officially supported ... link to the site https://01.org/android-ia/documentation/samsung-xe700t
@bdroid ... use a recovery USB to roll back to windows only...
if you accidently lost recovery ... here is the link for XE700T1C-A01US reocovery image zip ... just unzip it to USB then boot using it and follow the onscreen instructions...
BTW this Recovery zip is not mine ... but I tried it and it is 100% working ...

I dont own a windows tablet no.
From what I have heard though, core i5 systems benchmark damn well for android but have 2 notable issues.
Firstly they don't use full hardware acceleration, I dont know if thats a thing being worked on or what, but for now the sheer CPU power just hammers its way through that.
Secondly its an x86 processor. Android apps use what is called a virtual machine (its called dalvik, alot of people claim its java, but its not) which allows them to run on any hardware. However some apps use what is known as the android NDK, or native code running outside of the virtual machine. Reasons for this are code re-use (android ports of some iOS apps take this approach) or performance. The android NDK is platform specific, with the default settings if you create an app using the NDK, it will throw the little dalvik bit in needed to start the app and then it will compile the native parts for ARMv7 (most android devices). Changing the settings allows for x86, ARMv6 and MIPS but not everyone changes that, especially as it leads to its own problems in either distributing separate x86 and ARMv7 apps (possible) or it will let you throw both x86 and ARM versions in one app but this leads to an app double the size it needs to be. So nice and simple, many developers ignore it entirely and leave it at ARM only.
So you may come across certain apps which don't function on your device. The x86 devices sold to consumers such as the galaxy tab 3, do include an ARM emulator to help avoid some of the above issues, sadly android-ia and androidx86 dont do that.
Have fun. And yeah, test that you can get into your recovery first, always a good idea.

It is not hard to recover your PC...

I was running windows 8 then installed 8.1 preview to try it then installed android... Everything was OK... Then I was trying to play unlucky game with the partitions and corrupt them... But I used the recovery USB ... Back to windows 8 then installed android again...

Thank you @rwilco12 for hosting the download
1. Download the above Zip and extract it to a folder on your Desktop called "LG G2 Stock" (or whatever you prefer to name it).
2. Install LGUnitedMobileDriver from "LG G2 Stock" Folder
3. Install Setup_LGFlashTool from "LG G2 Stock" Folder (You will get a log in error if you try to open it)
4. Extract MegaLock.zip from the "LG G2 Stock" Folder to C:\LG\LGFlashTool and overwrite existing MegaLock.dll file. This gets around the Log in Error you got before when you tried to open it.
6. Put phone in Download mode by holding Volume up for a couple seconds and then plugging the phone in via USB.
7. Go to Windows Start Menu and under "search programs and files" type "device manager" and open it up.
8. Go to Ports (COM & LPT). You should see LGE AndroidNet etc... Right click it and go to Properties > Port Settings > Advanced > Change COM Port Number to COM41 > OK > OK > Close Device Manager
9. You should have a LGFlashTool shortcut on your desktop. Double Click it to open it up.
10. In the Model Config that opens up Select Manual Mode in top left.
11. For DLL browse to "LG G2 Stock" folder and select LGLS980_20130904_LGFLASHv151.dll file
12. For S/W browse to "LG G2 Stock" Folder and select LS980ZV7_01.tot file
13. Hit OK and then click the Yellow Arrow in top left of LG Flash Tool. Wait for it to say "READY!!"
14. Unplug your phone and power it off (it may reboot before you can power it off).
15. Go back into download mode and the stock ROM will start flashing on it's own. It should take no more than 10 minutes. It may stop around 80% but your phone will say 100% and reboot and Presto! Back to stock or unbricked! (Whichever you were trying to do)

Only the things can work thru SIDELOAD only.

as i have changed the build.prop's setting
ro.build.target_operators= SPR
to
ro.build.target_operators= OPEN
and restarted it and then ..the ENd.
phone not starting...
tried to use LG Flash TOOL the .dll and .tot downloaded of Sprint
but the error comes for dll as i have changed build.prop to OPEN
so that LG FLASH TOOL is also not working..
figured out the solution but the way for these solution is still far...
just need the WAY for the solution..
Solution : Need to Replace the build.prop(OPEN) which is edited ONE ----> to-----> Original build.prop(SPR) [so that can use your said procedure]
if can't replace then should be able to edit the OPEN to SPR again
Only the things can work thru SIDELOAD only.
Also need a way to flash the Recovery in LG G2 SPRINT (so as to push or edit the build.prop) that to via SIDELOAD
The WAY : ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
?? ? ? ?? ? ?

I'm not sure why you would try that when the original post has the exact same steps explained much more clearly. I woUld refer to OP and maybe try again following STEP BY STEP
As your device is recognized by the flash tool as an LS980 it should work. If you need clarification on how to do a particular step or few then I am glad to assist.
Please Assist..
It would be a great pleasure...
In this guide, I will show how to how to change from LVM to Chinese unification storage method. Windows OS Only.
This guide is specifically for Oppo Find 7(A/S).
The idea of changing to chinese unification storage method is to have access to 8.1 Android operating system and future Android OS builds.
Please follow these following steps in order be able to run 8.1 Android on your OPPO Find 7.
1) Back up only your internal storage because after you flash the following tools, the internal storage will be wiped completely.
2) Download this file (for OPPO Find 7s) and this file (for OPPO Find 7a) then run the following steps:
Extract the files, and locate the QcomMtk_Driver_Setup.exe (*install this driver*) and reboot your computer system.
After rebooting, take off the battery off the Oppo find 7 and press the volume up button and connect to the PC using a micro USB cable. Go to the device manager, open the ports tab and there should be something like qualcomm etc. If there is no warning sign then you are fine and you should proceed along the steps. If there is a warning sign, just right click on the driver and update by letting windows finding the appropriate drivers.

Then go back to the folder where you extract the zip file and locate (X9077_Android5.0_32G_20150520.exe) or X9007 respectively and run as administrator. rights only.
Agree with the licence. As shown in the image.
Now, again, make sure your battery is removed, hold volume up button and connect to the pc.
Click the first top left button as indicated in the image below.
Now, the software should do the rest so please be patient and wait until the green line has finished and the timeclock down on the bottom right as come to a halt.
After the green line has finished, please remove your device and plug back your battery. Let the device fully boot up before moving on the following steps.
After you get to the setup screen. Press and hold the power off button and shutdown fully before going back to the fast boot mode by pressing volume up and power button at the same time, the battery needs to be installed this time.
-
Now, flash the twrp modded image using fast boot flash and download the two files fastboot and twrp-modded img :
1) Have your phone in bootloader mode. (Turn off your phone, press volume up button and power button together and connect usb).
2) Navigate to the folder and click on the top left of the folder and copy that. e.g C:\Users\samgi\Desktop\platform-tools
3) Open cmd and type in: cd C:\Users\samgi\Desktop\platform-tools
4) In cmd type in: fastboot flash recovery image-modded.img
4) Remove USB and press power button and volume down button simultaneously.
-After you have flashed the recovery, boot into recovery and store the ROM, GAPPS and cm13 unified patch in the external sd card using your USB.
Download your favourite 9.0 ROM:
crDroid for example: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=262369
Install GAPPS (only pico):
http://opengapps.org/
After you have downloaded all the files rom gapps cm13 patch etc. Make sure to flash each of the zip files one by one:
1) Flash ROM
2)Flash Pico Gapps
3)Flash CM13 Patch here
So basically, just head over to https://download.lineageos.org/find7 and download the latest Lineage OS 16 ROM. Then download the MindTheGapps (since pico OpenGapps can't work) from https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=170282 make sure to get 9.0.0arm.
Reboot to recovery, wipe the dalvik, system and cache. Then proceed with installing the the LOS 16 ROM. After that, you can flash the CM 13 patch and the gapps (MindTheGapps). It's ok to do gapps first before the CM 13 patch. I noticed that it makes no difference. Works the same every time.
Well, that's about it, reboot and enjoy. OTA should work after this. I think.
Good luck.
Then, simply clear cache and boot to your 9.0 OS. P.S don't forget to restore your data that you deleted in step one.
Optional: If you want to go back to Color OS or you have hard-bricked your OPPO Find 7(A/S) this tool will help you get back to stock firmware.
STOCK FIRMWARE (LVM)
Here are the instructions to unbrick your phone:
This is going to be a step by step guide on how to unbrick your OPPO FIND 7 (A/S)
Before attempting this guide, Windows is needed to be in "Test Mode".
To do this:
1) Open CMD with admin rights, and type "bcdedit /set testsigning on" without the colons.
2) Restart your computer.
End result:
This will check if this guide is applicable.
Note: Make sure your device has at least 70% battery. Charge it for an hour or so if you are not sure about the amount of battery left.
Note 2: I'll assume you are an admin of the computer you are using.
1) Disconnect your device from your charger/computer, etc.
2) Take out the battery and wait for 5 seconds.
3) Put the battery back in, hold the Power+Volume Up buttons and plug it into the computer.
4) Release your hands, and go to Device Manager. (How to go to device manager below)
1. Click the start menu
2. Right click Computer (Right hand side)
3. Click Properties
4. On the left hand side, click on Device Manager
5) Under Ports, you'll see either QHSUSB_BULK or Qualcomm *blah blah blah* 9006/9008
If you don't see any of the three, you're doing it wrong (Probably).
If you're not seeing it, try connecting your device without the battery.
Next, we uninstall the drivers. Simple enough.
WARNING: This part is only for people seeing Qualcomm 9006/9008 in Device Manager.
1) Uninstall the driver. (Right click your device, then click Uninstall. If prompted, delete driver software too)
2) Unplug your device.
3) Take out the battery and wait for 5 seconds.
4) Put the battery back in, hold the Power+Volume Up buttons and plug it into the computer.
5) Release your hands, and go to Device Manager.
You should see QHSUSB_BULK, if not, you might be doing it wrong.
Now we install the proper drivers.
NOTE: You should be seeing QHSUSB_BULK in your Device Manager, if not you're doing it wrong.
1) Download the Find 5 Drivers and unzip the file anywhere.
2) Right click on your device showing QHSUSB_BULK and click on Update Driver Software.
3) Click on "Browse my computer for driver software", and select the folder in which you extracted the drivers to.
4) It will install automagically. If prompted, click on Install the driver anyway.
After installing, your device should say Qualcomm *blah blah blah* 9006/9008.
The moment all of you have been waiting for. Unbrick!
NOTE: Your device should be connected at all times.
1) Download the tool that will save you below.
2) Extract the contents from the zip file.
3) Open the .exe file with admin rights.
4) There should be a line that is visibly different from others.
5) If there is, click start and wait till that line turns green. (It takes a few minutes. Generally nothing should go wrong at this stage.) If there isn't, you're doing it wrong.
6) After the line turns green, unplug your device and hold the power button until you see the Oppo logo.
7) If all goes well, you should be booted to ColourOS v1.2.5i.
If everything went through smoothly, you should be unbricked and ready to brick your device again.

Sorry for the late reply,
Don't worry, I will upload the tool also that I managed to download when oppo forums was running and luckily saved that on my hard drive :') so if you do brick your phone, the software will put you back to default X9076 color OS software mode so you're safe.
1. This guide is for Oppo Find 7s. The 8.1 android OS does not recognise X9076 (LVM) and shows "encryption unsuccessful" whenever you boot into the OS. However, when your phone shows X9077 (Chinese unified method) the 8.1 recognises and lets you boot successfully. I'm not quite sure why OPPO had to make this sooooo confusing. Lol.
2. I am running the latest Windows 10 Anniversary Update.
3. I'm not sure what you're asking ? It does not matter 32-bit or 64 bit
4. I'm literally running CrDroid and its amazing, the latest update just got out online check it out.
Let me know if you need further help.

What's the problem? I think they had a 7.1 forum but I'm not sure if it's closed
If 7.1 i think no connection on this 8.1 version, right? But if u dont mind i wanna ask if u have this issues.
My problem is weird ....
1. Press long at recent button will appear some apps that we have opened.. at the top have lock button, right? I already press that button become lock. But that make it permanent... in no time will be unlock.
2. Last night when i sleep i leave my phone idle with battery 100%, at morning i woke up and see my phone low batt with 13%. Weird draining battery so fast. Nothing running only some email and chat that i haven' t read. Maybe the notification light?

That,s weird battery usage. When I leave a 100% battery at night, next morning ( about 8 hours) I have about 90+% left, and I leave WiFi and mobile data on all night. Though I use Servicely and Project Skynet Raising.

Best advice would be to reflash the ROM with pico gapps or at last change to another 8.1 ROM i.e lineage rom or omni 8.0
So my Yoga 11 has been laying around for some years now and usage has been getting worse mostly because of the included, no longer supported, Internet Explorer.
But when I found that a working release of Windows 10 ARM32 for the Surface RT was around, I decided to go rogue and install it on my Yoga 11.
I adapted the tutorial by @kephax and @Zaveraj to the needs of the Yoga and added own experiences https://forum.xda-developers.com/windows-8-rt/rt-general/tutorial-install-windows-10-arm32-t4052035 https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=82022643&postcount=41
Feedback and suggestions are always welcome
**WORKING** Windows 10 arm32 on Lenovo Yoga 11
As usual, disclaimer: For dead devices, the author is not responsible. Perform all actions at your own peril and risk. At the moment, the topic with flashing is young and everything is done manually. Perhaps later the process will be partially or fully automated. In the meantime ...
Let's go !!!

Documents and instructions
1. Firmware is a potentially dangerous process and requires some accuracy. Always have a recovery disc on hand created from the official kit from Microsoft!
2. In order to facilitate the installation process, in addition to the USB flash drive, you will need a USB keyboard and an USB bluetooth/wifi adapter.
3. Windows 10 on ARM is basically functional. The drivers for Surface 1 work fine, the Bluetooth driver for Surface 2 has some problems. The store mainly supports the installation of ARM applications. Office 2013 is fully operational and even has a Russian language pack.
4. The image is not meant for the Yoga 11, therefore Keyboard, Sound, Wifi, Bluetooth, camera, Touchscreen? are not working in the installation process. After a 'magic' windows update in the end, they do work.

Create recovery drive using the existing Windows RT 8.1 installation:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17422/windows-8-create-usb-recovery-drive
1. Clear an USB drive (8gb+ advised)
2. Open 'Create a recovery drive' on the Windows RT installation
3. Follow the instructions on the screen
Restore the laptop to version 8.1 according to this instruction :
1. Ensure that the Yoga is completely turned off and connected to the charger. Connect the recovery disk to the USB port.
2. Press and hold the volume up and windows button on the screen. Press and release the power button.
3. Hold volume up and windows button until a black screen with a console like appearance appears, then you may release
4. When prompted, select English and a keyboard layout.
5. Select "Troubleshooting", then select "Recover from a Drive", in my case the last USB device was the correct one, It may take some tries which one you need. If you are prompted for a Bitlocker recovery key, select "Skip this drive" at the bottom of the screen. Next, select “Just remove my files” and the last “Reinstall”. The laptop will go into reboot and recovery of clean 8.1 will begin.
Hacking SecureBoot
1. Turn off UAC. Run the registry file - Disabling_UAC.reg and, after merging, restart the laptop.
2. Unmount the registry hive responsible for the BCD. Using a combination of win + R buttons, open the Run window and enter regedit to open the registry editor. Select HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ BCD00000000, and click "File" - "Unload Hive" ("File" - "Uninstall Hive")
3. Run the SecureBootPatch patch
Open the "securebootpatch" directory. Run as administrator (right click) InstallPolicy.cmd, and then restart the laptop.
After the reboot, the secure boot debug policy interface will appear. Select "accept and install" to install the policy.
4. Turning on the test mode.
Run the command line and enter:
bcdedit /set {default} testsigning on && bcdedit /set {bootmgr} testsigning on
If there are no errors, restart the laptop and enter the recovery mode command line. Check the lower right corner of the screen for the words "secureboot is not configured correctly". If the inscription is present - continue (At the start of the WinPE GUI boot, it will blink and disappear under the background, will appear again at the command prompt).
-- I have to admit that I didn't check the secureboot, but it went well
Deploying win10
1. From the last step, we are in WinPE recovery mode:
Go to the command line: Select "Troubleshooting", then "Advanced Options" - "Command Prompt". A request for a bitlocker recovery key should not appear.
2. Format drive C. Make sure that the commands are entered correctly and enter the next only if there are no errors in the previous one.
Enter
(a) diskpart
(b) list disk
(c) select disk 0
(d) list partition
(e) select partition 4
(f) format quick fs = ntfs override
(f) exit
3. Actually deploying win 10: The win10 deployment file suitable for your device (the surface RT one) should already be at the root of the flash drive. If not, rename it to "install.wim", and copy it to the root!
Enter:
dism /apply-image /imagefile:d:\install.wim /index:1 /ApplyDir:c:\
Where: "d: \ install.wim" is the location of the deployment file from Win 10, and "c:" is the system drive to which you are deploying.
Close the dialog after execution and restart the tablet.
4. When restarting you will get an error popup: Press SHIFT+F10
-- This is the moment the drivers are no longer present and you will need the USB keyboard
5. Type Regedit and go to KEY_Local machine/SYSTEM/Setup/Status/ChildCompletion > setup.exe > Modify the value to "3"
6. Restart
NOTE: I did not connect to wifi until sometime later, there is a firmware update that seems to mess up the ability to install appx files?
-- Dont connect, for the above reason, a connection is however needed later on for the drivers.

2. insert USB Wifi adapter or USB Bluetooth adapter
3. Connect to Wifi or Bluetooth (I used Bluetooth Tethering on my phone)
4. Run Windows Update and hear all the devices get installed.
### How to remove Expired version popup ###
1. Go to C:\Windows\System32
2. Right click on LicensingUI.exe > Properties > Security > Advanced

### How to install uBlock Origin on Edge ###
-- not so sure this works at the moment
1. Download this: https://github.com/nikrolls/uBlock-Edge/releases (I was able to install 1.12.0, but It made my Edge unusable)
2. Edge > about:flags
3. Select: "Enable extensions developer features"
4. Select the "..." > Extensions > Load Extension

### How to install UWP applications - Manually ###
1. Find your application here:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/b/home
2. Copy the URL and copy it here:
https://store.rg-adguard.net/7
3. You will need to find here the .appxbundle ARM and sometimes also the dependencies. Sometimes when you download the file it does not have the extension, so rename the file to .appx in the end.
4. Install first the dependencies then the application on the Surface RT

Did you start with the clean recovered 8.1? And also rebooted after disabling the UAC? Did not connect the new installation to the internet? And run the InstallPolicy.cmd as administrator?
Could you please verify that you executed all these steps, and maybe re-run them?

I first had the same problem. I booted the recovery mode (starting while holding screen-windows-button, vol up and press power), then "Use a device" and tried all the USB devices showing up until I was lucky it rebooted to a different recovery screen. As far as I remember this recovery from the USB drive had less options in the menu. There were indeed no clear options to select like D:/ or USB drive, SD card, SSD partition 1. Would have made it easier. So I would suggest to try all the options in the "Use a device" menu with the recovery USB inserted.
Can you please post a Screenshot or a photo of the Yoga running Windows 10?
Microsoft says that "Use a Device" will only reboot into recovery again... ?

Also I've rechecked the recovery booting of the device:

I used a USB drive with an indication LED so I could see when it was being read (also booting to the recovery took significantly longer)

Quick question, what did you do exactly to get internet access to the yoga 11 while no drivers where installed(when keyboard, wifi drivers etc. don't work)? Because to use a usb wifi adapter you'd need to install it's setup, which doesn't work because it's rt and it doesn't support it. So how did you exactly get internet access? Did your usb bluetooth adapter not need a setup? And also, do you know why usb tethering doesn't work? My only usb wifi adapter doesn't work because of the above reasons, so I tried tethering trough usb with my phone, but it would just show up as an unkown device with RNDIS as the name, and it wouldn't work(still no internet). Could you please help me out?

In my case the USB Bluetooth adapter just worked. I think another wifi adapter should also work. You need a device which works with the generic drivers which are included. I think USB tethering requires some drivers that are not included by default and therefore need windows update/an internet connection.
I suggest you try another USB Bluetooth/wifi adapter and maybe borrow one somewhere. You can also try to force install the generic driver on the wifi adapter you have laying around, it may work.. I have no hopes for USB tethering.
Hi again,
Thanks for your answer last time.
If it's no bother, could I ask which bluetooth/wifi adapter you used?

Hello, I found myself that it is not actually necessary to buy an adapter. The Windows 8.1 recovery USB drive contains a Wi-Fi driver which works under Windows 10. The hardest part is installing it, though it's easiy if you're familiar with installing drivers under Device Manager.
Do as follows:
- Plug your Windows 8.1 USB recovery drive into your Lenovo Yoga 11.
- Take note of the drive letter that the recovery USB appears under (for example D:\)
- Open Device Manager.
- Look under the 'Other devices' tab. Try to find a device with a name suggesting it is a Wi-Fi adapter. I do not have on hand what it is supposed to be called right now. If you get stuck at this stage, let me know and I'll look further.
- Right click the device and click 'Update Driver Software...'
- Click 'Browse my computer locally for driver software'.
- In the search location type the location of your USB drive. For example if your drive is letter D:\ than type in D:\. You must make sure 'Include subfolders' option is ticked.
- Click 'Next' and the driver for Wi-Fi should be installed successfully if you chose the right device. If you choose the wrong one it's fine, just try again with the correct one.
Let me know how it goes...
Добрый день всем. Попал данный ноутбук в руки. Подскажите как его можно использовать для серфинга в интернете и офисной работы? Надо ли его прошивать на windows 10?

so my yoga 11 has been laying around for some years now and usage has been getting worse mostly because of the included, no longer supported, internet explorer.

Bcdedit /set {default} testsigning on && bcdedit /set {bootmgr} testsigning on
if there are no errors, restart the laptop and enter the recovery mode command line.
