Possible to get Titanium backup to backup excahnge account info? - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

I use about 7 different exchange accounts with my phone and it's a real pain to re-create the accounts every time I wipe. From what I can tell there is no option in Titanium backup for excahnge settings.
Is there a way to backup my exchange info so that I don't have to re-enter every time?

Do you have the pro version? If you hit menu, and then "batch" you can individually restore anything you want. Manually restore just your email data (no other system data) after flashing. It might require a reboot afterwards.

Click to collapse
In the past when I've used Touchdown, Titanium Backup was able to back up my settings such that when I restored Touchdown all my settings were in place. Quite sure the backup option was just "backup".

Switching to a new rom - quickest way?

Hello!
I want to get a new Rom on my Desire.
Currently i have leedroid 2.2 (froyo-rom) installed and i want to go for redux (2,3 gingerbread).
Last time I've changed a rom is quit a long time ago,
so I dont really know what is the best method at the moment.
I want to get my current settings as quick as possible, so I need a good Backuptool and a good "plan".
Important:
-sms
-emailaccount settings
-apps WITH appstore connection (updates etc)
-calender
-folderorganizer settings, widgets, and launcherpro settings
-contacts
Is there an "allround"-app, for saving all these settings in an easy way?
Whats the quickest solution for changing a rom?
Thanks for help!
There easiest way for backing up most of your data is to actually use your Google Account. So when creating contacts make sure it's created as a Google contact and the same for your calendar. They will get backed up to your account and will get restored when you sync on a new rom (this has saved me a lot of time). You could try something like Titanium Backup although I don't know what you can backup other than apps. There are SMS backup apps on market.
Yes best way is to use google acct to backup your contacts and calender.
For SMS - there are many apps in market which can backup in yr gmail (but not sure of restore) or can back up on your SD card. You can restore it later.
So generally,
I do nandroid backup(just if something goes wrong),
after that titanium backup (which saves all apps so you need to reinstall and saves your progress in games)
Launcherpro settings can also use back up to SD card (i dont use lancherpro but I do remember having that setting) which can you restore later.
So just download new ROM, wipe everything and flash it and 1st restore titanium backup and later restore your SMS and launcherpro settings.
Use SMS Backup + backs up/restores all SMS/MMS to your Gmail account for free.
You can also use titanium backup. But note that some settings won't work on a different rom especially if switching from 2.2 to 2.3.x.so be Caucasus when restoring.

yes use titanium backup. works good.

I9000 & Titanium Backup

Just a very quick question, as I can't find an answer on forums.
When running a backup with Titanium which is the best approach?
1. Back-up all User Apps and System with Data
2. Back-up just User Apps with Data?
The reason im asking is if System Apps with Data is not selected, i presume that I will not have all text, emails and preferences that I have setup?
Can someone correct me if im wrong
Thanks,
1st option, backup all user apps. I found it's safe to backup & restore wifi access points also (although not between CM and stock ROM), other system data ain't safe. You have SMS backup & restore for SMS's, no idea for E-email (I use Gmail), preferences should be set again manually just to be safe.

Titanium backup - Emails and account

Hi Everyone
I am having an issue with Titanium Backup, and would like to know if anyone have had similar problem and would know how to solve that.
TB would not restore my accounts. I have notably Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync accounts for my mails (as they are the only one apparently allowing push emails). I have made backups and restore after a change of rom, and it didn't work out for my accounts.
I read similar issues on forums, where it was advised to do a complete backup and restore.
I made the following test: I used batch, then Backuo all user apps + system Data. I deleted one of my accounts. Then batch restore (I made restore missing appa + all system data, where I selected restore data only). It did not replace the account I deleted.
Can you advise me doing something differently.
Thanks in advance for your help

Still trying to figure this out myself as well, as well as possibly somehow restoring widgets...
Have you tried (from your description it doesn't look like it) backing up apps and system data separately ? Then just restore the data
Hi guys,
Im currently facing the same issue too.
I manage to restore all apps with data including bookmarks. But it doesnt restore the actual Email accounts such as my Yahoo and gmail.
So everytime I flash a new ROM, I have to manually set them up again.
Hopefully there is a way
works for me
Hi guys, did anyone managed to backup and restore it ?
it seems like titanium backup it as when I do a full restore i find it but just can't identify which packages are involved ..
Quite sure that email alone is not enough ..
I'm having the same issue. It's accounts and sync we are after. It's not an option as far as I can tell.

Hi,
I'm having the same issue.
Just installed Vanilla Root Box 4.2 yesterday on my Galaxy S2 and again I wasn't able to restore correctly my email accounts (both IMAP and EXCHANGE "Corporate").
How I proceeded :
RomNuke
Install Root Box 4.2
Restore Accounts (data)
Restore Email (app + data)
Restore Exchange Services (app + data)
When you explore Accounts TB says it's a DB in /data/system/users/0/accounts.db.
Once I setup my email account, I can see it here.
*A bit sad that Exchange passwords are in plain text here*
So I thought that would be the solution.
But when I restore it, all but email accounts are restored.
Someone has a trick to restore correctly email accounts ?
Thanks
Up.
Unfortunatly never manage to Backup/Restore those email!!
When setting up a new Rom it is very time consumming to have to re-configure them...
If at least it was possible to restore emails + Config, and I will confirme the passwords after that...

[Q] backing up sip account info

When trying different ROMs I use titanium backup to restore applications and WiFi accounts. Works great. But I also have a sip account that I use with the dialer. I configure it on the dialer settings, but I can't figure out which backup stores this account information. I have tried backing up the phone and restoring that but to no avail. Every time I switch ROMs I wind up having to reenter the info manually.
What should I backup and restore to maintain this info?
I'd try restoring com.android.phone

Backup configured email accounts in gmail

I was wondering if it's possible to backup your configured email accounts in gmail. Because I'm always busy reconfiguring all email accounts I have in gmail with a clean install. Have tried Titanium Backup and My Backup Root. Maybe I'm doing something wrong or it's just not possible because of security (password and such). Also haven't been able to find much info about this elsewhere.
Nobody?
Want to backup Gmail emails either on Windows OS. Just try this useful Softaken Gmail Backup Software Windows OS. The tool provides different file formats to save resultant files like pst, msg, eml, mbox etc. The demo version is free for user, you need to just download and install on your system. Backup entire data quickly
