[Q] Noob looking for rom advice - HTC One V

Hi everyone,
I've had my HTC one V for about a month now and I recently got root and installed JMZ's JmzOneV ROM. I've been having a couple issues and I was wondering if you guys could help.
First off, I've been missing a lot of texts. I'm not sure if this is a rom problem but I'm currently exchanging emails with Virgin support so hopefully that will be resolved soon.
Most importantly, everything seems SO SLOW. I mean I thought my old optimus V was bad but this isn't much of an improvement in speed. Is Sense too much the one V and is there a faster rom I should be using? What rom do you recommend for the fastest most stable experience?
Help would be much appreciated in giving this noob some direction.

CM10 all the way. And if you can live with a few bugs here and there evervolv 4.2

We HAVE a Question and Answer thread for these questions.....next time plz post it there
BTW, you should go for CM10( or even Cm10.1)

i think what you meant to say is MyOneV v8....MySense is a whole different thing...
MySense: Full Sense
MyOneV: Sense Light

I run Pacman v19.3 currently as a daily, i love it cause it's a hybrid of AOKP CM10 and paranoid, it runs fairly smooth with the occasional lag but i run RAM manager pro and it mostly solves that problem. I've also ran CM10 and AOKP and those are also very good ROMs. Pacman has been my favorite so far. If you choose to go with pacman look for version 19.3 because they recently released an update which isn't quite stable enough for a daily ROM (assuming your CDMA and not GSM)
Hope this helps

So it looks like I'm going to go with CM10 is there a certain nightly I should go with that is more stable than the rest or should I just go with the latest?

I have the One V CDMA in case I hadn't mentioned before.

Evervolv 4.2 is extremely stable and doesn't have very much lag that's my daily. The status bar freezes rarely but it's nothing major

You can sync FB using Friendcaster app. Official FB is buggy. But I'd still suggest noting down the phone numbers and savinng into google. then later joining the accounts with the respected fb accounts. I use it this way.
Gmail: Never tried but I guess It should work.
Weather?: Are you asking for those sense widgets? You can replace them with others in the market.

Alpha 7 was pretty good for me. great battery life. Im using alpha 8 which was compiled by dudeman from modpunk's git. I would still suggest to go with alpha 7.

Plz provide d link.. (I'm not familiar with forums)
In my experience with CM9 Alpha 7 is fine but the video camera does not work and the battery lasts very little otherwise great
cm9 is great, I have been using it for 3 months, today I switched back to sense 2.1 because sometimes I need camcorder or internet passthrough and sense 2.1 roms are the most stable roms available for wfs....battery life on cm9 and sense roms is imho the same, about 3 hours of screen on time and wifi on

CM10 vs. AOKP Which do you prefer?

Seeing that we now have a jellybean AOKP and an almost stable CM10. Which do you prefer?
Just look at the downloads, most people prefer CM10.
That's because cm10 has been out longer. I personally like both. I'm asking others what they like about each
Sent from my Wildfire S using xda app-developers app
That's it. AOKP appeared in this forums two days ago.
I flashed the ROM and it's amazing. In my phone goes faster than CM10. But it has some little bugs. I'm waiting to ak0r, he will upload a clean build in a few days.
Cm10 has bug in camera,. Sometime Camera gets blurred like Thats why I reverted back to HTC stock ROM.
Has camera bug free cm10 released? If yes than pls some one give me the download link of Stable CM10 with latest Gapps supporting it...
For cm10 use miui camera to get ride of artifacts in the camera. Beside that there's the YouTube bug and small delay with lock screen but its pretty much stable.

[Q] Miui ROM v3.18 Problem

Hey Guys,
Just switched from CM 10 to Miui V3.18, the phone is so slow its un-usable, just wondering if there is any way to change the clock speed etc on this ROM and where do I go to do so?
Thanks,
download titanium tweaker or similar app form store and set it to 1.2ghz
Sent from my HTC One V
Sorted itself and added Titanium
Thanks, took a few minutes but after a Miui market update it's now running smoothly.
Is it smoother than My one V? Rc 9.5?

Hi,
Tried MIUI V3.18 but found it to be stable but not as smooth as CM10.
However, rolled on V2.12 MIUI and its almost perfect, control panel really helps, seems stable so far with a really nice look and performance.
I removed LBE MIUI Security, added the Superuser from the MIUI page and all zRam, OC and KSM work well.
Never tried RC 9.5, prefer ROM's with a totally different feel to the stock.
Hope this helps,
