Hi, I flash rooted my HTC One X back in 2012 and was looking to unroot my phone back to factory settings. I've upgraded my computer then and haven't saved my backup and was wondering if there was any other way to get my phone back to HTC Sense and not Jellybean. The battery life is absolutely atrocious and I can't deal with it anymore. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can't find a RUU for HTC One X Orange Uk anywhere.

If you want to go back to stock ICS you need a 2.17 based nandroid backup. A 2.17 based RUU will fail because you have a JB hboot and we can't downgrade the hboot because of s-on on our devices

As some of you may know , I'm sending back to htc my desire to fix back and home key which aren't working anymore.
I successfully restored the original branded eclair rom (after a bit of pain).
Now this is the second time I bring it to assistence (last time was for vol down) and when they give it back to me it was updated to froyo.
I'm facing problem with 1.15=>1.21 OTA, installation is aborted due to status 7 (if some one can help I'll post the full error message).
Unfortunetly the ruu I've used is the only one from my carrier.
Will they know that my phone was updated by them and I'll lose my warranty?
Any idea about fixing status 7?
Many thanks.
Best regads,
Jussy
Why are you using such old RUUs? If you're unbranded just use the 2.29.405.5 one to get it back to HTC

Sadly I got a branded phone and that old ruu is the only one for my carrier.
Hey guys. Quick question if anyone can help me.
A friend has a HTC One X from Three UK which he has had carrier unlocked by Three UK themselves. I want to know if I would be able to flash the stock Rom onto this device to debrand it, without having to S-Off.
His CID is H3G__001. I initially assumed he would not be able to without S-Off, but I thought I would check my old HTC Hero which was originally on Three UK and then unlocked in the same manner.
The Hero I managed to debrand by flashing a stock RUU, but the CID on that device is also H3G__001. So I'm thinking, if the CID ends with __001, does that mean a stock RUU can be flashed?
Do any of you know what the CID is for a locked Three UK device?
My friend is looking to sell his HTC One X and I'll only buy it if I can debrand it and have it running the stock firmware.
Currently using a Desire HD and iPhone 4, but getting sick and tired of waiting for the upcoming ICS update. If HTC had said the DHD is not being update, then I would have just got the One X..!
My locked three branded phone has the same CID - I don't beleive you will be able to install a stock ruu on this phone without changing the CID.

You can still put a stock rom on the phone by going down the htc dev route but you can't use an RUU.
Hi Everyone,
Basically I had a htc desire hd fully rooted on 3UK never had an issue.... until I got my upgrade to HTC One X , meaning my dad was then given the DHD he unlocked it with a code so he could use Vodafone, all was well until recently it started dropping signal restarted it all was well then again no signal ie '' your sim doesn't allow connection to this network'' (or something like that)
It was running ginger sense or something cant remember..... I can get into boot loader, recovery etc but i have tried to flash various roms but nothing, I also flashed a radio to match the ril still nothing wont boot at all now.
This is the info off the phone:-
CID:H3G_001
MIDD9810000
Ace PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-2.00.0027
MICROP-0438
RADIO-26.14.04.28_M
eMMC-boot

If anyone can post me a link to an original 3UK RUU that will work or even advise why with the 2 RUU I have tried comes up error 135
Please help thanks in advance
Most likely he used an ime unlock code, which lets him use different carriers. Your phone is not rooted. S-on. Trying to flash roms on a phone that is not rooted and I believe - but not sure, trying to flash radios- would not work since it's still s-on.
Sent from a dream.
Cheers for the response yes the phone is rooted has been for almost 1yr lost count how many roms I have had on it etc.
Thinking of starting again as at a dead end been spending most of the day looking for RUU but all links are dead :crying:
If anyone has an RUU 3UK please send me a link or even a working guide if your rooted but S-ON again most guides are for USA Ace etc not UK Desire HD so keeps failing
cheers
As far as I know, this version works doesn't it?
I'm on Three.
Gonna flash to go back to stock.
Uploading to mediafire now.

Dude ITS S-ON! AAHK will solve it all
Sent from my Desire HD using Swype beta for Android!
Cheers matthew33 that would be great :good:
Right there this second have found a RUU which worked and brought the DHD back to life as if it just came out the box.
However back to square one... no service it just OTA to 2.3.3, with a 3 sim it does'nt say limited service or anything and when going into settings abut phone etc the APN seems correct but nothing?? Wifi works.
Funny thing is if I put in a Vodafone sim which it was unlocked to use it shows blank at the APN settings page.
I will try the AAhk kit or whatever its called as I can actually get into the phone now.
matthew33 can you let me know your baseband etc if your on 3uk so I can match and hopefully fix this stupid issue Thanks :good:

Actually I am using a Sky Dragon Rom in version 4.0.4, htc Sense 4.1 and Hboot 1.31.
Is it possible to go back to sotck if I have no nandroid backup of my phone ?

Yes you can but your bootloader will say relocked. There is a guide that's stickied in the one x development thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1859714

I bought the HTC M9+ (coming from M8) can't seem to figure out which version of the phone I have and which stock recovery I need. I figured I can get the stock recovery from my phone before rooting. How do I go about doing that?
HTC CID__622 is the phones cid.
