Anyone tried to replace these LCD screen? how about their quality?
Wrong post... Please remove my message.
hi anyone tried
I think the descriptions are wrong. They should all be an OLED screen. I looked at a few of those and some say "OEM" or "Refurbished".. meaning they are the original unit but labeled as LCD is the wrong the decriptor for the type of sceen technology it really is.
Good luck.

I have a cracked digitizer (If that is the glass thing on top)
I plan to replace it, but I want to figure out if there is a difference or not between an AMOLED or LCD screen digitizer
Anyone know?
I personally think there isnt a difference, but just to be sure.
Would I need to replace the LCD and all?
And btw, the touch still works, everything is flawless, I might just replace the battery and nothing else.

Yes there is a difference. As for the technical explanation I have no freakin idea. The thing is you cant use one with the other.

I am trying to find a digitizer then, but the problem is that none of them ever say if its for AMOLED or SLCD.
Can anyone find me a link?
And I still need to know if I need to buy an LCD AND digitizer or JUST a digitizer.

You're sure? I know there's obviously a difference with the actual screen but the digitizer?
this is the part where I need educated answers and not guesses and not "what I think it is"
According to the Guy on this forum link there a difference.

The screen and the digitizer are two separate devices. You should be able to swap the digitizer without considering what screen you have.
So my one x screen broke and I had to change the entire LCD plus digitizer.
But, after I took my phone from the repair shop, I realized that the LCD is not dim black like before. It's just Grey like on the sensation that I have...
I called the repair shop and they said it's okay and the quality of the screen is just like before, while I think the complete opposite.
I think it's a cheap fake LCD and that it's not even an LCD 2!! How can I know? :/

take a picture of it?
Probably better to get htc to look at it as they have official parts even if it does cost more. It will probably be a 3rd party lower quality screen.

I'm taking this damn screen back and ask for a refund. Thanks guys.

Hi
I am in this situation where my screen has a lot of white lines. Check the photo.
Should I replace screen, glass and digitaliser?
Thanks

I have exactly the same.
I guess its mostly wear of the AMOLED screen (but i have no explanation on why the lines run all the way across the screen).
So i guess its fine as it is (and i suppose in the end all Galaxy Nexus devices look linke this).
Unless you think its highly annoying and dont mind spending money on an ageing device...

My phone had this right after few months. Friend's S2 after 2 years.
First say hats off to Samsung. Their 1st generation HD AMOLED life expectancy is crap.
I think you gotta replace the screen. But chances of it happening again is quite high as the AMOLED ages. And like I said the AMOLED panels on our phone plainly suck.

So I just bought a tab s 10.5 on ebay with some pretty bad screen burn in and I'm trying a burn in fixer now but I'm thinking down the line I'll probably just replace the screen. I've looked at some videos of the process and I think I can pull it off myself but the videos all end before its completely taken apart. By that I mean the screens I see for sale have no brackets or connectors its just a screen with its chipset and a ribbon I think. The end of those take apart videos show a screen with a black tape thing in the middle and bracket all around. Is it easy to take off that bracket?
I can't post links or i'd post the video and a link to the replacement lcd but to sum it up, the end step of the take apart video and the lcd replacement look different and I'm wondering if anyone knows if its hard to move those parts over to the new lcd.
honestly, in my experience, burn in "fixers" are useless.. lol.. I had a 8.4 with burn in and got used to it. but what I would do if I were you if look for a broken tab s with good screen and swap parts. like on ebay find something like.. good lcd, but reboots.. or good lcd but doesn't turn on.. stuff like that.. you be amazed at the pricing you can get. I swapped a tab s 8.4 once and it was pretty easy. I would think its the same situation. where did you see the how to? ifixit?

It was on youtube from Mengtor. One deal for $172 that has all those connectors/brackets on the lcd. I'm guessing its not that hard to port over if I have to though. I'll keep a look out for broken tablets though that's a good idea, thanks.
Edit, ok there's a broken bronze colored one at $7.50 bid right now, any idea if the bronze panel will work with the white model? I don't care about the color mismatch as long as it all works ><

It should..
Having the part number for YOUR present screen and the part number for the one you want to purchase might help insure you get a correct replacement. I don't know how critical it is with Samsung but on my Asus TF700 it was very important else all might be reversed! One difference in a REVISION number can make the difference of a working tablet or not.

idk if its that critcal for samsung. I swapped a few different samsung devices with no issues. I do remember Asus TF-300 had that issue. it was so annoying. lol
I've changed the LCD and the motherboard on my sm-t800.
Everything is working fine again except that i now have some kind of logo in the background. And also a line at the bottom and top. It's really weird. I have them all the time. I even flashed a new rom and it's still the same. Never had this problem with my previous motherboard or lcd. (Can't test out anymore because the both are broken. )Could it be that's it's something that's printed into the glass/lcd? And then the most imported question how can i get rid of it?
Please have a look at the photos and you'll see what i mean.
Looks like the screen has burn-in, did you buy it new because it looks used.
Yes i've bought it new. Because i've had a broken screen. So you also think it's the screen instead of the motherboard?

That is not new. That is almost certainly screen burn. Possibly from a demo model.
Ok thank you for the info. ?
