Still no solution ?
Oke put the phone in the bootloader and run this script from the fastboot folder
http://db.tt/aLqeTpPO
It will continuously reboot the phone and charge it little by little. Then when there is enough juice in the battery run the ruu

But his phone is working and he can run it up , he can use it normaly and every day he charge the battery.
I mean he say the battery show him that it's more than 90% but the RUU still show that it's lower than 30%.
You mean to try charge it more than 100% with this script?

Ah the problem is like that. Then a batt stats wipe in the custom recovery might do the trick !

I just want to make sure that he is on 4.1.1 and he is trying to install the same 4.1.1 with RUU file.

Aha , so i think the problem will still on his device for along time
I just want to ask you , is there flashable stock roms by recovery?

Well yes, he can restore a nandroid backup. He can still flash the boot.img files because he needs 10% or more so that should not be a problem ...
He needs to do the fastboot command
Fastboot getvar version-main
And post the outcome......

[Q] I think i soft-bricked my phone. need advice on next step

Hey guys, im going to be as detailed as possible.
Couple of days ago i rooted my One X and it was all good, had installed a custom ROM and everything. But i found out that whatsapp doesnt play nice with custom ROMs. Sicne i need whatsapp( Yeah i tried to download LINE but i cant download large apps(?)) i decided to go back to the stock OS. I had a backup of nandroid on clockwork recovery mod and restored it. But it didnt get past the boot screen. Cleared cache etc still no dice. So i thought it would be a good idea to unroot my phone. No,no it wasnt.
I followed all the unrooting steps, locked the bootloader. Well here is my problem, when i tried to run the RUU it aid i had the wrong one. So i think i have found the right RUU but during the searching my battery went below 30%. Everytime i on/reboot the phone it just goes to fastboot. Am i wasting my time with this RUU stuff? or is it the way to fix my phone? If i it means anything, my cid is htc_44.
Thanks in advance
EDIT: Ok guys i really need your help, i cant even re-unlock the bootloader because the battery is too low. Whenever i try and charge it just goes to fastboot. Even if i try and powe it down it goes back into fastboot
what happends when you plug the phone in the wallcharger and boot into fastboot and then choose powerdown .... Does it start to charge and do you see a red charging light come on !
Otherwise you have to search for the batt charge script
This is the one i found
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1658084
Dude you should have flashed the boot.img file for stock and none of this would have happened. That was the only step you were missing

It just goes back into fastboot. Im currently charging my battery with the bat file. After its charged what do i do? unlock bootloader and go in clockworld recovery to charge then do the RUU
Well my best guess is that you run the ruu directly after charging
Keep the phone in fastboot USB mode and run the ruu from pc with admin rights !!!

You can charge it from Clockworkmod 5.8.4.0, which is quicker and will charge more than the script.

[SOLVED] Bricked HTC One X, not charging cannot RUU less than 30% battery

Hi guys, im new here and I would like to seek help to fix my phone. I searched for similar threads but like this but my situation is different.
So I bricked my HOX last night (long story and because of the other things I did in panic some of which I cant remember a full story may not be relevant) but here is my situation
Now my battery says its too low to flash so I cant RUU flash
Its also re-locked and because battery is low, I cant flash the unlock (FAILED: battery low)
Im also not sure which CWM version I have. I do remember I flashed 5.8.4.0 at some point but Im not too sure if I overwrote with another. (So im not sure which CWM I have installed)
All these I tried today thinking I have 30% battery because I left the phone plugged to the wall last night but apparently the phone didnt charge thats why Im in this situation (battery too low to flash)
Now I managed (I think so) to turn off the phone, the screen isnt on (But there is no red light). But I will leave it plugged to the wall anyway (using HTC cable and charger)
edit: the phone screen is on, im leaving it plugged to the wall and there is this red warning saying battery level is too low to flash (so Im not sure if its charging)
Anything I can do to fix this problem?
Thanks!

I had a similar issue. Although you are a silly bugger for panicking and then forgetting what you did.
The only things I can suggest, assuming you still have 5.8.4.0 I think it charges in this version? See of you can do that...
If not, I am not sure.
I assume you did a nandroid and have tried restoring it?
Did you remember to flash the boot.img before installing the ROM that I assume bricked your phone?

Im not sure if the current one is 5.8.4.0. I do remember flashing it last night but maybe it did'nt work coz after that I charged the phone overnight (well for about 5 hours or so) and it still "battery too low to flash"
as for nandroid, I know I pressed backup at then the CWM but that was everything got bricked. Now I dont know if its still relevant (when the phone was unlocked I did go to CWM backup and it said phone is restored but that didnt help. Nothing happened and I could not boot)
I do remember that I flashed with boot.img from the "aokp_ICJ421-V2.0" but then again Im not sure if thats relevant since I did so many flashing and unflashing and what not :crying:
So now Im in a situation where I want to do the RUU but I cant because battery is too low, and Im not sure if its charging because Im not sure what my CWM version is but I cant flash the CWM to latest anyway because 1. phone is relocked 2. phone battery is too low to flash to either unlock or update CWM version :crying:
edit:
The RED LED light is on. Is it charging? But the screen is also on =(

Bootloader / HTC screen bootloop help ):

So me being the impatient guy that I am decided to unroot/relock my HoX. I followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1859714
I downloaded the nandroid that matched my ID, HTC_044. Restored the backup, all was fine but the ROM was rooted. Flashed stock recovery and kernel too.
I then deleted the SU files from system/app and system/bin and /xbin. Rebooted, but somehow SU was still there. So I deleted the files again and wanted to boot into stock recovery to do a wipe.
So I boot into the bootloader, tried getting into recovery. Had the red ! exclamation mark. So I flashed the recovery again and that's where the problem started. My phone is going crazy right now.
It's bootlooping at the HTC quietly brilliant screen. 2 seconds and it reboots forever. I tried forcing my way into the bootloader, but then the bootloader has a mind of it's own and bootloops as well. Whenever I manage to get into the bootloader, it boots for 2 seconds then it goes back into bootlooping.
Here's a video of everything happening. I need help! Battery is at 100% last I checked, but it's been bootlooping for 3 hours now ):
Nobody? ): My phone's been bootlooping for 7 hours now D:

Yeah good thinking but a bootlooping device can't run a ruu because fastboot usb connection is lost at reboot, therefore no communication between phone and pc

EDIT : I got lucky and managed to fastboot erase cache but it's still bootlooping. I've got the RUU ready and rom.zip extracted, but with the bootloader looping as well, I don't know what to do.
Why don't you try running the RUU?? I know the phone needs to be in connection with the PC all the time but still.. worth a try...
If you can't access bootloader on the One X, it's a hard brick!
You can try to start the ruu, hope it works. But i have my doubts.
Nothings else you can do atm, maybe somebody with more knowledge or this experience pops up !

Why don’t try to open it and disconnect the battery. I think letting it drain out doesn’t mean the battery is 0% (no power).

He is full stock ATM and even the bootloader is relocked, he has better chance of claiming warranty via HTC and letting them fix it instead of opening it himself and trying to fix it (which I doubt would be of any help)... again there's a chance that he could damage or tear one of the cables while doing it...
@ OP
If you don't get any solution within two days, it's better you send it to HTC if you are still under warranty... If you have experience opening up the device, then go with @moom999 soln...:good:

3 Install custom rom or stock it is your decision.
thx
Tnx A lot man i will try it !

Bro it doesnt charge the phone ..
i left it like 6 hours and it was rebooting all the time and the battery is still low what should i do ??
You have to wait and let it reboot still in charge.
After few times, message "battery too low..." will dissapear then you'll be able to unlock phone and install recovery.
You'll have to be fast in doing that.
Had this pb too, was near the good "less charge" and had to wait a lot (for only some mA missing).
At each reboot, you can read the mA amount, it must grow little by little.
Good luck

Are everything is OK now. Must to wait long time to charge in this way. This evening try to do the rest of the things. If you unlock and flash recovery you can put the phone in recovery and charge to full, but only if you unlock and flash this recovery where I give you in my post.
Tnx !
