Hi. Some days before I tried to root my note 2 with odin, and it was perfect util. I had restart it and the recovery didn't run. Besides of that, the mobil worked perfectly. I put cmw and the recovery still didn't work. Before using odin, I wanted to do it with Galaxy Note 2 Toolkit, but I think the build number doesn't coincide with the program.
The build number of my note 2: Build number - JRO03C.N7100XXALIJ ; Baseband version - N7100BUALI8 ; Android version - 4.1.1
I was told to root with the LTE version of the toolkit, but I have GSM version, maybe. Is there any problem?
Reflash recovery depending on your needs CWM /stock

I have been working on it for more than a day now, getting those note 3 features on my note 2 (N7105 XXUEML3). I tried DN3, but Spen does not work, baseband unknown missing imei. Cannot restore it through QPST because it does not recognized the device, tried every damn drivers and nothing. Back up on the aroma for EFS does not keeps on crashing. Baseband choices on it is for N7100, i don't get how the others managed to have it worked on their devices? Tried installing a stock rom that is deodexed, found one in the forums and flashed the mod of the note 3 features, but got stuck on the loading screen, just stays there. This is the most troublesome mod i've ever encountered. Any help will be appreciated.
You may have to flash stock through odin to get your baseband back. N7100 roms do not work on the n7105. Flash the one from this thread and select n7105. If you are on 4.1.2 you will have to flash devil kernel afterwards to get wifi.

Well you used the wrong recovery which is why you lost imei and baseband. Same happened to me. I just flashed cm11 or you can try another. Flashing a stock ROM won't work unless use Odin and factory reset after flash. Install philz recovery or use older twrp 2.6.3.1 as newer versions don't flash ROM properly. Whatever ROM you had imei and baseband working flash that back

If you read his post he flashed the n7100 version by mistake. You can lose baseband by restoring a backup from an older version of recovery with a newer recover I know that from experience unfortunately lol

Hi
I have a Galaxy S3 SGH-I747M, which is already rooted and running 4.1.2. I just tried installing new ROMs on it via TWRP. First I tried Omni Rom kit Kat, then CM11, then CM 10.2, as well as 10.1. Every time it didn't work. I loaded the ROM and the corresponding GAPPS via SD card, wiped data, system, dalvik, cache, then tried installing from ZIP. I don't know why none of them worked. I read Omni ROM may not, and may only work on the ATT S3, but CM10 not working? I softbricked the phone a few times in the process, but was smart enough to back it up, and am currently at square one. Can someone help please?
I want CM11, or better yet Kit Kat!
Thanks in advance
Edit: I have the latest version of TWRP, 2.6. something

I had problems installing Roms too until I flashed the latest CWM.
Also, I don't recommend updating your ROM to stock 4.3 unless you have to.
I tried with CWM and got a status 7 error

What version of CWM are you using? You should be on 6.0.4.5.
I am using CWM 6.0.4.5

What errors are you getting during installation? You have a i747m or i747? The d2att is the i747 (i.e. s3 on AT&T)
I am getting status 7. I have the Rogers I747M, but the d2att I heard works for the M model as well.

Does the phone need to be unlocked? Does it have to do with the bootloader?

Under About Phone, what device do you have? Is it d2att?
I have SGH-I747M. Baseband version 4.1.2

So you're running a Bell or Rogers version of stock rooted 4.1.2?
I think so, pretty sure it's stock. Yes, it's rooted

I was on stock 4.1.2 and flashed to a stock 4.1.1, unlocked the phone using a free method and went back to stock 4.1.2.
I'm not sure why you're having problems. I flashed a stock 4.1.2 ROM from here for my Bell s3: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1739426
I then loaded Philz Touch Recovery and was able to flash Cyanfox, CM11, and Validus13 which are all based on 4.4.2.
I would avoid 4.3 bootloaders.
So it may be because the phone is locked? That seems to be the only difference between yours and mine. That and Philz touch recovery, but does the recovery program matter? I tried these ROMS with TWRP and CWM. Both latest versions

You mean carrier locked? That shouldn't make a difference.
Since you're on stock 4.1.2 and have never been on stock 4.3, you could also flash the 4.1.1 stock rom, carrier unlock your phone, flash Philz, and then try to flash a rom.

You mean unlocked from the carrier? If you're saying being carrier locked is not relevant to flashing a new ROM, then the only difference is that you used Philz recovery. Man, I just want some KitKat already on my phone. The bootloader wouldn't have anything to do with this?

If you're on stock 4.1.2, you should be fine. I had problems flashing with TWRP so I went with the latest release of Philz. I was able to flash 3 different KK ROMs.
Okay. I'm going to try Philz. Is there a good KK ROM you recommend? Also where can I find the Gapps for KK? I got it somewhere before, but I can't find it on goo

Which version of Philz do you use?

Get the tar or zip version from here. Tar can be flashed in Odin under PDA and the zip can be flashed from another custom recovery: http://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/d2att
More details and and installation instructions are here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2201860
I like Cyanfox myself. You can download it from here: http://cyanfox-rom.com/downloads/?folder=d2att/
Gapps are here: http://cyanfox-rom.com/downloads/?folder=_gapps/
I've looked through all the posts for this phone and haven't had any luck. I'm trying to install the latest version of cyanogenmod 11 on my s2. But it says I need to update the radio. How would I go about doing this?

If you're coming from any rom that is based on JB 4.1.2 or higher then just flash one of the radios found here.
If coming from a rom that is based on ICS 4.0.4 or older then you need to update to stock JB 4.1.2 to get the proper radio files, use Odin and site like SamMobile to get the proper firmware rom or use Samsung Kies.
Once you have the proper radio also make sure you have KK4.4 compatible recovery - You must use TWRP 2.6.1.0 or CWM 6.0.3.7+ recovery or you will boot loop!
Note about just flashing newer radio without going to stock first, some tried this and ran in to lots of issues because those radio .zips don't have all the files needed for the radio's partition, if you were running a JB 4.2/CM 10.1 rom without issue you should be able to get away with just flashing radio.
Ok so i just updated to 4.4.2 and now i get this stupid Security Notice saying Unauthorized actions have been detected Tap here for more info, and i flashed super su 1.93 in TWRP yet after i reboot there is no root access and says there is no su binary installed in SuperSU.
Try flashing chainfire auto root for the international note 3 using Odin

Problem solved I just flashed Philz Recovery and everything works. Twrp 2.7 has issues. I always used a 2.6.3 which always worked but now that I'm on 4.4.2 I have to use newer recoveries.
And I have 900T not an international model so that wouldn't work for me Unless it didn't matter on the model.

For rooting kit Kat the international autoroot works. Glad you were able to fix it!

Hi, recently I rooted and installed CM11 on my AT&T SGH-i317. Everything worked fine, however, I noticed that it change my model number from SGH-i317 to GT-N7105 (the international LTE version). I didn't think anything was wrong with that since everything was working. However, I now want to revert back to stock but my phone won't connect to Samsung Kies 3 and is not being recognized by Odin. I've tried everything I could think of including turning USB debugging mode off and uninstalling and reinstalling Kies; nothing helped. My phone is currently running the latest CyanogenMod 11 nightly for the LTE version. Should I download the latest stable version of CM for the i317 version and then try to use Kies? Are there any other options I can use?
Is your phone recognized at all by your computer? What version of Odin are you using?
Yeah, my computer recognizes my phone as N7105, not i317. I'm using Odin 3.09
Sent from my GT-N7105 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
CM can only be flashed using a custom recovery. Do you have a stock or custom recovery? What bootloader is on your phone? Did you try using Odin 3.07? What firmware were you trying to flash with Odin?
I'm using the philz touch recovery and I was trying to flash the stock ROM. I don't know what a bootloader is or where to find it. I tried using Odin 3.07 and got the same result
Sent from my GT-N7105 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
My question overall is will it work if I flash the latest stable version of CM 11 for the t0leatt version? I think doing that will revert the firmware back to SGH-i317 (US AT&T version) instead of the international version. Would KIES and Odin recognize it then?
Sent from my GT-N7105 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
You can only use Odin to flash back to stock if the ROM has been specifically compiled for flashing via Odin.
I believe that the builds for the various Note 2 models have been unified so you should be flashing ROMs for the t)lte.
When using Odin, are you in download mode? What errors are you getting in Odin? I would not bother using Kies.
Thank you so much. I had completely forgotten that you had to be in download mode in order to use Odin lol. I'm not at home at the moment to try to see if that works, but will try asap.
