CM9 Kernel?

What Kernels are supported in CM9?
Can someone link me to all of them?
Does this work in CM9 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1573184
I think DoomLords kernel works on CM9, but one is included in the FXP .zip, and I believe Keiran has also made a kernel for CM9.
KeiranFTW's kernel is your best option IMO for CM9 , it provides the best battery life !

That DooMLoRD kernel linked works great with CM9 (and AOKP). It's the one I use
Thanks everyone!
Theres just a little problem, i just flashed CM9 & Keirans Kernel, so i just tried turning on wifi & it gets stuck on 'Turning on wi-fi' & its all grey, but this problem occured when i flashed a CM9 on its own, so the problems still there, erm imma try to do a factory reset now, but anyone got any ideas?
I'd go through the normal steps to install CM9 again: wipe data, cache and dalvik-cache and then install CM9 again. I think I had this problem before, I just reinstalled it and it worked.

There is a fix on the cm9 dev topic for the wifi issue.
Keirans kernel is working great but the battery is dropping pretty fast. Can anyone suggest another kernel that is more efficient battery wise?

Of course I don't know what works and doesn't. You have to tell me.
Instructions:
- Flash Kernel "fastboot flash boot boot.img".
- In recovery wipe data and cache.
- In recovery flash the ROM.
- Reboot.
- In recovery flash Gapps and reboot.
Download:

AOKP for S???? Too excited. Will give it a try once I am home. I only hope all major features are working
Nice work I will try this when I get back, is there a certain baseband we need to be on?
Sent from my LT26i using xda premium
I don't know even if it boots...
Same baseband as CM9.
I've been porting it too so expect builds from me if OP doesn't get his device.
Since this is running on fxp kernel, I assume most of the essential things that make a phone a phone isn't working as well, am I right?
Anyone given it ago yet?? Has he managed to get the modem working when fxp cant? Nice to see some new Roms in this forum thanks

No, nothing modem related there. Same kernel...
stupid question: the buttons on-screen are there or they can be hidded and use the built ones?

In AOKP you can always switch the buttons on and off. Even if they are there by default, which I highly doubt, you'll be able to disable them in ROM Control.
I really hope major features are working. I'll try it tomorrow evening after job
Just want to announce that Venom and I decided to join forces. Having some schtuff I'll try to get, we might be able to get the baseband working

Thanks, I will try your CM10 ROM, although I have rooted and installed several ROMS in a samsung spica, and a sony Xperia ArcS, I have not very clear how to install your ROM.
Wipe Data, Cache, and system "OK"
Flash the ROM "It's the TEST13 file? is this done in the recovery, right?"
Flash GApps "is this done in the recovery, right?"
Download the boot.img "OK xD"
Flash boot.img in fastboot "I guess this one is not done in the recovery, could you please be a little bit more specific? what is included in the boot.img? it's mandatory?"
If I install this kernel it adds any apps/option in the ROM so I can change the OC to 1.2 or keep the default 1?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1765687
Or in order to change I need to install a 3rd party app in google play?
Thanks in advance

boot.img is the kernel, mandatory.
In case you need commands
Settings>Performance has options for freq. control. But I think some app like "no frills" is recommended.

ARC LT15 .587 rooted,locked bootloader & Zelly cream 2.5
Same problem here. No wi-fi switch on,networks ,nothing. I had wi-fi on previous .562. firmware.
Switched to Zelly Bean yesterday and slowly going through and upgrading but stuck as cannot do a lot without wi-fi.
Flashed .587 stock kernel as locked bootloader but now do not know what to do.
I am guessing I need to flash something through flashtool if someone could be so kind I would be much obliged.
Many thanks in advance.
You must to flash the WiFi Modules for your kernel.
But how??

Still got the same issue I know I have to flash but it is a stock kernel on locked bootloader?!?
Tried to flash the kernel over and over but now I know it must be something else.
If someone could please send me a link and how to flash said module it would be much appreciated.:fingers-crossed:
many thanks in advance

[Q] Wifi tethering with CM10.1 (TeamCanjica)

Hello, I switch from stock rom to CM10.1 latest nightly (081013) and it seems I can't have wifi tether working.
It activate ok and I set a more than 8 letters password.
My laptop or tablet manage to connect to the phone but they have no internet connection. I checked the phone still have an internet connection of course.
Any idea what i can try? already try wiping cache and dalvik but it changes nothing.
that's a pity because CM10.1 is quite faster smoother and battery saving than stock. I'm very happy with it but i need wifi tether )
thanks in advance for help.
Try latest build. From 13th.

will try it. didn't see there was a new built and i checked a few hours ago!
thanks!
will tell how it work (one way or another)

Tried a full factory reset and cache/dalvik wipe;
then reinstall CM10.1 13102013 and gapps.
Still not working :crying:
Will try MG2 then if you think it's worth it?

I have no idea, but flashing stock rom sometimes helps.
I just installed XXMH1. Tested wifi tethering and it was working perfectly.
Installed back CM10.1 (today's build) and still the same problem. can connect but no internet ;_;
can it be a wifi channel problem? is there a way to change it like in stock rom?
Tethering is working perfectly for me... It is problem at your end...
Sent from my GT-I8160
Wifi tethering works fine for me on CM 10.1 as well. Something that I did not noticed before is that on my Windows 7 64-bit client, I had to manully run the command ipconfig /release (to release the current IP assignment) and ipconfig /renew (to request new address from phone DHCP server)
These are to be run from Command Prompt with Administrative rights.

Strange, I am using mf1 base too and I had no problems with tethering either on any of roxy's CM10.1 builds or Harald's CM10, although for slim rom I had to use polishvodka's fix

Can a new kernel change something or is it not related? which one would you advise me?
