Loving this ROM, my s3 is running super smooth, a few problems, when I try to setup my lock screen to either pattern or pin and try to set the timer it will never change from 5 seconds, also I don't have an option to customize the slide wheel. And is it possible to get the original ICS cropping tool? Can anyone help? Thanks

I am running cyanogenmod 7.0.0 stable. Is it possible to set up the phone where you have a standard lock screen and a security one? I have it currently set that if its left inactive for 10 or more minutes you need a lock code to unlock it. I want to put another lock on it so when i just turn the screen off you need the rotary unlock to open it. Is it possible or is it just one or the other?

As far as I know, it's not possible. It's one or the other. I'm not sure if you may be able to get what you're looking for by using Widget Locker, but you could try. When I tried it out back in the day on a Sense rom, it slowed my phone down horribly though.

Hi All,
I was reading an article today, and in it noticed an image of a circular unlock screen which allows you to access messages and call logs directly from the lock screen. The image I'm referring to can be found here;

Not at present as it's a custom lock screen
You can do that with WidgetLocker. Don't believe all of the trash saying you need a custom ROM.

Locker Widgets or Themes
Would either the GO Locker or the Widget Locker allow a different lock screen when one is on Exchange and only the pin lock screen is allowed?
It would be nice to have an unlock method that is secure but yet something that can be down will no looking at the screen .....driving.

He's right except for one small detail
Widget Locker and Go Locker are trash compared to the stock lock screen because they don't function as cleanly and as perfectly as the stock lock screen.
So yeah, don't believe all that trash saying you need a custom ROM /s
except for the part where the custom lock screen in that ROM is 100x better and smoother than widget locker and go locker which suffer from that horrible 5 second lock problem.

Enable root helper in WidgetLocker. Bam. No delay. Complete customization. WL is buttery smooth for me.
RootzBoat v6.1 rom has functionality built in. I'm not sure if its a custom lockscreen or just something the modded in themselves.
But it's cool.

Ive recently switched back to MIUI (Stock), have been using mildwild for a while before that.
on mildwild i grew accustomed to having a pattern to unlock my phone, so i created one in MIUI too, but theres a problem:
MIUI puts its own lockscreen even before the unlock pattern which makes me pull down the MIUI lockscreen and THEN enter my pattern to unlock my phone.
Kind of redundant u might think? me too, so im searching for a way to reduce the procedure to the pattern screen only
is there some easy way to do so? there is no way to change this in the standard settings menu, there has been a flashable zip for a pretty old version of miui, but that doesnt work anymore.
is there an app for that? (nolock disables the whole unlocking, which goes a step too far)

I'm fairly sure the lock screen is unchangeable on the stock ROM, custom ROM's there is usually an option to use one of the many ICS lock screens and in some cases lock screens from previous versions of Android. As for LeeDroid I'm not too sure as I have never used it, but in other ROM's the setting is usually found inside the ROM Control or ROM settings inside the settings menu.

What custom ROM's are you talking about that have options for the lock screen?
I know that the MIUI ROM uses a different lock screen, and if you don't want to use the entire ROM, you can use the MIUI Launcher app to add it to any ROM.
I too would like to simply disable or remove it somehow if at all possible.

I just updated my Droid Incredible (ADR6300) with the experimental CM9 at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1558923 using mamarley's kernel.
For the most part it seems to be stable, but I am hoping to replicate the screen unlock functionality available under CM7 where the after a very short timeout the screen unlock would go to the slider, and after about half hour or so, it would switch over to the pattern unlock. The slider and pattern lock had independent settings on CM7. I cannot seem to find a similar way to do so under CM9.
Moreover, even if I set a 30 second timeout to pattern lock after sleep, I cannot seem to get it to engage with the CM9.
Is this related to the unsupported nature of the build I am using, or is it a "freature" of CM9?
