I know this is a Google wallet issue of not clearing Google wallet before flashing rom.
But I thought Google fixed this.
Has anyone else gone into sprint store for replacement.
I have tep but $150.00
Is a bitter pill to swallow if sprint can fix our replace in store under warranty.

Can you provide some more information on your specific device? (i.e. firmware, modem, ROM, kernel). Taking your phone into Sprint isn't going to do anything except void your warranty. There's no official support for Google Wallet on the L900, and they will not assist you. Also, why do you believe that it's a problem that would require support from Sprint? Before assuming it's a hardware problem, you should test the NFC function. This is likely a software issue that you can resolve yourself.

I have the same problem. Until we are officially supported for wallet, I wouldn't take it to sprint for this problem

I wasn't thinking clearly you guys x are so correct.
I'll wait till we get support then go in
I tried a few different things restoring to stock etc. Nothing worked so far
But this issue is with many NFC capable phones not just the note 2.
Seems something goes awry when flashing and not wiping Google wallet data first.

We had that problem in the g nex forum all the time and only way to fix was to get replaced by sprint .... if they ever support the note2 with wallet

I am running stock 4.2 on rogers in Canada. I have the latest wallet app with a prepaid card. I have done all the obvious things to get it working such as enable nfc, I am rooted, market enabler, open the apk, go to the prepaid card screen, go to pay and nothing happens. I have used all parts of the phone tapping. I was on a rom at one point and tried it and got it to say payment sending but with no success. Anyone have any ideas? I have searched the forum and there are other topics but nothing that solves my problem. Thx in advance.

First question, are you using an extended battery or any battery other than stock that might not have the NFC stuff?
Second question, are you able to get your hands on another Gnex/some NFC tags? I would try testing it with one of those to see if its just google wallet acting up, assuming you're using an appropriate battery.
My phone is stock. No mods of any kind. Software or hardware. And no unless I go into a store maybe and use theirs.

Might not be a bad idea, if you've got the time.

I just got my (Sprint)Samsung Galaxy S III and when I open Google Wallet I get a popup that says...

Unfortunately, Google Wallet has not yet been certified in your country or on you device / carrier.

Yes

I'm having the same exact issue. Just got my sprint gs3 today. Mine is a 32gb and is stock / never been rooted. I'm in the KC area. Makes me wonder if its a software issue, or regional issue.
I'll add my name to the list. I'm still stock and I was getting the above Google Wallet error right away on my new 32GB SGS3.
I just used wallet twice today 16gb pebble non root

I thought I had heard the 16GB versions were working. I bet Sprint and Google just need to get together and make sure the 32GB version is added to the list of approved devices, hopefully that can be fixed in the next day or two.

I was excited to see that there was actually a Google Wallet update today, but unfortunately didn't resolve the issue.
I'm rooted but used wallet yesterday with no problem. Then today, I'm lucky I had cash on me cuz I got this notification as well when I opened google wallet. 16 gig white

Ok im getting reports of Google wallet not working even on stock devices i think it has something to do with sprint not for sure but think it has something to do with sprint trying to release a competitor app to google wallet making it impossible for both apps to control the secure element so youd have to choose between google wallet and sprints touch wallet nothing is confirmed but thats my assumption

Wallet Fix
There is a fix, at least it worked for me!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1365360
SE borked?
I guess this is more of a vote than anything else. I successfully activated Google Wallet on my Sprint SGS3 on 6/22 and added my Citi card. Doing so also automatically activated a $10 Google gift card.
I then rooted my device and ensured Google Wallet was still a go (I simply would receive the warning banner stating that the device was technically unsupported due to root).
I then started reading reports that Google Wallet was dead for various users so I checked again and sure enough, no more access to Wallet for me.
I wanted to see if the Sprint LF9 update would cure me. I took a risk and decided to unroot my device (ODIN back to stock). Since I couldn't clear and deactivate Wallet before I ODINed back to stock, do you think my SE is dead?
In other words, you think I should try to exchange my device now or wait to see if the Wallet issue is fixed and then check my device to see if everything is functional?
I guess I could always root again and attempt to apply the workarounds posted in the forum. Anyway, let me know what you think and thanks for the input.
Anyone else experience this? My wife has an HTC Vivid and she still has the option to bill to carrier and she is running ICS. I have not rooted my ion or loaded any custom roms on it, it's all stock..I called AT&T and they said they have no control over that. Is there a way to resolve this? I wasn't really able to find any answers online.
Make sure you are using carrier data and not wifi

I have turned off wifi and even went to the extreme of wiping my phone. I have never had this issue before...surely there is a fix somehow. It also must just be this phone because I tried a different phone with my sim card and everything and that option was available and that phone was running ICS.

Hmm I don't ask you to follow this suggestion, but how about try to reset or flash a gingerbread version firmware?
Sent from my GT-P1000 using xda premium
I would be willing to try that. It's not that it's major that it's not working but it just bugs me because occasionally I do use that feature. Are there any good step by step instructions on that process? I just don't want to brick my phone or anything lol...

Very disappointed by this... Used it on my S3 all the time. Guess we have to sit tight and wait for a ROM that can use it.

We have NFC, so I don't understand why it's bot supported. Do you think we may get this feature in the future, or could this be an AT&T issue?

Probably a build.prop edit will fix it, but could break other things. It would work by telling GW it is a different device.

Has anyone emailed the developers of the app to see if they can fix it? I would assume it's just a case of it's a new phone and needs to be added into to the program.

Anything that accepts paypass.
This on top of "Samsung Apps" having a bunch of "Test Apps" for the ifrst 3 days shows they weren't at all ready for release... REALLY .. is it that different from Google Wallet? There are other apps that don't work
The NFC apps dont work at all - i just tried to pay my parking meter in SFO today with it - doesn't work (yes it is on).
I've had good luck with NFC

What's the point of having NFC then?

It's Sprint that's the holdup. I wasn't able to use Wallet on my S3 until after I'd rooted and installed a different ROM (CM10 at that point). When I went back to a TW ROM, Wallet continued to work (not sure what they did with their TW ROMs, as even the leaks of the official ROMs continued to work).

Hi guys, I'm not asking this for myself as I have the rogers version and I'm quite experienced with flashing properly.
My friend has a wind (t999v) version of the s3,he does not know how to root or flash and he never did either. What he did was update his phone to the new jellybean firmware, the proper way. After the update his touchscreen stopped working. The menu button, back button, and settings buttons still work but everything else on the screen is non responsive. He brought it to the wind store and told them. They returned the phone and told him that it's his own fault for upgrading and wants 600 dollars to repair it.
I'm wondering if there is another solution for him before I try flashing some custom roms for him. Or whether flashing anything else will fix the issue because it doesn't seem like a software issue to me.
Sorry for such a long post and thanks in advance.
( samsung sends their phone to a third part to fix, and they were the ones that said there's nothing that they would do without 600)

That's a bunch of BS. It's an OTA for goodness sakes. OTAs go through Samsung and then the telecom. So, if the OTA was available, it had to go through his telecom. If the OTA is the cause, for whatever reason, then they should honor that.
Seriously, that's BS.
