I love the HTC J Butterfly Homescreen widgets, and sadly arent on the DNA. Is there a way to port them to the Galaxy Nexus? Mostly the Clock and quickstart apps. They are also on the HTC Rhyme, if the J butterfly isnt compatible.

It relies on HTC sense framework and libs, so to have work, you pretty much need to port the whole ROM.

Well that stinks. All sense ports have been dropped from some reason..I should have bought an HTC..the software buttons add so much annoyance too, extra time to put those in.
Well sell your nexus go buy an HTC phone. see Ya.

Here is a rom of HTC J Butterfly. I dont feel like getting into it and try getting it to work but hey here's a link!

Stock rooted Deodex: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390248398092764890 ( Camera will crash if you try and record a video, seeing what can be done to resolve this. Please use the odex'd rom instead if you need to video record.)

What does it do?
^
Yer what he said, is it galaxy s3 tweaks or something?
I tried to Google it and the ONLY discription I found is three words "app suggestion program"
My assumption based on that is that it analyzes your installed apps and suggests similar ones that you may like.
But that is only a guess.
has anyone tried it yet?
Thanks I may try it later
But I Have A Question
Can we extract system app from HTC ? Sony ? and edit it to work with Galaxy S2 ^_^
Working fine on cm9. Ty

Its about 90% similar to Samsung Apps. It shows you a selection of the best/highest rated apps available on the Play Store.

It works fine on westcrip's RR 1.9 Rom! Kind of a same as SGS 2'S samsungapp but with modified framework! Like the Blendid Black Background which more or less looks like the modified Google play app in Vertumus ICS Domination Theme!
works well on my galaxy tab 2 7.0 not really impressed with the app itself. thanks though
Thanks for sharing
it worked fine for my Note with custom room
How do i disable auto update from s suggest?

Without root? Then how is that considered porting?
You would need to port the entire sense ROM for the framework

There's a sense4 theme for themechooser packin' ROMS available. If you want sense, my suggestion is to get on a ROM with themechooser and try that first. Most differences between that an actual sense are nothing anyone would miss. I'm unaware of any sense ROMS made for the gnex, anyone making one would probably be harassed to death by the sense haters =D

HTC Sense is the best thing to ever happen to android. With a simple skin you can change the appearance and design of your phone entirely. I have taken the time to learn the methods of creating a new skin for my device: and have enjoyed both the process and the results. And now, I would like to share the experience with you! My latest selection, entitled; "Bliss Series”, is the most refined product of mine thus far. I hope you have as much fun with it, as I did creating it!
Now available in the "Venom Hub" for the Viper4G rom on the HTC EVO LTE and HTC One X. If your rooted and not running Viper4G.......Then you should be!
Also available on the Google play store for those not running Viper4g or those not rooted.
To make these, special thanks goto..
Jeffsanace - all his skin magic
Team 420 - coolest crew ever
HTC - sweetest phone ever
Everyone that has downloaded

yes but i think that touchwiz frameworks broke the idea to port it. mybe there are some themes or mods wich looks like this !? i searched for it a few times but i cant find anything
I like it because of the animations.
Touchwiz is the launcher but had got nothing to do with the taskbar I guess? I think it might be possible..
No touchwiz is the whole interface from Samsung . I ask around a lot if someone can port lockscreen er taskbar or keyboard etc..even the same answer. The launcher is portable (im running it in the Moment ) ..but nothing more.

It must be possible to add shortcuts on the bar and copy the images. I like those green ones. Thats actually the only thing I like about the sgs
Why don't you just download an app like SwitchPro? It's extremely customisable. It's far less hastle.
Here's how I have mine set up......

What about it? I haven't seen any difference in power consumption whilst running SwitchPro, to when I'm not.
Anyways, JB ViperX will be out soon which will have this mod included. In the meantime, you can flash the ICS ViperX which also has it, is extremely battery friendly and very stable.

It will probably be impossible as it will require touchwiz and its files.
This is from the Samsung Galaxy S4... Okay thanks. I was wondering if it would work if I used a touchwiz ux ROM.

You would probably need the whole Touchwiz framework to make it work.

Why????????Can't we port the libraries of the specified apps????? S4's Launcher has been ported so why not the camera?? We're talking about TouchWiz here, not Sense. It is Sense apps that are impossible to port because of an embedded framework.
Lol
