Hi, on the GNote II, we can create folders of different names under Galleries to store the photos. Could you please tell me how to rename the folders? There is no such option. Thanks.
You can do it using a file manager. I like Estrongs File Explorer.

Guys, I just got an HOX and I´ve copied some files into it but I cannot seem to find out how to access them. I used to have a Galaxy S2 and in the App drawer there was a MyFiles app that gave me access to all the files in the phone. I´ve clicked all apps on the phone and I still cannot access the phones´ files....
Perhaps you need a file explorer? Like Es File Explorer
solid explorer is well regarded at the moment
+1 for solid explorer..

Click to collapse
Did you try fixing the permissions?
I never done this but done other stuff. Find the folder where the sound files are located, look and remember their permission.(rw--r--r) or something like that. Rename the new sound files to the exact name of your systems old one. Copy a back up of your old sound files(optional). Then copy over the new sound files replacing the old ones
Now reboot.
Open file manager and change the permissions to match the old one.
Reboot.
Enjoy.

I found that my note 2 internal storage & CPU battery all used by Gallery, which is scanning my internal storage & external SD files to create thumbnails. And even worse, it created one stupid big file which is totally wrong. I tried deleted it, created a fake one. But more than thousands thumbnails keep generating. Any one has similar problem, or recommended solution?

I'm new to the note 2 but you could try the .nomedia trick. Is there a particular folder where it's finding tons of thumbnails? Make a file called .nomedia and put it in that directory and it won't scan that folder. Kind of a hack but just to get the phone going.

Thanks, I did the trick. The problem is still the same. The Gallery automatically create one directory DCIM under sdcard, and also create .thumbna ils sub-directory under DCIM. I followed one solution here, create a directory name the same as the .thumbdata3--????. And it keeps this dumb file never being created again. Even though there are still a lot of tiny thumbnail files created, at least no more single dumb huge file error any more. FYI.

I can't for the life of me figure out how to delete the pre installed folders that came in the app tray.

Has anyone found a wear app that actually let's you edit files on the watch? Even the root essentials app file manager doesn't allow me to edit file names.
