Carbon Fiber Chromatics Body Skin by Phantom Skinz on HTC EVO
Also remember for the summer they have a 30% off sale on these with free shipping, how can u beat that ...
"summersale2010"
http://phantomskinz.com/htcevo4gchromatics.aspx
Can you please link as in where did you purchased this? Can't seem to find it.
Edit: Found it.
The folks at Phantom Skinz saw the review and this is what they stated:
1) The reason that we have a small gap in the side strips is that
the pieces do/can be stretched. They can be stretched to match perfectly.
Go ahead and lift one and try it. If you need to warm it up it will
stretch much easier but you also need to make sure that you don't rip it.
2) The very slim area between the battery cover and the side pieces
are sooooo slim that most people could not align it properly and the pieces
would be so slim/thin that they would peel off over time. With the
pieces that we include and properly installed and heated, nothing should
come off. Different phones have different coverage, some more thorough
than others.
ALso on a side note . yes i did knock the camera off the tripod at the end .. kinda funny so i just left it in ...
Just ordered mine! Woot! Thanks for this!

I usually don't like these kinds of themed decal applications but this one is first rate. Clean as fukc.
just ordered mine
Thanks for postin this, i just ordered it nd thanks for posting the coupon code too
That's for the review. Pick one up today after seeing how it looked on your phone, then after placing order...thought I might should of ordered something with color to go along with some of these ROM's getting made. LoL
It's nice, but not worth $30 IMO. I'll probably cop if the prices goes down to about $10 or $15

It was actually $20.96 for the chromatics body skin, 2 screen protectors, and shipping.
Addition: Order on the 22dn and received them in the mail today (25th). The Chromatic went on well, did take some heating and stretching to get it to cover the entire battery cover and some stretching on the thin strips. Turned out well, though not real found of the texture. The 2 screen protectors they included...don't cover the screen 100%. Will have to do until I can find a nice hard one that does-haven't heard of any yet.
Well I received my package in the mail today and what do ya know, its the carbon fiber skin I ordered! I bought a skin because I highly dislike cases, it always adds bulk and it really peeves me. Took me about half an hour to install it and I think I did a good job. Doesn't quite cover it 100% but i guess its enough.
Pros: Looks amazing
I like the texture
pretty good coverage
Cons: wasn't expensive, but it wasn't cheap either ($20)
Afraid it might peel (will update this in a few weeks)
still kinda slippery, possibility of it falling =\
I apologize for the blurry pics, I will post better ones once my camera is charged.
P.S. I also have a SGP Ultra-Oleophobic screen protector on, best screen protector I have used.
If you want to buy your own: Skinomi Carbon Fiber
SGP Ultra-Oleophobic
Looks quite good. I just wish they would make one that has front and back coverage. Having a cf back but stock front looks like skinomi did a half assed job.

The OP included the link in his first post, but wanted to point out that all of the skinomi skins for the atrix are cheaper on amazon than the actual skinomi site. It's only a few bucks, but might as well save when you can.

That's why I put "The OP included the link" part. Just wanted to specifically point out that it's cheaper on amazon in case someone just googled skinomi and found their site lol. I would have ended up ordering from skinomi if I hadn't checked amazon first (wanted to take advantage of prime for shipping then found out it was cheaper) so I wanted to make sure others were aware.

I have the same thing, since this doesn't affect the car dock. I used the same skinomi carbon fiber kit on my Droid X, doesn't just peel off, you have to peal it off if you want it to come off..
I did use the screen protector that came with the kit, if you have any bubbles or blurs, it will go away within a couple of days.. I had 3 bubbles show up on my screen the next morning after installing, but it went away in 2/days.. I can't even tell I have it on, looks just like it did before I installed the screen protector..

They work fine just like they did for my Captivate too - put a T-shirt over your front buttons and try pressing them, does the same thing!
OP - Looks like "skinomi" charged you $20 for a pre-cut version of what you could have done yourself from an $8 strip from CarbonFiberFilm.com.... but hey, the cuts look good from what I can see in the pics, and it solves the issues people keep asking me about rounding off the corners on the back cover. I didn't do the back cover for a reason, so if you want to, buy this!

Yes I understand I was overcharged, however i do not have the expertise with cutting and probably would have wasted more than $20 worth of di noc

Has anyone picked one of these skins up yet?
I am going to buy one, because I hate having a bulky case on my phone, and wanted to know if anyone had any experience with it yet. If no one has gotten on yet ill post a small review and some pics when I get it.
I ordered one last week and it arrived about 30 minutes after I left town for the week. I'm going to install when I get home this weekend.
ever try skinomi?? ive been using their skins for a while and never had a problem. Their customer service is on point also.

I bought and installed the carbon fiber from skinonmi and I get compliments all the time on it. Easy installation like the zagg, and the screen protector is awesome.

there are some pics I took real quick. Great product, more for looks tho. I def recommend it. I bought this before the phone was even released and it cost me 15 dollars direct from the website. It also comes in a nice air tight tube that can be reused to store anything that you dont want smelling up your car or girls pocket book if you know what I mean...lol.
does the carbon fiber skin feel smooth or does it have a grip-like feel to it?

I am wondering the same thing. I hope it's grippy b/c that's one of the main reasons I ordered a skin.

Well depends on what your view of grippy means. Its a slick feeling skin so it slides around easy, but the only grip you really get is from the grooves or knurling in the pattern. Basicaly to answer the ? best to my ability I would say the skin provides added or great grip on the edges of the phone but for the large area of the back can be a lil Slick.

oh ok. from the design i thought it would have a textured feel to it. sounds like its just smooth with a design like a regular skin would be.
thanks for the info
I can just barley tell that its textured when I touch it.

The screen protector is okay, but it's too big and the edges flake off/peel up.
Have they resolved that yet?

I have no problems with it. I could take a picture of the phone now that its been on for nearly 2 weeks now. its smooth, no blemishes, fits nicely, cut is pretty spot on.....
the only hitch i had was using a generic case, it would peel the edge/corners but I quickly got rid of that case and got another, even now you cant tell the other case peeled it up, the skin has the same finish and look on all parts of it.
I feel like a salesperson for XtremeGuards, I am that happy with it.

+1 on that...
the cut out is perfect..not sure what the other member meant. as long as it doesnt go OVER the edge then it shouldnt have a problem with peeling...
also worth mentioning is that their customer service is REALLY good. mine came and they missed the back piece. emailed them, got back to me within a day and had the replacement mailed already. to my surprise when it came they also threw in an extra front piece.
thanks
Will these work well with a Diztronic/tight tpu case? the Skinomi techskins get lifted..

did you look at how to install it before you bought it? I mean at such a inexpensive price I can easily see why someone wouldnt look at the installation instructions, but curious if you did.
Does this screen protector cover the whole screen like spg and could you include pic as well

Fantastic deal
I wish I didn't pull the trigger on the Zagg so fast, even at 50% off it was still $16.00 --- and then BOOM immediately after a couple of competing products for less... This one is PENNIES...
Fantastic find....... But I already bought the Zagg sheild.
Actually picked one up for my S3 already but like the one that I put on first. So I got another one plus one for my Tab 10.1. Five bucks total with free shippng. Hell of a deal. Figure I'll put one on the Tab first to see if it's worth yanking the one on my S3 off or not. We'll see!

Yeah, but I'm not quite convinced if I really want to try the skin. Never used a skin before. But on the other side, how bad can an investment of 4€ be?
just ordered me 2 full body ones, cant really moan at £3.50ish ago.
Hope they work
I recall some people complaining that these screen protectors / full body skins didn't fit their devices. (Holes not lining up, a tad too large, etc. etc.) Price looks good to be worth a shot, though. People say these are more rubbery than not.
For anyone looking to pick up anything from here, I just used at (7:50AM 03/20/13) a "75OFF" code to buy 2 of the full body skins for the upcoming One (in the US) and a screen protector for my TF300T for ~$9. Hoping that these skins give a glass like feel instead of the rubbery texture.

surely these will look absolutely terrible on the One?
the one has a matte finish and these will stick out like a sore thumb everywhere except the screen
Just ordered 2 of them £3.50 bargain for fully body protection they have to be nice and clear I think I used them on a s3 mini and they were very good I too normally use bestskinsever but let's see how these pan out I used 75OFF code
Update as soon as anyone gets theirs please try to give a quick review or post pics here thanks.
Coupon Code: 82off2
Fret not, I just ordered 4 full body protection sets (don't even know if I'll be getting the One tho, but for $7.20, I don't care..).
Coupon code: 82off2 will save you 82% if you order more than one =]
$7 is $7. I have lunch for $7. Protecting a beautiful phone for $7 is pretty great imho.
p.s. yep, if I do end up with the One, more power for me, otherwise I'll sell these on a classifieds site for $2-$5 each, and still make a profit =]
EDIT*:
You can still take advantage of the 83% off 3 items or more. Problem was with the code name given earlier.
Code given was: 830ff3, ACTUAL code is: 83off3
Your welcome =] Could have saved myself $0.50, paid w/ paypal and can no longer edit order.
Whatever, life moves on =]
Just ordered 2 (code 82off2) of these myself (full protection) can't go wrong for $3.60 (£2.38!!)
Thanks for the heads up OP.:good:
just ordered a full body one for myself...w00t, if only ordering the phone was that easy =P
Thanks, just ordered 2 screen protectors (I don't need a full body protector since im going to use a case anyway) for 1.8$. Thanks for posting this.
Thanks to OP!
Just ordered a couple of full body protectors. If they dont look to good then hey, its only about £2.45 loss. I paid more than that for screen protectors alone!
Apparently they are just as good as bestskinsever.
Which are good?
Seriously good luck to everyone with this. I've used inivisi shield before on my Nexus One and was worried with the wet application even when the phone was pretty well sealed off. The One, has speaker grilles only stuck on the front so getting water in there you''re screwed lol Good luck though!
