[Q] No option to set SMS conversation limit in Synergy

Hey everyone,
I'm running Synergy RLS1, and have a quick question regarding the SMS/MMS apk. I know on the stock ROM, there's a setting to set a conversation limit that will auto-delete old texts as new texts come in, but it's completely missing in the Synergy ROM.
Unless it's been moved to some obscure settings menu...? I'm thinking flashing a stock 3.0 mms.apk would bring the menu back, but I'm not sure.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Did you ever find your answer, I am interested in the same option. Like you can't find it anywhere. I might have to flash a different ROM as well, I have a few threaded conversations that I restored that are several thousands messages. Not good for performance.

I really like the Synergy - Sense 3.0 interface, I have decided that I will just download an App from the market to delete the messages in batches. There are several that will batch delete text messages, based on several conditions. I like the simple 300 conversation limit, gives me good performance and since I automatically backup my text messages with another App, if I need to reference my messages, I can just log into my Gmail account.
This will allow me to use the Synergy ROM.

[Q] After gingerbread, More than 3 or 4 sms are converted to MMS, how to fix it?

Any fix or app to solve that? I was able to send more than 7 sms attached, like long text without being converted to MMS

when you use handcent there is an option where messages over 3 texts long are converted to MMS, maybe there is something in the settings like that?

Handcent? I already looked in sms options for any options regarding this matter but could not find anything related

Chompsms fc when sending mms

Currently running on galaxy mod rs16 rom.. I'm using chomp instead on the stock asop message app.. So everyone. I try to send a mms on chomp it'll fc on me n give me the option to send the report.. It's annoying I don't wanna use keep switching between 2 apps just to send pictures.. It work fine with the stock app... Anyone had this problem? This also happen to me when I was running synergy rom too

I'm on stock ROM (just rooted/busybox'd) and ChompSMS sends/receives MMS without any FCs. In fact, I only think ChompSMS has FC'd me once or twice in about 9 months.

I had that happen to me a few times. Go into the apps section and force stop chomp, clear the data and then start chomp up again. It worked for me doing it that way

[Q]Re-Install Stock Messaging App

I'm going to start off with some background information. I have been using the SMS app Handcent for a little while now, and it has been giving me a lot of trouble with MMS messages with them not sending nor receiving, whereas the stock messaging app could receive them.
Alright, and now we are into where I screwed up... I read that if you made the stock messaging app a user app and handcent a system app, then the permissions will correct and I would be able to send/receive the MMS messages. However, when I made the stock messaging app a user app, it deleted itself. I figured it wouldn't be so bad after I got handcent to work, but handcent still doesn't receive/send MMS messages, and I have no way of sending/receiving them because the stock messaging app got deleted. So, I was wondering if there was a way to get back my stock messaging app for Android 4.1.2. If anyone could help me fix the handcent thing as well, that would also be greatly appreciated.

Vcards and SMS

I'm on a stock modded ROM s3Rx running aosp messaging app. Whenever someone sends me a Vcard via sms, all I get is the grey cube. I've found that this mostly happens when the sender is an iphone user, anybody else having this issue? And for those who are running the stock messaging app, can you receive Vcards? Please help, this is frustrating. Also, not interested in 3rd party apps like Handcent, chomp, gosms, etc.

So nobody here has ever received a .vcf file via a text message?
