use GSM TOOLKIT
Device Driver installation is getting failed.. I am able to mount though...
Connect to a computer and paste TWRP ou CWM and a ROM.
In last case, reboot to fastboot and flash google image through Galaxy Nexus toolkit.
I am not able to connect to Computer and copy any files to Phone.. But using Toolkit i should be able to push ROM to Phone.. please correct me if i am wrong...

You must flash a google image through nexus toolkit and your problem will be solved.
Nope don`t make it so complicated. Flash a rom + gapps though adb sideload.

Connect to the toolkit and flash a stock image. I had the same problem with you. Flashing stock image is the best option.
So do the following:
1. Download toolkit (mskip) and install drives (if not installed already)
2. Coonect your phone to a pc
3. Enter fastboot mode
4. From the toolkit choose the rom you want to flash
5. then choose the option to flash stock image (option 9 i think)
6. Sit back and relax
7. start rooting your phone again.
GOOD LUCK!:fingers-crossed:
Like most people here I also advice the same solution because this solution saved my friend who was in the same situation as you.
1. Download and install Galaxy Nexus Toolkit to PC
2. Download Galaxy Nexus Stock Factory Image from Google
3. Do the 3 finger boot (power+volume up+volume down) to get into Fastboot mode
4. Plug in phone to Pc
5. Launch Galaxy Nexus toolkit and Select the option that says extract and install stock factory image
New Problem.. My phone restarted and it went to bootloader screen.. now the GSM Tool Kit is saying "Waiting for device"... Now what to be done???
What has this got to do with Development again?
Sorry My Bad... I posted it in wrong section..
I downloaded and installled GSM Tool kit. I downloaded the Google image but when i tried to flash it is booting to bootloader screen but after that Tool kit is saying <waiting for phone>
I pushed the older zip file to sdcard using adb push command and installed it..

First things first. Im a NOOB, got it. I really want to update to 4.0.4 but haven't been able to acomplish via the posts in the developer forums. I so far have downloaded and installed the GN toolkit, and been able to unlock the bootloader. I have tried to boot to CWM Recovery w/o perm flashing it, to install the update, but I can't get it to work, it just hangs. I don't want to root but I tried that as well via the GN toolkit, it fails out as well. I just want to install the Stock 4.0.4. and relock my bootloader, being back to totally stock, w/the most upto date firmware. PLEASE HELP
1. Go to settings -> about phone -> update (I think, my rom has this feature removed) to get the official OTA from Verizon.
2. If you want to use CWM, you will have to permanently flash it over.
3. If an OTA image is available, you could use fastboot to write it to the system, just make sure you backup everything to a second location as it will often wipe your SD.
flashing CWM is very easy.
download the image for the TORO (galaxy nexus CDMA) version of the nexus from http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager
once its downloaded, make sure you are able to use fastboot (should be in the folder for the tool kit)
open a command promt, navigate to the toolkit folder which should have fastboot.exe then type:
fastboot flash recovery cwm-recovery-image-name
let it finish then boot into recovery. this will allow you to flash the 4.0.4 rom.
there is no reason to relock the bootloader and as soon as you boot up, stock recovery will place it self back on the phone since you're not going to root.

Sadly it isn't truely available OTA. These fourms seem to be the only way it is availble. GN toolkit says it can "boot to CWM Revoery withou Permanently flashing it" but like I said it hangs up on me everytime no matter if I try the standard or the touch version.

the GN toolkit has the disc image file "recovery-cwm-5.5.0.4-toro-lte"
what do you mean when you say make sure I can use fast boot. in the folder I found a application that is named "fastboot-toolkit", but when I click it it opens then closes before I can do anything with it.
also typing in the run box, I'm also not having anyluck, can you be more specific as to what you mean, I tried typing in "fastboot flash recovery cwm-recovery-image-name", and "fastboot flash recovery-cwm-5.5.0.4-toro-lte" because I thought that is the name of the file Im tring to flash, correct?
Is there no way to apply this via the stock recovery?

and no, there is no way to apply 4.0.4 via stock recovery that i know of.
Status Update....Phone is unlocked, and connected to Computer via USB Debugging is activatied. It is in Fastboot mode, and I have rebooted and went through the initial setup.
I just installed Java Development Kit because it was "required" for the Android SDK tools install which i am setting up now. This is taking a while....
I have copied the fastboot-windows file into the Android platform-tools folder...
in command prompt I get 'fastboot-windows.exe' is not a recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file
looks like I dont need the .exe, it brought up the a bunch of command options...now what?
okay looks like I got fastboot working, and went back into GN Toolkit and flashed CMW recovery. I was able to boot CWM recovery....now where do I save the update so I can find it? I now have the option to choose zip from SDcard.

you'll want to move the .zip file of the 4.0.4 update to anywhere on the SDcard. basically anywhere you'd download something to from your browser on the phone.
once its there, you'll want to make a backup just in case.
once the backup is complete, you should be able to then install from that zip file and be ok.

You need to install the sdk tools and platform-tools from here http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html install it. See that the fastboot-drivers are correctly installed. Connect your phone (in usb-debugging mode) with the computer with the usb cable. Open cmd and type adb devices, you should see the phone with your serial number. Than type adb reboot-bootloader and you`ll come in fastboot mode. If that`s ok you can flash a google factory image. If you can get out of this mess i advice you to read up and learn some stuff about rooting, flashing etc. Better not do that without even the basic knowledge, and stay away from Odin with this phone!
Just Remove the battery for about 10 minutes, then put the battery back on and go fastboot v+ v- power, get a new cable and use another usb port in your computer to prevent futures failures with odin, in the mean time download the google factory image for your phone, gsm if your phone is gsm these are maguro builds or cdma if your phone its cdma these are toro builds
Thats it

thanks for all.
I had flash rom, root etc, but i don't have deep knowledge.
Just insert the battery appears this picture :
ttp://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61Ro6yAY1lL.jpg
even if I hold down the buttons to go fastboot.
If i connect the phone to PC, odin see device connect.
Starting flash, but stop at "NAND Write Start!".
I do not know what to do :-/
Thats cool go recovery mode only hold down volume - and power, do no use volume +

as soon as i insert the battery, I get the photo that I showed.
No recovery, bootloader ecc.
any key combination always takes me there.
I tried using the command adb devices, but I see no phone
Does odin/computer recognice your phone?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
yes, when i insert telephone appears "Added" in Odin.
But the telephone is not in download mode
Ok so Please get this http://dottech.org/tipsntricks/2153...ows-computer-for-use-with-your-android-phone/
In order to be able to send adb commands to your phone, once you can send commands use this command: adb reboot-recovery
so you can flash your stock image vía odin now with your phone in recovery mode
Or you can download the toolkit use this command adb reboot-fastboot
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1392310
And follow this wich its safer
0-put your phone in fastboot and plug to pc and open toolkit
1- Select your phone version
Meaning android gsm or cdma and its 4.0.1 4.0.2 4.0.3 4.0.4. It does not matter if it custom rom just matter if cdma or gsm and what version of android
2-install drivers if you dont have or if the toolkit does not recognice your phone in the list of attached files
3-once done with recognition use option 8 (donwload/extract/flash google factory inage)
4-Select 1 then if you are gsm go for 5 IMM76I for others get the lastest
5-after that go to the directory you installed the toolkit default is c:\Galaxy Nexus toolkit, open that folder and inside theres another folder called put_google_factory_image_here so the google file you just downloaded put it there, close that Windows and then back to toolkit use option 2 flash google factory image (dont not unzip the downloaded file)
Thats pretty much it
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
yes, adb worked on my pc I used it before this problem.
But now there are no device connected even if I have the phone connected and turn on.
I have already install the Toolkit, i use this to unlock bootloader
If i use adb or fastbook, with the toolkit or without, i receive "device not found"
Thanks
use odin and flash phone and pda but at seperate times...
Thanks, sorry but where i find phone and pda for my galaxy nexus?
I'm don't have deep knowledge to use odin.
Sorry
Thanks
Try this, open toolkit and uninstall drivers, then disconnect the phone and install drivers again, connect the phone when promted, once you pc recognice the phone again use the adb command to go fastboot with adb reboot-fastboot once in fastboot well go to stock following toolkit option 8 procedure

People please stop telling him to Fastboot, he clearly cannot get the device to that point. ODIN is your only bet, use the PDA from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1394051
I tried now but stop at "<ID:0/003> NAND Write Start!!".
I do not know if it helps, but I had Android 4.0.3
Thanks
i have try different times, two pc and different cable.
But flash stuck at "<ID:0/003> NAND Write Start!!".
I had use the option "partition sd card" in cwm, can be a problem?
I have already flashed file pit
Thanks

Not sure.
Here are some suggestions:
1) Lose the toolkit and flash things manually -- it is easier to see where things go wrong if you do things step-by-step yourself.
2) Don't use the touch version of CWM -- I've seen issue with it.
I'll gladly guide you though doing it manually if you cannot figure it out.
Use my sig bud.
As far as the error, I'm not sure what that means.
Doesn't seem like a fastboot error...but rather something the toolkit is displaying.
Possibly missing the .img? Try redownloading it.

no, it on the phone, right on bottom of bootloader screen, not in toolkit.
this is why people shouldn't use toolkits.
try to remove battery for a few mins, plug it back it, 3bc to bootloader.

It is disappearing because there are two files placed on your system by an OTA update. You need to delete the two files and re-flash your custom recovery. The two files are:
/system/recovery-from-boot.p
/system/etc/install-recovery.sh

Nope. No problems. Those files don't exist on a stock rom. Ota updates place them there.
Use a file explorer with root access, or via adb.

This is why I always recommend to uninstall all old drivers and use 1wayjonny's naked drivers. The are far better than anything else, and you don't have to install third-party software like pdanet just to get drivers.

Well, here's a suggestion;
Try to stay calm, and not to freak, when freaking, people temt to make things worse, by flashing unneccessary stuff, downloadig programs, etc. ...
Try to flash things manually, first bootloader, radio, boot, system then recovery.
If you still get the error code, try using Odin mode.
Worse-case scenario: You maybe need to JTAG it. But that is only in WORST-CASE!
You could also contact Google, see if they know what to do (Which they probably would, because they wrote the program/s)

The driver has to install twice - once when your device is booted normally, and once when your device is booted in fastboot mode. But before you install, you have to remove the previous drivers, both in fastboot mode and in normal boot.
Uninstall all old drivers
1) Open Device Manager on you PC;
2) Plug your phone to your PC (when your device is booted normally);
3) Make sure that (on your phone), that you have USB Debugging enabled in Settings;
4) Uninstall anything you see in device manager related to Android, by right-clicking on whatever the item is and clicking uninstall;
5) Unplug your phone;
6) Reboot your phone in fastboot mode;
7) Plug your phone to your PC;
8) Uninstall anything you see in device manager related to Android, by right-clicking on whatever the item is and clicking uninstall;
9) Reboot your PC;
Install 1wayjonny's drivers
1) Open Device Manager on you PC;
2) Plug your phone to your PC (when your device is booted normally);
3) Make sure that (on your phone), that you have USB Debugging enabled in Settings;
4) You may see a prompt to install drivers. If you do, select manual install (or whatever the option is called) and navigate to the folder where you extracted 1wayjonny's drivers and select the file (can't remember the name off-hand);
5) Unplug your phone;
6) Reboot your phone in fastboot mode;

I was trying to install a new rom but I wanted to reformat my sdcard first. I planned on reformatting, mounting the sdcard so my pc would pick it up, moving the rom I chose to the freshly formatted sdcard, then flashing the rom. I started by doing a full wipe of everything, then wiped the internal sdcard. The problem is when I try to mount the sdcard to transfer files nothing happens. I tried doing a restore using odin but it gets stuck at setup connection. Is there anything else I can do or is it completely bricked?

I'm not the guy who can tell you what you need to do, but I will tell you that I have read other posts by people in your position. Have you installed adb drivers? You probably should have done this already, unless you used a toolkit to unlock and root...
To install drivers, download the naked driver located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20058157&postcount=1
Then, follow this guide to install them correctly.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29044502&postcount=735
If they are set up correctly you will be able to push the rom to your internal storage booted in recovery with adb. A list of adb commands is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1812959
If you aren't comfortable with that I recommend that you flash the stock images to your phone with fastboot following this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1626895
This should be all the info you need. I'll be around to answer questions you may have. Just post them here.

However, If you follow what I posted in post #7 I will help you though the process as long as it takes.

OK. I'm not sure if you can install the driver without debugging activated. But, I know you can install the fastboot driver when booted in the bootloader because I have done it.
1) Boot into the bootloader. (power + vol. up and down)
2) Connect to your pc
3) Open your device manager and you should see "android 1.0"
4) Right click on that and choose update driver.
5) Choose install from my computer and then install the naked driver.
6) Click done and then it should show Galaxy Nexus Bootloader Interface.
You will now be ready to flash the stock google image. Follow this guide.
You'll be up and running again. You can then flash a custom recovery and ROM if you so choose. OR just roll with stock.

Because you're not supposed to open up adb by double clicking on it.
You're supposed to navigate to the location where it is using CMD and do commands from there.

I have a problem with my galaxy nexus. Last week, I tried to install Cyanogenmod. First I downloaded cm-10.1.2-maguro.zip and save in /. After that I wipe my stock ROM. Unfortunately after wiping my zip file also gone. Now the problem is i can enter recovery mode with TWRP 2.6. When I connect my phone with recovery mode, in my PC(Windows 7 64 bits) device manager, MTP USB device is failed. So I can't see the drive letter of my phone in my computer. When I connect without battery, OMPA 4440 driver installation is failed.
Is there a way to install Cyanogenmod in my phone?
PS. After buying galaxy nexus i just use as a normal user.
Adb push ROM/gapps and flash via recovery, if you don't know Google it.. Or fastboot the factory image, if you don't know how read efrants sticky that's in the general section
PS- after "fixing" your phone read and understand how to flash ROMs before trying again

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Thanks Khizar.
I already solved, now I successful installed CM10.1.2. I used adb push romname.zip /sdcard/
