I'm having problems connect to the data network, i can make calls i didnt have this problem untill today, was flashing couple roms from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1432425 and install SSROM-Stock sense... notice the data network wasnt working, so i made a nandroid backup and restored it and still get a message to turn on wifi because data network still down web, market dosnt work and says to use wifi insted if anyone can help me and point me to the right direction to make my data network working again.... thanx
all these views and no advise? I called customer support they couldn't even help me with the issue...did a factory reset, re-active the phone, I went back to the mertropcs stock rom...i did something by flashing different roms......and now im lost what to do...with no data or picture messaging!!! please help again! again everything else works!
did you try settings/wireless & settings/ mobile networks / data enabled (tick)
its stupid but .... ?
yeah that was one of the first things i checked, turn it OFF/ON, below Mobile Networks, it say Disconnect becuase server is unavailable. Also when i did a phone test using the dial pad *#*#4636#*#* /phone info Neighboring CID: unknown, says GSM is in service and the GPRS service: say connecting...so idk what else to do besides trying to return the phone.
maybe u need to change setting for your network if you changed sim cards recently, or you just rooted it so it lost the info for connect ?
Metropcs dosnt use a sim card for my wildfire s, if i lost my setting i wouldnt be able to call or text, correct me if im wrong, anyone else have any other ideas??

Hi Rob,
I am having the same issue in this thread. I can receive text when connected via wireless network, but not when I am on the metropcs data connection. Since restoring my phone, I have had this problem. I didn't see your solution to the OP, so I am asking if you can please help me out as well. Thank in advance!
Gary
Can't post the link, but there's a thread for getting your metro data back on androidforums wfs root forum. It's also gone over in insinks metro Rom thread, page 3 I think. Be mindful, don't just flash any Rom you come across unless you're willing to get your hands dirty.

Hey guys!
The idea is that ,by mistake i flashed a s4 modem on my note2 (my wifi was not working and i thought the problem is the modem and i found another modem but i didn't pay attention to the title).
Now my note 2 says that it isn't registered in network
I tried flashing a modem but no succes. Wifi is now working( i installed another rom -allianceRom) and i tried to go to settings-mobile data-network operator(last option .don't know how to translate) and register manually in a network but that was unsuccesful again...
I mention that my phone is from Romania and the network was COSMOTE
I don't have any efs backup as well..don't know where are them. I remember i saw 3 of them in a folder when surfing trough storage but i can't find them now...
What can i do ? I need my phone

Once you've seen them. They must be in your phone. Use a root explorer and find them. Read my thread '(GUIDE) EFS/....'

Inthat case, try the apk named GSII_REPAIR. It's a very small app. But hope it work for. It repairs corrupted efs. Google it.it's free on playstore, though it's for gs2 but for some people it also worked for note2

No other, you have to restock now, use mskip toolkit. Before that, download latest firmware. Best of luck.

I had my phone working fine on 2.3.6, but I have recently flashed my ROM.
I followed these EXACT instructions (http://www.lorenzobettini.it/2013/08/update-samsung-galaxy-wonder-i8150-to-android-jelly-bean/) and afterwards, I couldn't see Virgin Mobile UK as a Network Operator to connect to. So I can only use WiFi. (However, I saw T-Mobile, Orange, Vodafone and Three. It automatically connected me to T-Mobile, but nothing worked)
I thought it may be a problem with the ROM, so I used the Stable release of this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2120340 ... I have the same problem.
I've now tried a third: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2401757 ... still doesn't work.
It can't be the ROMs... Could I need to upgrade my baseband? I don't really know what a baseband is, just what hours of Googling has brought up.
How can I fix this?

In guessing your using stock kit kat. What build? Maybe try a factory reset... but that will wipe your phone. Or try flashing the stock image from Sam mobile. This hasn't wiped my phone from trying myself. Maybe try doing this without the sim card installed as when you leave it in when running phone thru setup wizards automatically determines your sim speed. Only ideas as in no expert.

Stock image. One of these "firmware" that best matches your phone and operator.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/GT-I9195/
Are you using an unlocked version of the phone? Did you try without the sim card inserted when factory reseting?
If you use a firmware you will need a computer with Samsung drivers and odin installed. There are guides for using odin all over xda and Google.
Try maybe updating your software from the phone using the update option hidden in you "about phone" settings first.
Also last thought. Are your APN settings correct with your operator and on the phone?
