Hi. I recently shifted from 3 years of iphone using to samsung galaxy note 2. I love tis device. And to make it more better want to root it. I dont hv any clue in hw to go for it. Thr r several diff methods n videos online to do it but cannot figure out which one is the simplest and bedt method.
Please share a link to do so. And also please help me with what is d next step after rooting to boost up the phone and essential or imp nust hv apps or settings to mke device work at its best.
Ps i dont want to compromise my battery life, and wud like to knw if rooting cn help me increase it in neways.

Please i know that somewhere in this web of forums their must be a wise and helpfull way of upgrading the samsung galaxy tap p1000 to either an cynogenmod or to honeycomb/icecreamsandwitch
If look around for a while now and im unable to find any straight forward explanation in doing so

Does anyone know how to do such upgrade or to explain such process in detail or even direct me to such forum and probably most important if such upgrade is available
I am having issues with my tab,mostly it crashing or sometimes freezes for a while. Bought it about 3months ago with gingerbread preinstalled by samsung
I know that with my htc wildfire by rooting it and installing cynogenmod it helped it not crash and also improved with possibilities and speed
I want to do the same with my gt-p1000 but its still under warranty so want to be sure there is a root and mod upgrade that works so that i wont loose my warranty for incase.
Please if someone could advise

Can anyone recommend a fast, pretty and stable rom? Have clockwork mod on it running Gingerbread 2.3.3 + kernel 2.6.35.7?
All help appreciated. I don't think it is rooted fully as Titanium can't get root.

I WANNA know that how to make use of chainfire 3D.. i dont know bout rooting and all that stuff.. although my android version is 4.0.4.. it cant play some games life nfs most wanted, avengers etc..! So anybody plz help me...

You dont need chainfire 3D or root access to play games on S2. nfs mw and most of other HD games run smoothly on stock roms

Dude instead of using chainfire 3d, You can root your phone and install an awesome rom! Your phone will then become much better and trust me its an easy task. It just needs a little bit of work but remember to read through everything.

For a first timer I would recommend something more stable like 4.0.4 instead of jb leak. You could try chameleon 2.1. It's really fast and stable.

DONT FLASH ANY ROMS FROM THIS FORUM. You have a s2X which my father has and it has its own forum in the tmobile samsung galaxy s2 ht989. Flashing any rom here will **** up ur phone

im looking 4ward 2 root my note2 GT-N7100 international version...lately ive come 2 know that rooting modifies the ui of the device but the thing is i jus want 2 root it 2 gain administrative rights & not 2 change the default ui as i lik the deafult one so how should i do that???

I just wondered what a custom rom on the note 2 lte has that a stock rom dosnt and ive had phone before like the optimus 3d and xperia play where when u flash a rom u lose feature like 3d on the optimus and the playstation features on the xperia play I wondered if I wouldnt be able use any of the notes features

If you don't want to lose any of Samsung futures keep Away from aosp and aokp roms

kernel : testing
modem : XXDLK7
recovery : TWRP
Use touchwiz based ROMs, stay away from AOSP and AOKP if you want Samsung features like S Note and other stuff.
Use any 4.1.2 (i.e. touchwiz) ROMs and you should be fine with S features.

Nope. If you're a root/custom ROM user, don't. Knox is gonna mess with your life if u do. (Unless your phone came with 4.3 outta the box.

As you can read from the above it all depends what user you are. If you need a new ROM every day: leave it as it is. For a plain vanilla user, that's me, there is nothing mind-throwing in 4.3.
For the last case, why don't you just use it for a couple of days, read around on GNote 2 with 4.3 a bit and then decide if you want it?
