LED Notification. What app is causing it to blink? - LG Optimus G (International)

Does anyone know if there is a way to check what app is causing the LED notification to blink? I've literally checked every single app and it's still blinking.

Go into settings/display/notification flash.

That just shows the apps that can cause it to blink though. I was literally opening and closing every single app just to get the LED to stop blinking, because I had already checked the usual suspects such as Whatsapp, SMS, etc.

I got the app and it definitely works.
Its great, get it !
Thanks guys !
Yeah I use Led Me Know too. You can choose if you want the trackpad to blink, or the LED at the top of the phone.
Add [SOLVED] to your thread title please.

I got my Z a couple of weeks ago and my phone seems to do this straight out of the box??
eg - I get a txt and the trackpad light blinks. If I have a missed call the the LED at the top of the phone flashes.
Although, I was going to ask the question to see if I can get the LED to blink when I receive a txt because sometimes you cant always see the track pad flashing depending how the light is hitting the phone (if its laying flat for example).
I will also try the suggested app
Yea.. my G2's trackpad ring just slowly pulses if there's a new notification.
I believe the app causes the led to blink more frequently.

I tried led me know but it didn't do anything, on my rooted phone , any suggestions?
When I test the app, it makes the green led blink, but when the actual whatsapp message or an sms arrives, no blinky light

I know this is a silly question but do you have it enabled?

Yeah I actually though the stock trackpad notification on my phone (DZ) didn't work. But I found it was actually blinking every 10 secs or slow - which is too slow for me to have a quick glance at the phone to see if I've got messages.
Also, I have my phone in a vertical pouch, with the power button at the opening. So with Led Me Know and the LED notification set, I only have to pull the very top bit of the phone out of the pouch to check the LED.

Indeed, make sure it's on. Also, there's a "test" option within the app to let you see what it's going to do when it gets a notification.
If it's still not working, try removing the app and reinstalling it again.

LED continues to flash on sleep mode, Light Flow installed?

I have light flow, and when my screen shuts off, the LED light keeps blinking (white.) Any idea how to make this stop?

Well... my solution was to uninstall it.
Basically I found that while Light Flow was pretty neat, I was getting quite a few random notifications (i.e. LED flashing but no notifications in the bar) that would only stop after rebooting.
Eventually I got fed up with it and removed the app. Shame.

Hey, I would try clearing the apps data or a reinstall to see if that fixes it. I am using it the past two months and never had an issue. Good luck.
Check your lightflow notification settings and see which notification is set to flash white. If it's SMS or email, make sure that you don't just clear the notifications by just swiping it off the drop down menu but actually go into the apps and mark them as read. Otherwise lightflow will still detect them as unread and notify you.
If none of the notifications are set to flash white then you might have not set lightflow up properly. Go to your accessibility settings and make sure that lightflow is enabled. If that doesn't fix it uninstall and reinstall the app.

Never had any issues with Light Flow, but don't use sleep mode as an LED blinking when on charge isn't going to wake me up (AudioGuru mutes sound on sleep profile, mind)
Ultimately if you're having issues get in touch with the developer as only they can fix the issue
Disable the notifications for anything that is set to use the White color. It should solve the problem. You most likely have the notification set to only clear when you enter the application. I personally prefer to clear it when my screen turns on because if my screen has turned on, then I have already "checked" the notification and don't need that light continuously flashing.
Phantom notifications has long been an android problem. Its not light flow specific

LED notification

So, I sold my Nexus S and bought a Galaxy Nexus today. I cannot seem to figure out exactly how the LED works. It doesn't seem to work reliably for all notifications.
Can someone please explain how the LED system works and also if you can customize the colors per app/person
Light flow from the Market...
I second light flow. It gets hung up sometimes and still glows after I viewed the message or call. But stock notifications never worked right.

I like the setting for it to clear the led when you turn on the screen. I don't think it's ever hung up on me that way.

On stock there doesn't seem to be a way to adjust the notification light, without the aid of an external application. In saying this though, I haven't been able to work out the rate/times it blinks as sometimes it seems to double blink then sleep for a longer period then blink at a normal pace.
I only really have text messages come through with the odd call, so I couldn't verify the other notifications.

I wish stock was able to dosimple mods to led notification like colour and interval. I dont like tonnes of apps to run in the background all the time.

This is such an obvious improvement I would be astonished if it did not show up in one of the next ICS updates.

Yeah its the only way LightFlow can work without false positives it seems.
And the GNex has a ton of RAM. Having a 7mb app in cached background is am issue?! The RAM is on anyway, you might as well use it.
I think both stock notification and light flow are far from being perfect. Both failed on various occasions, the former more than the latter. Therefore, I think there is room for a new app to accurately control LED notifications on the Galaxy Nexus. I would pay even 10 - 15 euros for such an app.

Shame that setting isn't global
Using Light Flow Lite also. My tip is to just use it to manage the LED, don't use it to manage sounds/vibrates unless you feel like being really anal about your notifications. I found when setting it up that I got a lot of double notifies and crap that I didn't want. Just my 2c.

Light flow makes led after sms stay on

Even after clearing the text message, light flow keeps the led on after I turn the screen off. I've seen this on other types of notifications as well. Anyone else have this issue? I'm using the latest light flow.

Anyone else notice that the feature to turn off LED lights in Blocked mode check box is missing.
Is there a way to do this now besides manually turning off LED notifications every night?
