Album(android 4.0) no get data on SD card - Xperia Arc Accessories

Hi everybody..! My Arc S use Android 4.0 (rom cook Jelly Sanwich and Ultimate HD 2.3) very fast and smooth but when i copy my data on computer (image/video) to my phone success but after disconnect,app album and moive on my phone not found to image and video I just copied.. when i use root explore found this still find it in SD card and open by album and moive application ok but when exit and open album/moive i do not see.. on 2 rom cook I have an error that..
I tried to clear data,cache app album but still error and not see
Everybody who know how to fix it please show me.. tks you very much much..

Well try rebooting your phone or unmount then mount sdcard. This should trigger android media scanner so it will search your memory card for media files. If it wont help then google some app that triggers media scanner there are many of them. Remember to wait few minutes for a scan to complete. Oh and you should start by formatting your memory card.

You can do what pypcier said, which does work, but you can also download a root app called Rescan Media Root which trippers the media scanner without unmounting the SD card.

[Q] CM7 and gallery

I've installed the cyanogenmod beta rom on my defy. It works great, very fast and customizable... but since first boot I have randomly some problem with default gallery. Somethimes when I open the app, I get an error (sd not mounted) and it doesn't start if I don't reboot... Also if I try to use camera (after I try to open gallery) I get the same error. Rarelly default music player give me similar error. But with third part app I can access to both gallery and camera... for example with QuickPick I can view all the images on my sd and with CameraFX I can use camera without any problem...
Anyone gets this error? How I can solve? Wipe can help me? I try to format SD and to pass other images and songs but nothing changes...

You could try to wipe the data of the gallery (not the actual pictures/videos). It's somewhere in Settings -> Apps -> Manage apps (something like this). There you can select gallery and then something like wipe data (I don't know the english translation that's used on CM7).

I uninstall gallery with a root app manager, install a 3D gallery from market... for now seems that works...

ok gallery and camera don't work, I try also to wipe only camera and gallery data, but I don't solve...

try to backup your SD card on computer then format your SD card
It could be an error on the SD Card - format using FAT32 system if it`s the original 2GB

I've already tried this solution but doesn't work, I use an AData Class 6 8 gb...
moreover another defy of my friends gives to him similar problem with this rom (this defy crash randomly during video recording and in gallery)
also beta6 doesn't help me

I have the exact same problem gotta reboot the phone everytime this happens anyone found a fix yet thanks

The sd card error lies with the 3d gallery. Use titanium backup to remove it and use quickpic - a far better app anyway.

Hi guys..dhd users..i need some help here..
Dhd details:
Stock room still virgin..never rooted..currently on latest sense 3.0 android version 2.3.5..sofare number 3.13.707.4
in past week until now, i hava faced problem in dhd gallery..the problem listed as below:
a) i can open the gallery...but i cant scroll down to see another folder..everytime i scroll down it will automaticly go to the top..same goes when i open the folder..i cant scroll down to the pictures below..as it always go to top..this problems bother me as i cant view the pictures..
b) when i open any pictures via gallery..normal thing is once i tap it will show 5 icon below of the pictures..such as share..delete and etc..but mine..when i tap..the icon only pop up and then goes missing again..so it hard for me to use the sharing function..
because of the problem i need to use third party app to view my pic gallery..but what i used now lack of sharing function to social network...
What i had tried but failed.. :
a) soft reset : pull out battery, sim, sd card..
b) uninstall some apps that related to gallery such as gallery lock pro..but the problem still persist..
c) scan and find sd card using market apps..
d) scan my phone using lookout mobile security..but found nothing affected..
e) clear data in gallery apps.
I assume my stock app gallery got bug..but i dont know how to confirm it..is it a way i can resintall htc gallery apps?
P/s: i dont want to root or custom rom..i also dont want to factory setting as i dont want to lose all my data..im still in love in sense and prefer to stick with stock rom..

I did it several times but the problem still exist..thanks..

Maybe your SD card is messed up. That leads to problems with gallery and music apps sometimes. Connect your phone to your computer in disk drive mode, copy everything on the SD card to your computer, format your SD card to fat32 with 32KB cluster (if you use Windows, uncheck quick format and let it do the slow full format) , then copy everything back from your computer to the SD card. Delete the .thumbnails folder in DCIM.
Clear data of gallery again and see if the problem still happens.

[Help]Apps form SD are unloadable(unreachable)

Hello to all!
At last few days, my phone start bugging.. First and biggest problem is that, all apps from SD card are unreachable( cant be loaded, but they are installed).. Also, other files are available on SD card.. Can preview pics, listen music, etc.. Also, few days before this problem, phone didnt open any pic and failed to load any video.. I dont know what I did, but that problem is gone..
Phone is rooted, and worked fine till now..
I must notice that this is happen after SD defragmentation.. Maybe I'm wrong, but that is last app I installed before problem..
Please, give me some options becouse I have alot apps installed and moved to SD.

If you have apks than try to install them again.
If you don't have apks
Than u can find your installed apks here
just open any file manager
Go to
MNT>ASEC
just copy them
To sdcard and reinstall

Your SD card has gone kaput. Try scan and fix through Windows. If it fixed, even then you may have to install apps again.

I have apps on application menager, but icon is like unmounted SD card..
Also, I tried to defrag by PC, scan with NOD32, and nothing..
I have good progress in games, so it would be a pity to play them again.. Btw, if that is only way, I dont have to choose..

Guys, if someone can post me some good file menager with which I can see and "backup" list of apps and apps.. I have installed Kies, but they dont have ability for that..

Mi File Manager will do the trick fro you. All you need is root on your phone.

Again, try saving the game folder on your PC and restoring after fresh install. It should work.

I tried today Mi File Explorer, and in APKs, I dont have all installed games.. Only few... Maybe I need to setup something?

Mi File Explorer shows the APK installer file and not the installed APKs. So if you need to backup your installed APK, then installed Airdroid first and then from web interface, select the games files you need to backup and you're done.

I tried to connect to Airdroid, but still no apps.. There are not on System apps too..
I also tried to format MMS, but nothing...

Ok, I downloaded a Root Browser Lite and in phone memory(I think, its first what I see when I open the app) in folder Data>data, I found app folders.. U can see in attachments.. What should I do now?

Restore XTXperience after installing CM10

i installed xtxperience 9 and backup it.
and then i install CM10 and take so many picture with it.
after i restore my phone into XTXperience again, the album not showing my pictures that i captured by CM10
i do format cache and dalvik, still not working
and it happen to music too

Maybe you need to force your phone to do a full media scan. It can take a while if you have lots of pics/vids... My Xperia acro S did a full media scan for 15-30mins because I have lots of stuff inside my 32GB external card.
I think you can do this by wipnig data/cache of Media Storage on Apps>All
or get a 3rd party app from Google Play in order to have a full media rescan

if you can still find them in your sdcard, flash stock rom then if still there, flash xtx rom.

Clear data from Album app, then reboot and let the phone read all the contents on storage, just don't use it for like 5 minutes and then check again your album. Btw, if you have your phone connected via USB while rebooting, disconnect it, that causes problems at reading all the files too.
