taken how to force all cpus online - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

Greetings, I was wondering how to force all my cpus online, I am on jedi xx and when I look at system tuner pro it says that only two of my four cpus are online and when I attempt to force them all online, it reverts back to that state. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

[Q] Riptide GP on Chainfire 3d

Hello,
Long time lurker, first time poster here. I recently switched from the Evo 4g to the Epic 4g touch after a year of proud ownership.
Cutting to the chase, I am unable to get past the rider select for Riptide GP using Chainfire 3d (latest version and PRO from marketplace). I am running starburst rom, on stock I cannot even get it to boot the game whatsoever and Chainfire in general doesn't seem to play nice with stock (the app, not the developer)
Has anyone had success in getting this game to work with this exact device? I also have the shaders installed as well as the plugins, so I didn't make a careless mistake. If you are able to run the game please, shed some light on the solution for me. Thank you
Try changing both per-app and default opengl settings to nvidia. And make sure you have the version 2 of the riptide shader file installed.
Riptide file shader?

Do i need chainfire 3d pro to set opengl to nvida
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Can someone walk me through this process
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
no... u need to first download and install 3 pluggins one being the nvida. only then, u can set the default opengl to nvidia.
u need to download the following plugins including the shader zip file i posted above. move all 4 files to root of your sdcard.
launch chainfire3d and click on install plugins/shaders. after a brief search, you should see all four files listed. click individual files to install all four.
once you have them installed, you should be able to change the default opengl settings to nvidia. enjoy!

Thank you for your gracious replies, I have followed advice on trying to set default to Nvidia as well. I am also using the updated shaders as advised. I still have it crash back to Chainfire at rider selection. Anyone have any other ideas as to what this could be caused by? I have also tried it with ViperRom just now, same issue. Thank you kindly
have you configured per-app opengl settings as well? i actually had to set both default and per-app opengl settings to nvidia to get pass the rider screen.
once you set the default to nvida, click on per-app opengl settings and select riptide to change it's opengl settings to nvidia.
if that doesn't work for you then try uninstalling shader file from chainfire3d and reinstall. (launch chainfire3d->manage plugins/shaders->click com.vectorunit.blue)

Nope, have the same. tried V1 and V2, both same thing, almost loads but then just exits. Maybe its the ROM.
Mine goes to load after selecting course/rider and goes back to the home screen. Using stock deodex rom with AIOmod.
Not sure whats up with this, got Shadowgun to work.
umm... not sure why but Market says "chainfire3d is not supported for my device" (epic touch) am i missing something here?
Edit 10/31
Found out the problem, had something to do with the LCD Density. Was running at 200 and that cause the problems with the market. Change to 160 and all is smooth!
Latest update fixed it for me, works great!

MLT disable

So I was cruising around the hidden menus of my phone and came across a "MLT hidden menu". Curious as to what this was, I did a quick search and found a few threads relating to it. Apparently, this is a sort of snooper apk for LG that logs GPS, calls, apps, etc. and many people have found that disabling MLT boosts their free RAM and essentially helps performance.
Here is the main thread about MLT from Dexter_nlb in the Optimus 4X HD section:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2187920
To disable it, go to your hidden menu by dialing 3845#*970#, scroll down to the bottom of the menu and click MLT, then uncheck "Enable - MLT will run after booting." Reboot and you're good to go. I don't know how much this will help performance (or if it even does) since our device has 2 gigs of RAM but for those that don't like companies tracking your every move this may be useful.
*As a side note, benmatlock's list of erasable application states this should not be erased so I wouldn't go and delete the APK and please don't hold me responsible if something bad happens because of this.

Quadrant Standard edition hits right about the 7K mark on Lifeless V14, after disabling MLT, jumped up a bit hitting about 7.6K on the same full benchmark test. I'm curious to see other results.

I just reenabled MLT, rebooted, let it sit, then ran a few quadrant benchmarks (I'm on lifeless 14 as well). The first pic is the result most near the average I got was right around 7000 as you said (ranging from ~6400 - 7700). After disabling it again I have yet to hit below 7800 and just about hit 8000. That's almost a 15% increase in performance... pretty crazy that it was taking up that much CPU the whole time.
Just switched the governor to performance (I'm on the stock kernel). 8111 is the highest benchmark I've ever seen on this phone.
This has merit. Running lifeless 14 and liberty 1.18 on stock settings. Regular benchmarks near 8k and 100+mb of RAM freed up. Though it could be placebo effect, phone seems snappier. Do we know what MLT ACTUALLY does?

apprently after searching the other LG threads here MLT, is a service in charge app and memory management. apprently many others have disabled it with no ill effects.

Shouldn't work any differently than a rooted device.
Can't tell if my phone is really running faster or not, but the system monitor shows close to 200mb of ram freed up after disabling.
So far no ill effects showing.
I'm running a stock rom, rooted, some bloat cleaned off and Apex launcher instead of the stock LG launcher.
Stock rooted and locked. No issues here either. Maybe a little more RAM.

[APP] [4.2] [ROOT & No ROOT] [Launcher] SOS Ultra Power Saver Launcher

I would like to share my app with you. I can share the app with one person to test the app for me on Moto G. Please send me a PM
The app link on the playstore is https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.webzler.soslauncher
Description
This is a homescreen replacement that has an Ultra Power Saving Mode for your phone to help you extend battery life when you are running out of charge. This launcher allows up-to 4 apps on the home-screen.
What this app does:
1. Kills all running apps and services.
2. Disables WiFi, Data.
3. Shows Missed Calls and Missed Messages.
Ultra Power Saving Mode:
4. OLED Mode for AMOLED devices.
5. Changes governor to Powersave mode. (requires ROOT Access)
6. Disables 2 cores of a Quad core phone. (requires ROOT Access)
7. Reboot during exit. (requires ROOT Access)
When your phone goes below 15% battery, the app shows alert to clear the defaults for your current launcher. After clearing, set SOS Launcher as the default homescreen, and the app would take care of the battery. Once you quit the app, it would clear itself as the default launcher and you can start using your favorite launcher back.
I will surely give it a try
Thanks for sharing, will give a try too

same request here! tho it would be nicer, if there would only be the "amoled to oled" option/app; the other options are easy to change for me on cm

Sounds like a Novel Idea. I definitely see some great Potential here. FWIW, Launchers with small footprint would be a great place to save Battery. This is why even today [APP] Zeam Launcher has lots of takers. Perhaps you can take that code as your baseline since the project is closed.
Two points I see as potential issues.
You can't Kill all the apps to save Battery. This is not Windoz and it doesn't work that way. You will chew up more battery as the apps initiate a new session. There are way too many discussions around XDA on Task Killers. Suffice it to say that OOM RE-Prioritization is a better way.
Shutting down core and changing Governors is a splendid idea. But that would actually assume the kernel in question actually supports that governor and has HotPlugging enabled ? On that note, Frequency throttling might be an idea.
Please can someone just attach the APK file?

Sorry but I am not as educated as you are on these options,. Example: how do I check the background load and what is considered a normal range. Which developer options should I be looking at. I only have debugging enabled and only allowing 2 background apps to be running at a time. As I type this reply the app Cooltool is showing that my CPU% is between 61% and 97% and I have approximately 400 to 300MB of memory.

There is a app process or service keeping your load high.
You can track it down by using that same cool tool app.

Thanks for your help. With your suggestions I found them and now running much much better.
On another topic I noticed you have done some custom developing for the SM-T800. I have rooted all of my previous tablets but not this one because I know that it will be updating to Lollipop shortly and I want to update first. Will you be doing any custom developing for Lollipop?

Sudden repetitive sluggishness & unresponsiveness - who's the culprit

Hello guys, recently I am facing very long app installation time (even smaller apps) as well as sometimes screen unresponsiveness at that time in my G4. but I don't know why it's happening. it was fast & smooth before. I am using rooted 10E EUR on my H815T. and yes, I have quite a few xposed mods installed and installed apps r also quite high.
So can someone guide me to find out the culprit here?
Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry that this is going to sound like a bit vague, but I don't know how else to articulate it: if it's common, turn on debug and use one of the various error analysis apps to see what is pulling processor memory/causing the kernel to focus on two vs three cores, or because of apps specific to you.
That's what I did, but mine was specific to my phone: it wasn't the xposed modules that were the culprit, though like you beforehand I thought it was most likely. I wish I knew more about the 6 processor layout for the g4...I'm used to how Samsung dealt with 4/8 core.
