Hi guys I have a very good news to all the GN users..Well i was searching in the XDA forum and found that we can use the PIE function via this app which can be found in PA ROM and also several custom rom..The good news is this app is a standalone app together with gesture which i would like to share..I'm only sharing this app..HIT THANKS if you find it useful..I've tried it and its awesome...

misleading title... thats lmt not PIE and almost everyone already knows about it...plus PIE is being added to many roms anyway
Not exactly Pie
LMT is the base of Pie, it's a bit different. Yo can get the original in PA rom, also other roms got it now.

Yes it is true you can get in roms but how many roms do they have pie..Some prefer using a near stock custom rom. So this app should be adequate for them..I'm just helping and not everyone knows LMT app. This thread is just a mere redirection to the main app.

I think both are actually based off pie controls in the stock browser. I read that in one of the threads, somewhere. Even though lmt was started before PA pie, PA devs have said they were unaware of lmt when they started working on their pie. So each were started as the "only" pie control interface, as far as they were aware. To be fair, lmt didn't really take off in number of users or features until PA's pie got users' interest piqued.
I use LMT myself and have used PA's pie also. Both are excellent with their own benefits. LMT is far more customizable, but there is some delay to some functions on LMT that isn't present on PA. Both devs have done amazing work though, IMO.

I just flashed this ROM today... and I'm still playing around with it... but is it missing the Voice software that my stock came with? (Voice instructions... Driving mode... Ect)... I installed the Google files suggested...
Also, I'm not seeing Swipe at all...
Swype isn't there, I just signed up for the Swype Beta and got it back...the keyboard on this version of Swype is actually preferable to stock imo
Awesome!! Thanx so much for the quick reply...
Cm will be missing alot of extras that came with our phone... but extra customization features that didn't..
Personally I like touchwiz and tw framework apps like the camera and mms app so I stick with roms based of stock.. still fast and look great..
That is till miui drops

Is this your first time using CM? It's the most barebones rom you can get, there won't be any extra software installed like on other roms. It's basically just the core files needed for the phone to operate plus some tweaks & customization options, so you'll have to manually add things like Swype and Driving mode. This is what *I* love about CM though, it's almost like a 'build your own rom' deal.
I'll stick with TW based roms, might try out MIUI. Using the stock android camera, calendar...no thanks. The TW roms are just as fast. I noticed nothing working faster running the CM7 build which is the usual want from everyone at the expense of good looking and more features(not tweaks).
I just flashed CM9 on my Nexus S, it's meh.

thats whats so great about android as opposed to other devices. Not everyone agrees with your opinions so you can have the software you like and I can have the software I like.

Well then welcome to the wonderful, addictive world of Android If you like to customize then stick with CM7. It's pretty safe to assume that development for this phone is gonna be very good. There are a lot of themes on the market, just search "CM7 theme".

If you don't want tw, wait for miui. Theme chooser sucks. Miui destroys everything as far as theme customization goes. You can mix and match parts of different themes.

Does anyone know of any 4.2.2 ROMs with Pie included from Paranoid Android? Thanks.
you should go look in the dev forums. i hear there are some there.
Sourcery 4.5.5 has pie controls built in.
I'm on sprint and idk how team sourcery did it but I'm on 4.2.2 with no Bluetooth GPS or MMS issues.

I'm on PA3, but also have LMT installed, as I prefer the add'l LMT features, and using PIE w/o expanded desktop being enabled.

just install lmt launcher

you should try to keep all your questions in 1 post. you'll actually get better help that way.
you are on an AOSP rom. you want TW features which are woven into the stock firmware's framework. its essentially a choice: a few TW features vs custom AOSP optimizations. both can share some similar customizations, but not everything is interchangeable.
Any of the feature on TW WILL NOT WORK ON ANYTHING BESIDES TW.....
None!
They're dependant on touchwiz and won't work on anything else.

As long as source code for TW stays unreleased its impossible to port. That's why no devs bother to try and port. Its going in blindfolded. Same with Sense and other UI overlays. So when Samsung releases source code it'll be possible.

What features exactly? There's apps like Wave Control that do similar things...
Ya, there are a lot of apps that allow TouchWiz like features. There is a MMS apk for AOSP roms that has the while in messaging put phone to ear for Direct Dial. Just search in the playstore TouchWiz or galaxy s III things like that.

Well for that particular feature, I recently discovered that Liquidsmooth (and quite possibly CM, as well as JellyBam and others) have this feature in the settings for the stock messaging application. It's the last setting, labelled as "Direct Dial", but it's pretty inconsistent with the auto-dialing. I've noticed that when I'm laying down and attempt to call it won't work because if I put the phone to my ear the screen just flips to landscape view, and stays on. When I'm up right it tends to work, however I haven't had many opportunities to test this out yet.
That would be sweet if someone got two working with aosp, they need to release the code...

I don't like TouchWiz look. I like some of the apps and features. If it were even possible I'd love to have the multi window feature on the AOSP or AOKP rom interface
Check out avatar ROM then. Its touch wiz but its aosp themed.

Unfortunately, that won't be possible. All the apps you just mentioned rely heavily on the TW framework, you must be on TW to use them. I highly recommend Axis ROM, I am a beta tester for it. Should you decide to venture back to TW, check it out!

I don't think I'll go back to it. I do like the HD icons. I just don't like most of the ui. It doesn't have that paranoid android type of feel to it where I can change the DPI and so fourth. When you use xposed the settings and things look bad from it.

Honestly, I'm not sure when it will be out, but there are videos of it on YouTube, seems pretty awesome. Inspired my Facebook Chat Heads
That to me is very fascinating. Now that they have that they should be capable of providing the multi window function as touchwiz does. That would be a great step for Paranoid Android. I have a question for you! Send a message to my inbox!

I really liked the jellybam rom I was using but I wanted the multi Window feature. I switched to Jedi X which is touch wiz based to get the multi Window feature. I just hate touchwiz so I'm probably switching back. Just wondering if any other roms have multi Window feature so I could get the best of both worlds.
Thanks!
