What governor did you use and what frequency did you set?
I had same problem when using brazillianwax (and eventually, lulzactive and SavagedZen)
Recommended to use SmartAssV2 for the governor

I set my friend wonder with 368 i believe in min frequency and max 1ghz, and it is still smooth with smartassv2 / lulzactive / brazilianwax. And it is battery friendly either capping the max to 1ghz only. You should try that and see the changes. Although the battery is not drastically save but it is slightly different from capping the max to 1.4. It all depends on the kernel you're using though. Whose kernel you use?
And for your song problem on screen off it is caused by your min frequency it is too low for running app in 192, try to raise the min frequency to 245 / 368. For my friend phone 368 is the most stable for what your facing.

Minimum cpu frequency

I am running Bionic cow v7.
Why the minimum clock speed is set to 245Mhz instead of 122Mhz?
Shouldn't setting it to 122Mhz saving a lot of battering while idle?
You can set it as you like using setcpu. It depends on you. Cause default setting is always set to 245mhz.

Yes I know, I am actually using No-frills CPU Control that is free.
I was hoping somebody already did a benchmark to see how changing that setting affects the performances and the battery

Battery saving - Governor vs CPU freq?

Installed CM 7.2 but noticed that battery life is not as good as expected as its using ondemand governor all the time. Any suggestions to improve it?
Also can someone tell me which of the following two will save more battery and have better performance!
1.
Awake: Ondemand, min 245MHz, max 806
Sleep: Ondemand, min 245, max 360
2.
Awake: Consevative, min 245MHz, max 1113
Sleep: Consevative, min 245, max 499

Anyway, use smartassV2 as governer for both, and if you want more juice don't OC, so no freq beyond 998.

thanks but my CM 7.2 does not have a smartassv2 governer :\ and will 998 vs 806 MHz have much diff in battery life?

No it won't give you much difference.
Go here and find a descent AOSP kernel (in example tiamat's kernel) and flash it then you will have smartassV2.

last question in above scenario should i replace conservative too with smartassV2? i know there will be big diff in bettery saving but how much diff will it make on battery (above scenario)
It should be a noticeable improvement since smartass has the best freq management (something like various freqs between highest and lowest).
But if you want best battery life, and you like AOSP, MIUI is the best, trust me.

Mildwild is not supported with int2sd. There is no difference in battery life because int2sd doesn't have anything to do with it. Int2sd is a script that mounts you sd-ext partition as internal storage and uses data partition only for apps data so you have a plenty of space on your inrernal storage. Go to the thread I linked you and you'll se what I want to say. If you decide to try choose int2sd-s type of rom.

It will affect battery if you go higher, also the system can become inconsistent with high values like thate. For me it never worked on more than 115.

ok keeping it on 998 only... preformance seems to be good
For me the system sometimes got instable at the lowest possible frequency. Sometimes the whole system freezed.
I would rather recommend you to use 245 MHz as lowest. It won't use much more battery.

KISS-Kernel

excuse me; have question about this kernel; i couldn't post in the original thread;
by setting the min clock speed to 768MHZ & the max to 1407MHZ, How much voltage does it spend? by setting the min to 245MHZ & max to 1024MHZ how much? i overclocked to 1407MHZ , i saw more smoothness and speed; but i felt that its consuming more power!
is overclocking harmful to CPU? ( always overclocking )

Hi
Political correct answer:
Of course OC "can" harm your device - like all OCĀ“ing
Realistic answer:
Most One V devices can handle OCing up to 1.5 without problems
but since this may be specific to chip manifacturing there is no
guarantee that it is. Therefore before using any OC you should
test it very carefully.
And also - Of course running the chip at higher frequencies needs
more power. Simply physics .)
In "normal" daily use the difference is not big because the cpu will
not run at high frequencies most of the time. If you do things
like "heavy" gaming this is of course forcing the cpu to run faster.
To reduce the "effect" a little bit there is a kernel feature called
Undervolting (UV) with that you can reduce the voltage for
specific frequencies. Like OC this is device specific. So some
devices can run stable with more reduced voltage then others
BTW: why to you set the min frequency to 768?
This will limit that the frequency cannot go lower then that if the
device is idle. Running at 245 needs of course less power then 768
max
Thanks for the nice info, well, i heard that some users said that the best frequency for " My One V" rom:
Minimum: 768MHZ
MAX: 1407
I'm using "Set CPU" to OC
So setting the min frequency to 245MHZ will save more power, right?

Yes - especially for the time before the device can go into
"deep sleep" when beeing idle.
The only "disadvantage" is that depending on the govener that you use
there might be a small lag before the frequency scales up
Actually it depends if you notice it at all
If you use govener ondemand it should be no problem
if you use e.g. smartassV2 you might consider thinking about
using some tunables that will reduce that behaviour.

Thanks, yeah, i meant for normal activities, like checking Facebook, mail, watching movies ... So ondemand mode would be better

noticed that lulzactive drop to min fast to help saving more battery (but then ull get laggy with sm apps) so use smartassv2 wn u need ur phone not to drop fast to min and then change back to lulzactive wn ur dn (i always leave its min on 192 and kernel on lulzactive for deep sleep and normal use but shift to smartassv2 while on call or game or listening to music while screen is off) (actually i sometimes set max on 396 for deep sleep and light use "no multitasking" and it works with very few glitches)

The difference is that lulzactive drops to min frequency much faster than smartassV2 specially wn screen is off (to get in deep sleep faster) which will make the sound interrupted and laggy (specially if u r using undervolted kernel) if ur listening to music or making a call while your screen is off , on the other hand wn trying the same preferences (same max and min freq and screen is off) on smartassv2 the sound of music or call isn't laggy anymore
so wt i concluded is use lulzactive to get in deep sleep faster while use smartassv2 to keep the foreground processes running smoothly while creen is off

That is not caused by the lulzactive. It is caused by the min cpu frequencies. It depends on the kernel tweaks. If the kernel is optimized and you set the min cpu frequencies to the lowest it won't affect anything like music playing while the device is not on. But if it's not tweaked then when you set to 192 / 214 ( i don't remember the exact value but it is around that) the stable one is around 384 or you can set it to 412 it won't interrupt your music playing or phone cause i have used lulzactive for almost all the time when i use my wonder and didn't have this problem if i set it not to minimum. You can try to change it yourself to see the difference sometimes even 214 can be real smooth on some device. And undervolt doesn't have anything to do with it.

I think the reason I like the Andrev OC Daemon is because you can automate it to use a lower CPU setting when in deep sleep.
For example, when the screen is on, you can set the max CPU to 1.2 MHz, and set it to reduce this to 256 KHz when you lock your phone.
So easy to use, and the battery lasts an incredible duration longer. I've had 0% decrease in battery for the past 2 hours with the phone on, but on standby.
Highly recommended.

Sorry if i misunderstood, but there are performance settings in Settings menu of CM 10.1.So i have set max CPU frequency to 806 MHz and min to 149 MHz and marked "set on boot". Isn't it underclocking ? Off course you can't undervolt the CPU, but he asks just to underclock.

Yes, that would be underclocking, which has shown results in battery improvements. Essentially, you are trading speed for battery life and its all about getting the balance right.
Obviously, when the screen is turned off, and the phone is inactive, you do not need the CPU to hit heights of 806 MHz, which is where Andrev OC Daemon comes in..
You can set it so that the phone uses up to 806 MHz when active, yet not exceed 149 MHz when the screen is inactive.
I have seen VAST improvements in my battery life using this OC/UC tool.
And I really can't over-exaggerate the 'vast' in that sentence..
