Hi, i look at this site all the time, and i like how helpful everyone is. I never thought to root until recently.
But i come across a problem i installed a the clean rom on my HTC one x Att and went in the recovery mode and now my phone battery light will not charger.
I can still see the phone when i hook it up to windows as QHSUSB_DLOAD. The boot loader was hacked with twrp.
I tried restarting the unit into the bootloader but it will not come on, can someone help me get the phone back functional please.

If you have flashed a recovery from this forum then you have probably bricked your device.
There are 2 models of one x
International Onex with tegra 3 quad core processor.
Codename endeavoru
At&t one x / international one xl with Qualcomm dual core processor
Codename Evita
If you flash the recovery from a tegra one x onto a Qualcomm one x the result is a brick.
I believe it has something to do with tegra recovery offset been the same as Qualcomm bootloader. (Someone correct me if i got it wrong) but whatever the reason the result is a brick

I think he is talking about dual roms for example miui and htc sense rom in the same time. Its possible but we need to achieve s-off first. After s-off we can do this with boot manager app from the play store.
was just asking myself the same question after reading a post in the news section..

Hi, i've updated my HOX to 4.1.1 but haven't rooted it when it was in 4.0.4, and i want to root it for the first time now, but i haven't found any topic regarding my situation. My question is can i use the root method that is on htc one x root info on this site, or not if not how to root it now ?

Yeah sure,its only an update.use the same way since
1.bootloader isn't related to jellybean update
2.recovery isn't related to the update
3.supersu works on all phones
So go root your phone, I don't know how you can handle it unrooted with stock Rom

I saw and read that post. It all looks good. But I am confused about the toolkit I should download since there are two HTC One X here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24972527
How do I know if I will get the tools for Tegra3 or Evita? Is it possible to see what kind of CPU I have somewhere in Settings on my device?
Check the bootloader it sais in the top of the screen if it's evita (one XL) or endeavoru (tegra 3)

It should run just fine once a port has been made.

I'm sorry, I might be in the wrong forum but since there's no ONE XL lol. So I bought this ONE XL from Hong Kong and I'm in Mexico. I got the phone and everything was great until it prompted me to update my software so I clicked yes, it updated to 4.1 something with sense 4+ and then it prompted me to update again so I clicked yes. Thing is it updated to 4.2.2 with sense 5. Everything was good until I realized I could access my phone as storage divice so I can't transfer file in or out of it. There is no CONNECT TO PC option. And another thing, it erased the SPANISH phone language (i need it because i share the phone with my gf). So I did some research and found out about morelocale 2 which would allow me to add Spanish back again but turns out I need SU access. So I thought it would be much easier to just flash a rom and use something with 4.0.3 again. The phone was already sim-unlocked and with S-OFF so all I did was unlock the bootloader but when I flash a recovery like clorckwork or twrp it goes to a white HTC SCREEN LOGO and in red letters thes this "this build is made for development purposes only...." and then it reboots like 3 times and starts the phone up normal again. Anyone knows what can I do? Or what am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Yep as Mr hofs said don't open many threads and there exists a forum for one xl...just search better....also you can even use Google like HTC one xl xda or so....!
