It is with a heavy heart that I make this thread..... I am hov primoc and a senior member with hopes of new titles in the future. I have attempted to assist all as much as possible to make everyone's time here as wonderful as mine has been.I have requested to be taken off provisions and black jellys o.p and left under brads control if possible. I will be taking a leave from xda for around 6 to 9 months in a attempt to help/save myself via a health center as I no longer can maintain a healthy safe day to day life alone. I am greatly sickend by this and can only extend my sincere apologizes for any inconvenience that may cause you all along with the moderation team, this great community here in the hov & the whole xda community. I only hope that I am successful in my attempt for a solution to my problem before it is to late so that I will be able to return what this community has given me. if it wasn't for my wife and all of u I would not feel as if I had much of a reason for bettering my self and wouldn't of found something to devote my time and passion to in a positive manner for once.

I would like to thank any dev that has provided any work for the et4g. If you have done any work for this phone from wallpapers ,roms,kernels and mods. I notice that a couple of my favorite people(devs) from my original Epic read and posted here. I always thank you when I borrow your work on the dev threads but just so you know, I too very much appreciate your efforts and sometimes thick skin
I've owned a lot of devices and there have been some with little to no support...even some with no root. Since the first day I started watching these forums I was impressed with the developers and the work being done. Since buying the phone they only continue to impress me.

We have some devs that come from epic4g and there wasn't much of a learning curve for them ... Then we have some devs that came from htc and this phone is really nothing like a htc ....there is a big learning curve there ....
Aosp is totally a different beast also ... The learning curve is alot bigger on ics vs gingerbread... With all the new back smalli junk in the rom... This is one reason ics is alot harder to deal with . It is nothing like the roms to date. Well if people don't respect what the devs do. Install ubuntu in windows , get android kitchen and try to make your own rom .... You will then have much respect for the work they give us ..

That was chris41g (above) and it was pretty slick of him. I think it is beyond pitiful for people to complain about all of the unpaid work that goes on in these and other forums.
Chris is the man. He doesn't even own the phone and yet somehow puts up with a bunch of **** and keeps chugging away making our lives better.

Im Alex and i just got this awesome phone a few weeks ago and i just got around to rooting it last week.. Im currently on Malice which is infriggincredable this and blue ray are just pure friggin art.. you guys are def masters of your craft.. I came here from the galaxy s 4g forum for which raver is single handedly doing awesome things there.. I just had to have this beast of a phone.. i chose the white one cause i like the silver around the white.. anyway i just wanted to say hi to all.. this is the second phone ive rooted so im pretty much a newb.. im not a flashoholic however these incredible roms make it difficult not to.. thank you to all you all for all the great work you do....

XDA-developers is a staple site for me. I check for new roms/mods/etc. every day multiple times a day. I finally got around to creating an account now that I feel I might be able to help others from experiences I've had. More so I've been scared to join for fear of being accused of noobdom.
Rooted and rommed Mytouch 4G, G2x, Sensation 4G, Amaze 4G, and waiting on my Galaxy S2 to come back from Samsung for an LCD replacement so that I can get my flashing fix! (I've been dying trying to use a blackberry in it's week's absence...)
Anyway, it's great to see that a fellow new member was treated with such kindness. Hopefully I'll receive the same hospitality.
Also, as a CS major I hope to be joining the actual developers soon. Learning my way around java and the android SDK at the moment. Wish me luck!

I know,i LOVE WFS,but it can be pain in the ass,especialy during the summer...it gets overheated and HOT,HOT,HOT...and then some kind of sclerosis hits him,and becomes slooooooow,unresponsive while multitasking(in my case voice over net,mails,pics etc...at the same time)..i dont play games on it,i mean..i dont even play f..n tetris or angry birds..nothing..i just need to type,send pics,doing my mails and stuff while im on the call over wifi.And sadly it does not deliver what i want.
Oh...as for me..SENSE 2.1 is still prettier then 4.0...and HTC made hacking and modding,flashing this a real pain in the butt experience(noobs beware).
You have to flash boot.img separetly with each rom...so without PC in your hand your stuck with stock.There are few tools that is making it easier,but i dont like having third party .bat files on my PC...so ADB.
And Bla,bla,bla,bla,bla...sorry i get carried away sometimes while typing.

It is a shame like ^ said that the community is bad for a pretty decent phone like that. I would hate to have a nexus though. Being a developer there would be hell, everybody would be kanging eachothers work, all the good ports would be taken by propropro devs and nobody would be able to handle the amount of noobs there.

No i have not forgotten what the sgs2 community did for me. Without going into to much detail have had alot of real life stuff i have had to deal with. Now that its less stress first off i would like to appoligize to you all for being absent. N second look for a few new roms here in the future. <3

His jellybeast ROM was the first one that I ever flashed. Being a newb at this, I expected issues from everything I had heard about custom ROMS, but it was totally stable and ran great.

hi all I am alive.
thanks for letting me read this. honestly I needed a break for a while even though I check this and other xda threads four or five times a day still.
havent been building lately just too lazy. maybe soon I will get my steam back.
and just a note on the side: this was all my doing not anyone elses of course. I take fulll responsibility for my ignorance haha ill be back one day witha great ROM and Kernel combo I hope. no real plans for when but when I make something good I'll release it into sourceforge database.
until then peace and my pm is or was off cause I had a nasty little kid pm'ing me about how he knew everyone and was going to have me booted off xda so I just disabled my pm's... I don't need some kid trying to be abusive... anyway hes on my ignore list now. and I think I know that there are plenty of people that are cool around here. so thanks! and be good or good at it =]
